I dont know why you guys keep saying this... IM not the only one who has viewed every single picture... we are pulling out the best ones as we go, none will be missed. Plus submissions are slowing down.. -takes a deep breath-
edit: Though what im getting tired of is seeing someone post their picture on page 20...then reposted (same user) again on page 50...and then again on 102 ... with a total of 3 posts ...

What I was saying is that you'll have to judge the pictures from your own perspective and understanding of humor. You might as well like mine the best, but from where I'm standing there are so many great ones that deserve far more attention. The part of the staff that doesn't have time to visit 4chan or 9gag and develop a sense of the internet's odd sense of humor will be a bad judge. :]
Not saying that's gonna be the case at all, but I predict a lot of comments going "pff, I saw like at least 30 images better then the one they picked".
There was an art contest for Path of Exile beta keys a while back, and when the winners were chosen there were a LOT of sour people, drama ensued etc. etc. ad nauseum.
Diablofans rules, they knew it would be 1000+ comments. Thats why they took their time after Force uploaded a (no, sorry two, first one didnt count ) beta contest(s) on youtube.
Following contests are gonna be harder when people know that beta is out (some get this news a bit late).
I'd be one that posted a banana reference lol. Went through about 5 pages of not seeing one, and just didn't have the patience to go through 75 pages to see if the idea was used or not. Either way, posted one up for the hell of it. But over 1k comments in what, a day and a half? yea not holding my breath. Think I've given up on the idea of actually playing d3 till release, or time available after school. GG on new release date going to be right when I start international schooling =|
One wonders if the mods can really get through all those submissions. More and more as I various community sites hold contests I wonder if anything other than a random drawing is really practical, heh.
I have to agree. When you're up to 2000 submissions, it becomes less fair. Human beings grow tired and impatient and nobody is going to look at submission 1750 with the same "fresh" eyes they looked at submission 15. But on the other hand, a random draw for a caption contest doesn't make sense either.
I do think that it should be limited to 1 submission though. Less submissions to have to weed through on their part (because let's face it, unfunny/unclever people are unfunny/unclever regardless if they put in 1231820931 submissions), It's a week long contest, if someone changes their mind or comes up with a better idea they have plenty of time to revise their submission. But that's just my opinion and it's their contest I know my (only) submission won't win, but I'm glad to be given the opportunity to beat the opt in odds.
I disagree, what if someone already submitted one and came up with one they just couldn't pick. I dont think we should limit them...so we dont have to deal with all the people with 3 posts, posting a total of 3 pics.
and trust me... I'm not getting tired and losing interest as im looking. actually just caught up from when I wen to bed last night (page 103) to now..and found what is now one of my tops.
I posted one originally when I first came across the contest. A few minutes after, I realized that it could have been a little funnier so I deleted my post and re-posted my edited version, hope that isn't an issue.
he said you could go all out, so yes, they are 100% allowed.
I did a couple and was going to post them, then I saw there were already 1000 posts, today there are almost 2000 posts, so I decided not to bother. I've only read a couple of pages, but I can't imagine what I came up with is that incredibly much better than 2000 other people, and I'm realistic, so good luck to everyone else!

Same here. The thread went explosive. A friend of mine (who is not a member) told ME about it. :/ I also post so infrequently and am such a creeper, I'd feel bad if I'd get one and more active members did not.

This one was one of the few that made me laugh. Nice job.
