Maybe not, but it's not just color change, just look at the first page. They are complaining over a statue. Is this what should really be focused on right now?

i think that only darkness is boring and hey, all you people forget that if this is a true sequel, then it will 99% be dark finished product. now take these forums and shove before blizz cancels d3
Sure, I think the graphics could still use some improvement, but I actually like the direction they're going in and what they've done so far. I'm SURE they'll make some retouching and visual enhancements as the development progresses, so I'm definitely not worried about the graphics as much as some people are in here.
Its not inspired by WoW, you have no knowledge of the things your talking about. Really you can't possibly have any understanding of art design philosophy. I'm just saying that your point is very anti-WoW, thats fine, I don't care. It is very Diablo, it carries all the asthetics but you are looking at the fact that the Tristam was a dark wooded area, did you ever get past the first act?
It keeps all the aesthetics? It doesn't copy from WoW / Warcraft? .....
And you're accusing him of having no knowledge of what he's talking about?
Maybe it's *you* who should play Diablo 1/2 again, if you ever did to begin with. And take some art classes.
Colorful is good, colorless is bad(I'm sure there is a happy medium), I think they could possibly alter some of the colors tint(just make em a little darker) and also just add more shadows. I liked the picture change of the screenshot on the bridge where it is raining(outdoors), but most of the changes look so monotone and boring. I AM NOT A WoW FAN.

If you fear change and innovation, SIGN THAT PETITION. How about we word it that way. You'd rather make them scrap 3-4 years work of graphics that look fine so that say: "Yay, screw those WoW fanboys, this is diablo"!?
It's not innovative if it's been done before. This "innovative" design has been tried and tested in Warcraft already. How is innovation good in this case, anyways? I don't see you would desire innovation in this series anyways, as when a game is already designed to your satisfaction change of such a large magnitude is bound only to screw things up.
Why would you desire change in a series you already know and enjoy? There's no reason. The art in earlier Diablo games was great, and a huge part of the game. Don't be a fanboy.
i think everyone would be much happier if Diablo ripped off something like Warhammer, which in my opinion looks like garbage. The game looks fine the way it is, and thats taking into consideration the fact its still under development. People should spend less time criticizing the game and just be glad they decided to make a Diablo 3 at all. Come release day you will all buy it and love it. So theres really nothing to argue about.
If you want the game to be all about the graphics thats fine, but im more concerned about content and playability. And from the 1% of the game we have all seen so far it looks to me that they are doing a damn good job.

Fireb0rn, that's a good point. The most improvement and innovation should be done in the areas of the Diablo games that *DIDNT* work, not the areas that already worked VERY WELL. Sakurai made the same mistake when going from SSBB to SSBM ( Super Smash Bros ). Brawl failed miserably because the successful elements were changed drastically. It seems to be a plague amongst modern game designers.
why does everyone want to play this game when its night time 24/7 and is always raining.
Agreed. Also, in the gamespot interview, the developer said that the previous diablo games were gothic, but not colorful, and they wanted to try to keep the gothic feel while adding color. He also said they wanted to use dark as an emotion rather than color or art choice.
ALSO: He says it took a long time to get to where they are now because they changed the art direction at least 3 times. Why do you guys complain so much? If this becomes like starcraft: ghost, im personally going to kill every one of you who signed that petition.

I don't if it has ever occured to you, but this forum is suppose to be about DAIBLO 3, and in that forum it is acceptable to give critiscm on HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER, meaning that people can VOICE THEIR OPINIONS. I have absolutle no idea whatsoever of why you people with so much ignorance keep on putting the ones down WHO ACTUALLY HAVE AN IDEA in this forum
If you like Warcraft so much go play WoW. I hear there's a new expansion coming out! We want Diablo, so let us argue for it.
Listen to yourself. You judge the game entirely on the color saturation. Everything about the game is Diablo except a bit of lighting, but that makes it not Diablo. Honestly, if you don't want Diablo to change, go play the old ones. Why make D3 if it's going to be identical to the previous games?

seriously, find a new argument.
