I don't play it personally but I certainly wouldn't want it removed. I know lots of people love it.
Agreed 100%. No reason to remove it. Yes it can be a frustrating ruleset of the game but at the same time, Blizzard gives ample warning about how lag, latency or any factors can lead to your character's death. I wouldn't do it but those who want to should be able to.
hardcore was the most fun i've ever had playing an rpg talk about and list some of the things you enjoyed in hardcore
The "oh shit" feeling you got when you almost died
Finding a good item while playing and have it truly show its worth
The fact that every item with decent stat got used to its full potential because there werent people with 99 characters everywhere mfing tons of things and even giving out epic quality items for free.

Yeah, haha it was fun, but when I remember all the frustrations I had when I would have lost a level 50 or 60 character Iit made me want to break the keyboard and throw my monitor out the window
Hardcore mode is definetly a keeper.

lol it can still easily be a ranger since who said you cant shoot arrows at melee distance xD

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees
Surviving Duriel for the first time in Hardcore in multiplayer (load times with bosses being able to act during them for the lose) is definitely the most memorable hardcore experience for me. Of course, right after beating him, my pally got owned by the flesh crawler things the Dark Wanderer spawns just outside the Act III town.
Yea i had played softcore for a while before discovering hardcore then once i played that for a few months i could never go back to softcore even when you got really pissed after a character you worked on for a while died it just made me go quicker to the character screen to start a new one. i loved all the random dangers people created with TPPK's and even the anti-pk pk movement was hillarious
Yes, yes, oh god yes.
I'll probably play through once on normal ladder, then go hardcore exclusive. I've played nothing but hardcore D2 for years. It's just so much more of an adrenaline rush.

I wouldn't call it pointless. It's a reminder that there are many people out there that want HC in d3. That it should not be something they just add... but something they improve upon.
(EDIT: IGN is stupid- Blizzard stated that Hardcore will "probably" be in the game.)
Greetings! Please read the entire post before making your vote.

"3:15 -- Hardcore mode may or may not be included in the game."
This is something that I feel NEEDS to be in the game. If a player is warned that if they DIE, they DIE... without being able to complain about LAG, or whatever else could have killed them... this should be an option. It will get more people to buy the game... and more people to CONTINUE playing the game.
Do you believe hardcore mode should be included? (even if you wouldn't play hardcore)
Blizzard needs to know what we want. This is how.
Thanks!
One of the main reasons i've been looking forward to this game is because of the HC mode, without it this game will lose its lasting appeal for me at least.
I don't know why anyone would think Blizzard would even think to take this out. It was a very popular mode and many players loved the challenge. They have no reason to not include this mode.
i did say that its a final blow 4 low life chars too, and hardcore would be more challenging.. hope more bosses have similar "fataly" so dont drink.. Eat rejuvs

I believe they've said that it's a consideration, but they haven't decided one way or another.
