We don't deserve more for it. No one has actually bought the game from Blizzard so no one deserve nothing except the hope of D3 coming out in our lifetime. And before someone yells at me for such a thing, you pre-ordered the game from a Third-Party, not from Blizz. So that money was given to places like Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop, etc. Not Blizzard. But if they do add anything to the Collector's Edition, I feel it should be the first Diablo. It is the only game I can't find of the Diablo series(I use to have it but can't find the CD anymore.) and I miss playing it.

I don't always burn. But when I do, I use hellfire.
Im really looking forward to the dye and wings. I do think a 4GB USB stick is pathetic since u can order an 16gb USB3 stick for €19,- nowadays. The artbook's from Blizzard are allways awesome. I bought a CE from WoW:BC. I still browse the artbook. Holy smokes, I didnt know it's going to be 208 pages tho.
The only thing I ever want from my Collector's Edition is the book where all the art is.
Hopefully it will contain something super sweet (Haven't actually took a sneak peak because I want it to be a bit of surprise for when iam actually holding it in my hands)
Also blizzard usually have nice candy in them. But apparently you don't agree here!
I can't decide if I should get the collector's edition and open the box or buy an extra regular copy to play, then e-bay the CE in a few years. I saw some CE editions of older blizzard games on there for like $3k. %3000 gain on my investment...
Normal:
The full version of the Diablo III game on DVD-ROM. - $59.99
Collectors:
The full version of the Diablo III game on DVD-ROM. -$59.99
Diablo Skull and 4GB USB Soulstone (includes Diablo II and Diablo II:Lord of Destruction) $20 for USB, $10 for holder (estimated), and $29.99 for Diablo II battlechest
Diablo III - Aesthetic Artifacts - $0, I can't put a price on this, its never been done before.
World of Warcraft - Fetish Shaman Pet - we will say $10 value like the other Warcraft pets
StarCraft II - Battle.net Portraits - $0 for neat for SCII players
Behind the Scenes Blu-Ray/DVD Set - $10
The Art of Diablo III - $20
Diablo III Soundtrack - $15
and unconfiirmed Mouse Pad (they are usually unmentioned but still included) - $5 if included.
Now thats all for $40 more
The collectors edition has a guestimate value of around $180 for only $99.99 and on top of that if you are a WoW player you can essentially get the colelctors for only $40 since you get 4 free months of wow that saves you $60bucks.
i think the bonuses you get with the collectors edition fit well in the package of diablo 3. the USB stick is pretty awsome, even knowing it is filled with a precious Diablo 2 to be played over again, or to share with a friend. its allways fun to play old games like this. reminds me of young times. allthough i do not really like the In-game item system, yet it still adds something special in my opinion. so im pleased with the complete package is it is right now... some people just have way to much expectations
The same thing is gonna happen with D2 that happened with Starcraft. You are going to go play it after playing D3 and be like WTF happened to the graphics!!!???
I believe the collectors edition for Diablo 3 is fine! My only beef would be that most Australian stores, when they sell the collectors edition, they say they sell it (which is fine) but what they don't tell you is that it excludes a few things that the American Collectors Edition contains. This happened with me when I pre-orded the 200 odd dollar Gears of War 3 Epic Edition to find out that i was really only buying the Collectors Edition.
The silly people at the store thought that the epic edition was the collectors edition and didn't take the time to actually find out what i was talking about! Moral of the story, Australia get's cut short with alot of tings when it comes to games. So don't complain that you think that the Collectors Edition doesn't contain enough because you've been waiting longer.
P.S. ( I do realise I did probably buy the game from a dodgey joint but they're the only ones that don't overprice them by adding the cost of limbs to the price)

Bashiok - Blizzard Representative - 08/01/2011 -"So how many skill combinations are there now? Well taking into account 6 active skills, all the rune combinations, and 3 passives we currently expect each class to have roughly 2,285,814,795,264 different build combinations."
"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"
We don't deserve anything more for our collectors edition. We choose to buy it with what's included for the price they set. If you don't believe the price is worth the contents, no one is making you buy it. That's the beauty of being a consumer if you're able to vote with the strongest asset the company needs, your money. If you think you deserve more from it, vote with your wallet and don't buy it. I've been waiting for so many years for Diablo 3 that if I had a kid when Diablo 2 exp came out the kids would be either in their last year of middle school or their first year of high school. That's how long I've been waiting and I'm still going to be buying the collectors edition because I feel as though I deserve it. I waited. I was as quick as I could be to preorder it and I spent the money I worked for too deserve it. I cannot wait to get it and blizzard is extremely well known to take their time with their products and their track records of awards one on every single title prove it.
Sorry if there's any word errors. I'm typing this from my phone.
