So.... I want a better trading system in D3 as many of you do too as well !
So here are my ideas....
Dont create silly things like global market.
Instead, make a new game mode called "Trading" aside from the regular "Normal, Nightmare, Hell"
These game mode will be open to public with no PW set to them
The map boundary is restricted in this mode, you cannot proceed with your quests, or fight in dungeons.
Only trading allowed, there will be no waypoints.
That being said, blizzard can increase the player limit efficiently in these kinds of mode.
Maybe up to 10 ~ 20 if everything works out. I dont know what the magic number will be but 10 sounds resonable.
Conclusion:
You will have the option to see two different categories when you joining a game
One tab will say, Co-op, The otherone tab will say Trading.
If you click trading, you will be shown the list of games that are open.
This will be easier, it will be faster and alot more efficient.
I can join 2 ~ 3 games and i'll have alrdy met 30 people.
People will also have ways to find the items they want by writing the description.
Your opinions on this ?
P.S - Global market sounds too boring, Diablo is about adventure and meeting your fellow fighters along the way.
I'd say this can give that "Meeting" experience that suits the style of adventure.
I personally want a global economy. I never liked item trading as it was too time consuming to find the person who had what you wanted and you had what they wanted.
However, I understand that some people still want this personal trade system. I think creating a trade section just for this would be the best compromise so people can still do this if they want without it interrupting everyone else.

I see where you're coming from zerg4hire, in that actively trading with another player is more fulfilling than a global market would be. I disagree that it out weighs the benefits though. In a market a solid economy can be established, with standard prices for each item, and a much easier time finding what you want. I still doubt they implemented a market, though I wish so badly they did.

Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
I understand your concerns for trading but I highly doubt that they are going to create game world just for trading. I think that method would add a significant cost for servers. Since this game looks like it is going to be supported by unit sales and not by subscriptions. There might be some micro transactions.

But what bothers me is the fact that only 4 players can join the game at a time.
And chances are their going to be your friends...
So, your not going to be running into a lot of people who'll see your Trading stash

I agree, thats a really awsome idea, just have it so maybe a little notification will appear top screen if theres been any offers on your stash items, and you can quickly accept or not quickly.
Of course this could slow the game down if you wanted to examine the offer, so could leave it as notification and check it out when you get to town again.

Honestly, if people see something they like in this trade stash, how many offers would they have to make you to find something that you want in return for the item. This is my biggest problem with straight trades. All gold does is equalize every item into a common currency. So, you don't have to find that one person that wants your voodoo mask for their epic axe. You can sell the voodoo mask to anyone for the gold and then use that gold to buy the axe you need. I don't see why so many people are against a universal currency.

I think the auto economy according to supply-demand is definetly the way to go, especially in the long-run.

I don't think a global market, like the WoW auction house would fit Diablo 3. Not because it's an MMO mechanic, not because it would be "ripped off" from other games. It's because there are no Bind on Pickup (BoP) items in Diablo 3, only Bind on Equip (BoE).
This means that ANY item would be obtainable by simple gold grinding, and would effectively decrease the players incentive to seek out the drop. Because let's face it, why work your butt off for an item, if it probably won't have the exact stats you want, while you can just as easily grind gold and buy the item, with the exact stats you want.
If I wanted to grind for currency so I can buy the stuff I want I'd go to my office.
And in WoW if you really want to make some cash with the auction house you're basically going to have to buy every item of a kind and have a monopoly on that particular item, selling it for more. Which means basically staying at the auction house the whole day for the first few days until the new price sinks in (otherwise people will refuse to buy until the price evens out again), doing nothing but buying up and reposting items.

I can appreciate the feelings many people have towards trading in D2 and how it's an interesting and fun mechanic. However, for a game with perhaps one million players online at any one time all connected to their realm, it presents itself as murderous swarm of potential buyers. Having an item for item system looks much like 100,000 merchants all crammed together on a single plaza. In order to have a functioning market on these scales, gold is more or less necessary.
Which means basically staying at the auction house the whole day for the first few days until the new price sinks in (otherwise people will refuse to buy until the price evens out again), doing nothing but buying up and reposting items.
WoW servers are around 5,000 people. If the D3 marketplace is global in the region, then it will be considerably harder to control any one market, with perhaps one million players. A coordinated effort between groups of players could perhaps pull it off, but even that's questionable.
On the other hand, having no player interaction at all would not be in the spirit of the Diablo game and would make gold have too much of a direct relationship to effort spent. That's nice because it takes time away from trading and back into actually playing the game, but it also makes the whole economy pointless.
Others would argue that it makes the economy fair and functioning.

PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

What i think we are forgetting is that we can salvage items. Salvaging should automatically take care of the crappy items, so that most of what is being traded in the AH will be the high quality items.

A Post Concerning The Real-Money Auction House:
"Except real money trading has always been present in Diablo 2. Except now it's going to be officially supported which will reduce scams, prevent the funding of the black market so your kids will no longer be exposed to dangerous life ruining drugs like the cancer causing marijuana."
The trading stash would be open to anyone in a trading window, either in game or in the realm lobby. You can likely set some conditions when you place an item in the trading stash and then go from there.
And maybe we could get a message every time someone offers something for one of our items in the trade section of the stash, you could then accept or decline. This message could be a small pop up on the corner of the screen. Sounds kinda cool to me xD

I wouldnt mind a poor trading system to be honest. I jsut dont want spammed chat so i guess i do expect some sort of trade support.
