i was just looking at my receipt for my collectors edition from back in october and realized... what the hell.. they keep pushing back the game and its already been 4 months and possibly when the game releases... 6 months or so? i think with all these delays we should get extra cool shit in our collectors edition for them delaying the crap outta the game. i understand they are polishing the game, thats cool polish our collectors special items too. just my opinion lol

...Been playing Diablo Since Diablo 1 came out...and haven't stopped playing Diablo since...
I don't really understand why people feel like they've been entitled to the game for months.
There have not been a single release date announcement yet, and that equals to no missed dates and no pushbacks.
Just let them finish the game and enjoy it when it's done. All this whining is really giving me a headache.
I also don't understand how people can be unhappy with Blizzard at all. The game will be done when it's done, stop obsessing.
I have to agree with everyone here. I have seen this on tons of forums regarding the game. I don't understand what makes people feel they have this entitlement. You pre-ordered a game that had no release date. They had a time frame and it got pushed back. By this time I would feel everyone would be used to Blizzard never actually making a date. Get over it all ready.
Side note...this isn't just something with this game. I work in retail and everyday there are people that want something for nothing.
And why does it make you more special then the people who preordered normal copy of DIablo?
Leaving the main point of this thread behind for a sec.
Simpel, we pay more then the people who buy the regulair edition or even worse, get it free off of 6 month wow subs. Thats what makes us just a tiny bit more special, its that simpel.
Which is why you get whats in there...nothing more nothing less. You are paying for what you get. Not like you are paying the CE price for the normal game. So like the guy said...no more special than anyone else.
Personally I am happy with everything we get. The artbook, behind the scenes DVD , the diablo skull ( best desktop trinket EVER) not to mention the in game items. Im happy with what we get ... I just wish we could get it sooner rather then later ...
It seems to be standard with what Blizzard has been issuing in the Collector's Edition's for the last couple releases. You do get the most out of it if you play all three major franchises though as they include items for each. I think it would be cool if they included access to the classic versions of the games though. I'm not sure if the USB flash drive includes access to D2 or if it just has it so you don't have to download it. I do think that's one thing they could add, other than that you still get plenty.
It still comes with loads of stuff. An artbook, a mousepad(??), the soundtrack, the actual game(!), awesome wings for your character, ????, etc.
Something that has had no official releasedate cannot have been delayed. Aiming for something is not the same as saying that something will happen at a fixed time/place.
Well, personally, I think that collector's edition of Diablo 3 is pretty good packed, and it doesn't need anything else. I will definitely buy it, as soon as it became possible here in my country (Serbia). I didn't considered buying just key (only digital), I want to be able to place box on shelve and admire it :))
Cheers
The collectors edition is pretty loaded full of cool stuff. I wish the flash drive was bigger then 2gs though =(
According to the battle.net page for the collectors edition it is a 4gb pen drive not 2.
Serpenth, the question as to what the D2 on the drive is has came up previously, it is license keys for the game not just a preview or something liek that. - hope that info helps.
I would be afraid that if they decide to add more stuff to the CE, that it would push back launch even more so that they can make all of the new extra crap you are asking for. I for one think that this CE is pretty nice as it is already.
I don't think we should be rewarded for waiting. That's like the kids in school who get paid for getting good grades. We can't be fussy just because the game isn't out when we'd like it to be, because it will be out eventually, and sooner rather than later. In a few months, or (if something goes horribly wrong), in six months probably. It's not like we're waiting our entire lives or we can't do anything until then.
I think the collectors edition is great as it is... the art book looks sick, the behind the scenes dvd is pretty sweet too. What i really like is the USB and the Diablo skull *Drool*. Not to mention it comes with those awesome in game wings and free diablo ii and diablo ii: LoD on the USB. Asking for more is just being greedy.
Definitely agree that the collectors edition is just grand with what it comes with already. It's comparable to other blizzard game releases and who couldn't love the skull USB anyways! I for one was happy enough to preorder it for the wings in game and the World of Warcraft pet =D
Well, I recently pre-ordered the collector's edition from gamestop about a month ago or so. I was really hesitant o do it, and was waiting for a release date to preorder, but then i saw a forum on here that said amazon wasnt accepting any more collectors editions. the thread was like 8 pages and alot of people were saying alot of stores arent accepting anymore, so i rushed down and got it. as for whats IN the collectors edition, we know it has the skull statue, the 4gb USB with diablo 2 and D2 LoD, the sound track, the art booklet, special collectors-edition only in game items. thats some pretty nice swag, and its the usual items in a collectors edition. as for adding more stuff to it, i dont think its necessary. everyone hates the wait but we dont need to be compensated with more stuff
the thing to keep in mind though is that we dont know the final retail price.... the price you see on websites and such is subject to change because it was never announced by blizzard. when it was initially announced, on the page it said the retail price, the release date, and other such information will be announced in later months.

(this build was before D3 launched... looking back on it now - i had no idea what i was doing)
I think we couldn’t expect anything more than this, this is usually what you can see in all CE for Blizzard games.
You can see some 'smaller' studios have more items in CE (Witcher 2 for example), but this is probably to attract more players... Blizzard already has HUGE fan base, plus Diablo 3 CE is pretty cool. Cant wait to get my hands on it !

Lets be honest who would not like more stuff for their money. Especially when money can be tight these days for many people. I realize its is frustrating for most if not all people cause the game gets getting pushed back but deep down we all want it to be the greatest game possible when it is finally reaches our hands. Getting more stuff is always cool but come on we cant ask for more than we have already been provided. The physical/in-game stuff we r given is a lot already.
WE get:
1. The game
2. Diablo Skull base and 4GB usb soulstone ( The USB can be placed into the base which really makes it a set and inside the USB we get Diabo II AND Diablo II: Lord of Destuction
3. Diablo II IN-GAME glowing angel wings AND an exclusive BANNER AND DYE that can be used on armor which does it ever run out. (dye colors: CLOUD and SMOKE
-WOW fetish shaman pet (which runs around by ur side in game.
-Starcraft 2- portraits.
4. BLU-ray/dvd BEHIND THE SCENES ( 2 disc)
5. 208 page ART OF DIABLO 3 BOOK.
HOWEVER, IF THEY WANT TO ADD SOMETHING ELSE I WOULD NOT MINE BUT IM GOOD EITHER WAY.
PS IF THEY DO ADD SOMETHING I WANT IT TO BE AN IN-GAME THING THAT CAN B DOWNLOADED AT A LATER DATE NO PHYSICAL STUFF CAUSE THAT COULD POTENTIALLY DELAY THE GAME FURTHER.
Every night I go to bed thinking maybe tomorrow I will wake up and hear of a release date.
Dunno if it has been posted yet, but I think they have already been made and are being stored somewhere, ready to ship. So I don't think there will be anything at all added. Maybe something digitally, but I really don't think so...

Probably most of the stuff--art books, music, and the skull. I'm hoping the discs are new and that we won't have to update six month's of work the moment we get everything installed. Probably the behind-the-scenes discs are also going to be created once everything is done.
