Alright so you want me to be politely negative or just simply negative? You decide:
Plain Negative: There is no soruce whatsoever except your bias bullshit
Politely Negative: There is no source to your negative posts
And I don't understand what you mean by common sense, common sense to post a reply with no point whatsoever? Right....

I still stand to my opinion that Blizzard North should be credited for Diablo 3, for setting the FOUNDATIONS of the DIABLO UNIVERSE. Probally not credited for the development of the entire game but atleast for the example.
I think that Atari should be credited too. They essentially brought gaming into the home. If it wasn't for them then Diablo wouldnt be here. And I think Bill Gates should be credited, without him, there wouldn't be a Windows to run Diablo on. And I think we should credit Thomas Eddison for discovering that you can harness electricity as well.
*Completely ignores the ignorance of the entire forum surrounding the Roman Republic.*
All right, you guys need to lay off this whole Roman Empire business. It is an invalid argument to this situation because you are comparing indirect, to direct influences.
Indirectly, the Roman empire influenced our lives today. Sure, this is true, but they do not have any direct affect to our current lives.
Similarly, you can point out that you are alive directly because of your parents. However, because of a decision to keep a child back in 20,000 BC, instead of sacrificing it to the gods, you indirectly owe your existence to this decision. (This is a theoretical situation to show a point)
As you can see, time effects direct and indirect influences.
As for Blizzard North, they are a direct influence for Diablo III, even if they did not work on the game. They made the first 2 games, and presumably, help start the third, and might have even finished it before they scrapped it.
Blizzard North should be credited because they started the franchise, and made every single Diablo game to date. Also, Blizzard is only going off Blizzard North's Diablo and Diablo II to make Diablo III, making Blizzard North a direct and primary influence.
Please, no more Roman Empire garbage. Besides, the Romans stole everything from the Greeks...

Once again, I'm going to ask you people arguing for a Blizzard North logo, "Why aren't you arguing for the books to have a Blizzard North logo?"
You are 100% correct. Blizzard North is the entire reason for ANY Diablo at all. They should recieve some credit.
Oh, and loved how you had to jab at those 'thieving' Romans one last time hahaha.

Well, I could even talk seriously and personally about sex without saying something akin to, "My girlfriend and I have had sexual intercourse not once, not twice, but thrice. During these times I had inserted my penis in and out of her vagina and ejaculated accordingly. I gently sobbed afterwards while she held me in her arms. This has all brought us closer together."
Blizzard North should be credited because they started the franchise, and made every single Diablo game to date. Also, Blizzard is only going off Blizzard North's Diablo and Diablo II to make Diablo III, making Blizzard North a direct and primary influence.

I agree. And Gutenberg for the printing press, and the Chineese for paper! They deserve to be credited for the books, if it wern't for them you wouldnt have any book to read!
The books should of had the Blizzard North logo in my opinion...
LinkX, you seem to not understand direct and indirect connection. Atari, Bill Gates, Thomas Edison, and Gutenburg all affected many things directly. However, the argument that Bill Gates (or any of the others) directly influenced Blizzard North's Diablo or Diablo II, is far fetched.
Blizzard North set the foundations of the Diablo Universe and develoepd it thouroughly, this is what they should be credited for. The comparism of the Roman Empire states that if you start something thats unique you should be credited for it, not sure what's to not understand.
Looks like little ViVi is in desperate need for some serious dose of reality on how a real company actually works, lmao...

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees

Blizzard North is gone, thus it can not touch Diablo 3. Bill gates isn't in Blizzard, thus he can not touch Diablo 3. If it wern't for these two then Diablo 3 would not exsist. They are both INDIRECTLY responsible for Diablo 3. If niether of them did what they did then Diablo 3 would not exsist.

No dissrespect for you, because I don't know who you are, but I have done it before and I most likely will do it again.
Anyway, I don't understand why we want to give credit to people who didn't work on it.
Which gives me an idea. [Sarcasm]PUT ME ON THE DIABLO 3 GAME CREDITS! I BOUGHT DIABLO 2 AND THUS HELPED THE GAME GET TO WHERE IT IS! WOOHOO![/Sarcasm]
Diablo III is the third installment of a series which was created by a company that does not exist anymore.
Diablo III is based off Diablo II, and Diablo, which means it is not based off any other intellectual property or source.

Diablo II
Bill Gates only directly influenced Microsoft. Everything else, is just an indirect action, relying on many other people. So, Bill Gates indirectly contributed to Diablo III. Yea, sure. But did he directly do anything, NO.
Blizzard North created the series, and is the primary reference that Blizzard is using in creating Diablo III. Therefor, Blizzard is using work and ideas from Blizzard North to create Diablo III.
You can't write a research paper and not cite the authors of quotes you use!
As an example, I am sure that there will be many things in Diablo III that were in Diablo II, like item names and spells, which were created for Diablo/II by Blizzard North. I say, credit worthy.
I'll tell you again. Game idea does not matter as much as who developed it does. In the gaming world, idea givers are ignored. Only developers are mentioned. You remember Marvel being mentioned in the Turok credits or anything? I don't.

But you do see Marvel at the beginning of games like Spiderman or DC at the beginning of a batman game. And more people watch the opening cinematic more then the credits I would think.

Besides LATIN, there is DEMOCRACY
Alright, the Romans did not invent Democracy but they did embrace it on a large scale and a large period of time.
Now relating back to Blizzard North: Blizzard North developed the game widely for those afterwards to build on, though unintentionally
The source is called common sense.
