#2 this is the BIG ONE, now think about this.
Mist time mf gear takes away from stats we need to be stronger. The final difficulty is going to be insanly hard. Now put all mf gear on and try to go out and solo farn? you might succeed some what. BUT LETS take a 4 man group, 2 of them with 300% mf each = 150% per member. The mf gear ppl play as support, the non mf gear people play as take or main dps. Basically create teamwork to work off the hardest mobs idn the hardest difficulty and all gaining better drops.
You may not think the final difficulty will be hard to solo, but it will be especially if your gear is mf based and not stat based
- no leechers
- social groups will be made based on skill level of the players (ones which can output good dmg with high MF welcome here ;). I believe this could be a good change as it would help not to mix snobs/elitist/etc with casual player who wants to play for fun.
- good for economy, bots (ppl who just play for items to sell) will stick together, use the best gear (with high MF) and they will do fast not enjoyable runs through the content together without making our play boring and stressful cause they want to run faster and faster and kick everybody who is not a runner. They will do this hard boring work and find very low drop rate items for us which we can always buy from time to time from RAHM
- encourage creation of guilds where people share their items. MF being an average should not impact people playing with gm8s.
- ppl who kill fast with huge MF should join a guild or bots to benefit the most and not stress casual random players
- casuals and people who play with relaxation in mind don't have to worry for MF that much and be stressed that it is averaged between other 3 random players as they should not even stack it much. They will probably use RAHM if they need something badly (smth what let them finish inferno at least once, etc)
- as you can see from above single play will be only beneficial if you cannot join specialized good guild or bots groups which you should be able if you are so great fast killer and high MFinder
- as in averagely good group you should be able to kill faster in inferno you some lack of MF may be compensated enough to forget about stacking MF altogether (though it is doubtful)
BUT LETS take a 4 man group, 2 of them with 300% mf each = 150% per member.
300% on 2 players = 600. So 150 each.
Although to be honest I'd lean towards everyone just having 150% mf and decent gear.
Depends if I have a monk in the group who is focusing on healing/buffing. I'd be fine with him carrying most of the MF. Same with something like a WD spamming pets and CC.
There are reasons why it would be better to have some people stack it. It all depends on the type of character they are running.
I'm actually more okay with the change than I thought I'd be. Instead of MF stackers being horrible burdeons on your party essentially sponging off your hard work for better loot, they sacrifice their own killing power and give everyone better loot. Not too bad actually
This seems like a good change to combat leaching, but I'm worried it will now discourage people with the very best gear from joining co-op games through the match making system. If you've managed to put together a set of MF gear that also has all your important dps and survival stats, then playing in a co-op game with lesser geared people would not only let people leech off your killing power, but also your MF. Why would you want to potentially give up 75% of your MF in this case?
i hate teamwork in pve(love in pvp), i always liked diablo2 cos i had the possibility to do mf runs alone to find better gear, and never bother to try get a group of ppl to do so(like wow that u need a group for almost everything).
i don't like this change to mf, not a bit.
i want to mf ALONE, and if i need to be in group i don't want to share my mf, yes i am greedy, and i don't want other ppl to take advantage of my equip _
So you would have a group where your stacking your mf as high as possible and letting others do the work with lower mf and you don't think it would be a good idea to implement shared mf? Edit: you have shed light on the exact problem this fixes and your arguing that as the reasoning to not fix it.
As for playing alone this does not affect that, they actually said you can get some % from your followers.

Yep. Keep in mind that they'll be carrying your dead weight because you'll be a useless contributor to the fights with 300 MF gear equipped.
he said "TWO of them with 300% mf EACH" - so 600 / 4 = 125% - as he said! ;-)
300% on 2 players = 600. So 150 each.

Demon hunter/ witch doctor = crowd control. Fear. Traps.

i guess if you look at the mfer as supporters then that's no problem. But the teamwork that just depends on your play group.
