Okay, after that I can finally place to chips in and say we won't get any Beta news at Gamescom; just my reasoning though. Though after the "In the meantime watch for info coming out of #Gamescom", I'm confident we'll get new infoz on some features at least.

I'm actually more looking forward to new infoz rather than a beta that I have an extremely slim chance of getting into. New gameplay videos would be awesome!

Yep. I've been trying to stay optimistic and say mid-late august ever since the Call, but I guess it really is looking more and more like "Sometime" in September.
New info will be AWESOME though. Im crossing my fingers for finilzed skill / passive lists with discriptions! (I can dream)
There are a few first time to be shown to public at gamescon. Dota 2 and Borderlands 2 and Bastion tomorrow! See, I'm trying my best to cheer you guys up =D
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
Beta start date announcement at Gamescom. I mean, we're at Radament right now - the beginning of Act 2!
Speculation machine: ON!
July 27th: Force and Sixen were invited to Blizzard's HQ to get their hands on the beta. First time that the beta was played by outsiders. This event begins the wait for the fans to get into the beta: (FINAL ENCOUNTER) BAAL, ACT 5
August 1st: NDA lifts, and info is shared with the rest of the world. Not even a week has past since the press event: DIABLO, ACT 4
August 3rd: Mike Morhaime mentions in the Q3 conference call that the recent press event had players playing a NEAR COMPLETE version of the closed beta. No start date announced: MEPHISTO, ACT 3
August 15th: Bashiok tweets that we are at Radament in terms of the wait remaining for the beta. Gamescom is right around the corner, with Diablo seemingly the focus. Quite some time has past since the August 3rd conference call, thus surpassing Duriel: RADAMENT, ACT 2
August 17th: Gamescom arrives. A beta date announcement is imminent: ANDARIEL, ACT 1
One week remains before the wait for the closed beta ends: (FIRST ENCOUNTER) ZOMBIE, ACT 1
I never understood the people that actually thought there would be beta info at gamescon, if the beta was that close they would have shared that info @ conference call earlier this month.
What systems aren't revealed yet. I have lost track.
End-game?
Inferno?
What else?
I'm not 100% sure those would be considered systems.. I mean yes they could fit the description of functions in the game to deepen play-ability, but I feel Blizzard will withhold these things for us to find out ourselves upon first play through. There are sure to be plenty of features that Blizzard wants to surprise us with when we first play the release version of the game.
