That's all fine and good, but at the end of the day I play single player, and don't care who did what to be number one (what I mean is it's a rotten deal to anyone and especially those who would have been happy with a single player offline version of this game, if fun features like conduit pylons(probably the funnest pylon to get) are tampered with because of a multi-player feature, like leader boards).
Maybe I'm just being pissy because I have a lot of schoolwork to do and don't want to do it. Okay, back to trying to figure out this lab assignment.

Jun 19, 2012jwest posted a message on Patch 1.0.3 Official Patch Notes"with the nerf to ias and nether tentacles, i honestly don't think my demon hunter is going to be worth playing anymore. GG blizz, were less than two months in and you have already killed my favorite class for me."Posted in: News
This.
I leveled my barbarian to 60, hit a brick wall act 2 inferno; so I leveled my dh to 60 and with 80 hours less time played passed up my barb(I did a lot of warden/butcher runs in my bart so have 120ish hours played).
DH is fun, you actually kill stuff, but hopefully all these nerfs don't kill the fun of playing a dh in inferno; plus no items from destructibles/no mf bonus is dumb; as stated before Diablo is about getting items from anywhere. -
Jun 6, 2012jwest posted a message on Patch 1.0.3 Preview"Now, you'll die a lot because stuff one shots you, regardless of gear. It's ok though, because you can just run back and keep chipping away at their HP, dying 4-5 times in the process."Posted in: News
In my experience, 2 out of 3, if I die, and the boss or champions are not really close to the resurrect area, and I have a resurrect timer of over 3 seconds, I get to the baddie, and their life is completely healed! This has happened to me quite a bit, right now I'm in act 1 inferno, and if I get a very difficult mob, at times it gets so frustrating because I go back and they are at full health again, even if I was very close to killing them.
I don't know if this happens only with certain modifiers or attributes a boss has, like extra health, or extra fast, but it at times can be very frustrating, and my only hope at times becomes wotb, with insanity, and trying to kill before being killed.
But then again other times their health stays the same and you can just go and finish them off..... -

Sep 30, 2009jwest posted a message on What Do YOU Want To Know About Diablo 3?Will you be able to transfer items easily between single-player characters or will we need to rely on outside sources or programs like we do for Diablo 2? (can stick with the first half of the question).Posted in: News
Similarly, "Will single-player be given all the features and content that is practical to have in both that Multi-player will be given, or will single-players be left out of exclusive features and content like we are in D2?
Will there be any new weapon types?(excluding guns of course).
Will the only difference between difficulties be item drops and difficulty of play, or will there be more differences so that it feels less monotonous to play all 3 difficulties?
Will there possibly be different or added content in each difficulty, or at least different random adventures than the last difficulties?
Once the story line is complete, what is planned to encourage re-playability? Will we end up doing countless boss runs, or will there be an option b, or even c? -
Aug 29, 2009jwest posted a message on Bashiok on the Witch Doctor's "Zombie Dogs"Posted in: NewsQuote from "ansl" »Agreeing with the dumbing down of the idea(Sfjake,Credge,Seth etc.).
Aswell as Bashioks explanation about "when to use what enchant on the dog" <- fire resistance mob, use locust. Poison resistance mob, use fire. A way to fix the accidental enchanting of a zombie dog is simply to make the first one irreversable. Geez, how hard can it be.
True that would work too. Just have the first enchantment stick for the duration of the summons life. If you really wanted to change poison to fire or fire to poison, sacrifice it to kill some guys, then summon a new one. -
Aug 29, 2009jwest posted a message on Bashiok on the Witch Doctor's "Zombie Dogs"Out of what I've seen of the game we only have seen mongrels(don't really like zombie dog). We haven't been shown any of the other ones yet.Posted in: News
Some cool ideas on this thread. If they haven't been posted on b.net maybe they should be posted. -
Aug 29, 2009jwest posted a message on Bashiok on the Witch Doctor's "Zombie Dogs"Posted in: NewsTo control accidental switches why not make it so when you want to enchant them you have to press a key and use the attack at the same time?
May be a little cumbersome, but would get rid of the accidental enchant issue.

Mar 19, 2009jwest posted a message on New Battle.net Has ArrivedPosted in: NewsQuote from "HEET1330" »I'm with you jwest88 , not all excited about starcraft even though i owned the first one but it is progress and that is what we are after. I read starcraftwire that there are changes to the beta sign up webpages as well. They have been moved from blizzard to WOW and they think they did this because they do not want the meltdown like they had with ticket sales for blizzcon 08. WOW servers can handle it. SO hopefully within a month or so starcraft2 beta will be out and moving us closer to D3
Thanks for the info; I don't know much about SC2 progress because I haven't been following it(but all I know is there's a lot of blues on the forums), I hope as well that the beta for SC2 starts soon.
It makes sense to move the beta sign up to WoW if the servers can handle more. Hopefully this means that Blizzard wants more people to test the beta so they can get feedback from more people and more quickly. -

This is actually a good sign, the new battle.net will be launching with SCII and if it is not done then SCII cannot launch. I could care less about SCII, but it has to come out before D3 does.
This is a sign that they are making progress. -

Oct 10, 2008jwest posted a message on New Class Announced: The WizardAWESOME!! Thanks for the updates! Watched the new trailer, it looks amazing, skills are great, there are very diverse enemies, skeleton King is awesome, it's all great. I wan't more, I hope there's another game play trailer released, this one seems too short, or I should say they all are, but this one in particular. I can't complain about the new character, looks awesome to me, and who cares if it is called wizard, you get to name your character, doesn't matter what the title is very much.Posted in: News

As of now if you search for a specific unique it doesn't let you choose stats, thus the pages of andariels visage with +strength when a dh wants dexterity. (not that level 60 uniques are affordable anyway, but still).

That's not how I played D2, I actually got set items and uniques, and it was awesome. They weren't all good, not good for my character, but it was cool. Now I do a lot of act one warden/butcher inferno runs and every once and a while get a useful rare. So I can see the op's point, (my view point is probably different though seeing as I exclusively played single player). But alas, I am going to play some more, probably do some more runs right now, I just wish I was throne a bone that wasn't so old and boring looking more often.

Okay, ,may not be the perfect build, or what I may even play first, but just something I came up with.
The build is for survivability, speed(quick attacks).
It seems like it would be fun to me because I liked frenzy in D2, just because it made you go so fast, and how you could use frenzy then another attack and keep the speed bonus for your other attack as well.

Dragonnica is pretty fun, you may want to check that out too. If you like MS style, wonderking is similar somewhat and leveling is not as slow. Out of those two I preferred Dragonnica.
