Taking another look at these orbs, I'm wondering how these look when they're not completely full. Since they're all fully filled orbs, it looks exciting for the murky liquids to be spiraling and rotating.. But what happens when the orb isn't completely filled? If it's the same animation with the top cut off, that'd be disappointing(and odd looking). Then again, these orbs are supposed to go up and down quite often, so this would also probably be by far the simplest way to animate the orb liquids..
Any thoughts?
I think the barb's will have a "boiling" effect when not full, the monk's looks like it has a smokey effect going on, I imagine the DH's will have a ripple of some kind, i wouldn't be surprised if the light/energy bits of the wiz's kept moving around even without the liquid in the area (almost like sparks coming off the surface), not sure what they'd do for mana, maybe a bigger/slower wave/ripple effect? perhaps it will have a concave/convex bend depending if mana is being spent or filling up?
I think it would be cool for the orbs to all have active physics inside, but that might be a little much. -
Aug 30, 2011bigtpsychoboy posted a message on Character Resource PageI think they all look fantastic, but there is something about the DH orb that just isn't as appealing as the others. Maybe if I saw it in game I would feel different, but for right now it's my least favorite. I think the hatred side should have demon faces screaming every so often. If you've seen the giant wall of smoke chasing you in the FEAR 3 game mode "Fucking Run" then that's the kind of look I would want to go for but only on a smaller scale.Posted in: News

Sep 14, 2009bigtpsychoboy posted a message on Blizzard's Next MMO Will Have "Broader Appeal".Hmm one can only speculate what they mean by "broad appeal." My initial reactions are of a game for the more casual player. I'm probably wrong, but broad appeal to me means a non subscription based MMO. A lot of MMOs these days are going more toward the model of free to play, but you pay for extra features. Also this could tie in to the whole new battle.net system. I can only assume that this new high and mighty battle.net won't just be used for SC2 and D3. If the new MMO were to be on battle.net 2.0 this would support the whole free to play ideal. Only time will tell though.Posted in: News

Arthas Menethil, Crown Prince of Lordaeron and Knight of the Silver Hand, was the son of King Terenas Menethil II and heir to the throne. He was trained as a Paladin by Uther the Lightbringer, and had a romantic relationship with the sorceress Jaina Proudmoore. But despite his promising beginning, Arthas became one of the most powerful and evil beings Azeroth would ever experience when he merged with the Lich King.
He is the main antagonist of the newest WoW x-pac. Wrath of the Lich King.

I am really happy for the Diablo 3 team. I feel they are doing a terrific job with the game despite the petition for an artistic direction change and the flak they’ve been receiving from upset fans.
PvP: As far as PvP goes I would like to see more of a reward than bragging rights and an ear. There should be some sort of PvP ladder in my opinion and the person or even the top 5% get a unique reward for the most duels won. I know this seems similar to WoW in a sense but I want to see more done with PvP in D3
Trading: Trading in Diablo II is pretty much a bartering system since gold was pretty much worthless in end game. I would love to see gold play a bigger role Diablo 3. I know that Bashiok has said some things about how they’re trying to make gold more useful but nothing is set in stone. As for items I would love them to keep them non character bound but I can see situations where some items should be soulbound. We’ll just have to see.
Comments: I really love the new health orb system. From what I have seen and what I understand it’s going to make combat more sustainable without having to go back to town every time you run out of pots. I haven’t seen anything about manna (or is it energy in D3). Anyway I am sure they will do a fantastic job with it so I am not worried.
P.S. Hopefully with Battle.net 2.0 there will be able to be more moderation and monitoring of hacks and duping. Lastly, I can’t wait for Diablo 3 to come out. -

Knowing blizzard they would say something like "At this time we have no plans to announce a new game but it is always a possibility for the future" - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I'm not sure how serious your response was, but I use the AH all the time. I sell and buy items constantly. It's a great way to make gold or to fill in the gaps in gear. In fact the AH is way more cost effective at filling the gaps in your gear than the blacksmith is.

I play a witch doctor. As far as I can tell, like you said, int is used for gaining damage and resistances. I always try to take int over +dmg because the resistances will come in handy, but sometimes those straight +dmg items are too good to pass up. So in my opinion stacking int is better than stacking +dmg. Vitality is also good

I was curious if anyone on here is participating in the The Secret War. What it is, is a Facebook tie in with The Secret World where you can earn in game items and buffs.
In order to earn points you have to share propaganda and have other people click on them.
Please join using the following link: http://secretwar.thesecretworld.com/en_US/share/mission/recruit/306930
I plan on updating this post with my propaganda in hopes that people will click on my links, and I will click on other links in the thread as well.

I have used release day shipping before. Most recently it was for Mass Effect 3. My copy didn't show up until around 5pm on release day. Rarely do you ever receive the game the day before, but it is not unheard of. I just know that in my own personal experience my games usually come late afternoon on the actual release day. I hope this helps.
