Which character would you predict to have the most trouble solo'ing inferno?
Assuming completely equal gear and skill.
Imo, it's clearly the DH who lacks passive dmg reduction and reliable CC.
Demon Hunter, you are the weakest link....Goodbye!

None of them, I can think of working tactics for all. I think DH will fall in line with Wizard and Barbarian while WD's and and Monks will be the easymode classes.
I am thinking melee are going to have trouble, based on the damage reduction they can get and the damage output inferno creatures can deal . Ranged classes may have the advantage to attack from a far and keep distance through clones, wolves, gargantuan etc... like above statement I could be wrong

You are completely contradicting yourself.
You said "none of them", and then said "I think DH will fall in line with Wizard and Barbarian while WD's and and Monks will be the easymode classes."
If you declare that 2 will be easy mode, then you are obviously predicting the other 3 will have more trouble solo'ing inferno.

One is never hurt by being given additional choices, only by taking them away. A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!
Gonna think this a bit more. It's been something that I have been thinking about for some time but didn't yet reach a conclusion. I know everything this point would still be a mere prediction but I still want to think it over carefully.
oh, and I'll bite
PS: Please don't get my thread locked with trolling and flaming.
then don't troll/flame? it's always someone else's fault isn't it?

No, it just means that WD's and Monks will be more foolproof. Easier to get started with. For instance a monk or WD may be able to do it with relatively crappy gear, while once a barbarian gets himself some half decent gear he will be just as good as them or better at it. Same goes for DH and Wizard which may turn out to be the fastest classes soloing inferno.

really? I think DH will be one of the best characters for soloing...
didnt someone form Blizz state that the barb was having the most trouble surviving inferno? i seem to recall something like that.
yah they did, but that was before they announced the flat 30% dmg reduction for melee toons.

Keep making more threads, I don't think anyone noticed the anti-DH campaign you've been conducting on the forums.
If you want passive damage reduction may I sugest a Barb or Monk? Leave the DH for those who know how to play it
Currently leaning toward monk. I first considered what kind of survival skills each class has available since one thing I think is safe to presume and everyone can agree on is that the damage will be intense. But then remembered how Blizz mentioned that although there will be an 'optimal build' other builds will also be 'viable'.
Which means a build without the best of a character's survival would still work which in turn means that the damage at least isn't 'take all your survival tools or be insta-pwned' intensive.
So then I switched my approach.
As it is already mentioned here, Barb was found to have the hardest time surviving and a 30% damage reduction was implemented for melee.
One thing before going on would be that while figuring out which class would have the hardest time clearing inferno, we would have to assume the player with 'equal gear and skill' is skilled enough to beat inferno since all of this would mean nothing if we're talking about a player who can't beat inferno anyway.
So we got 3 ranged characters. While they all do have some sort of survival skill and even damage reduction skills, the basic concept of avoiding getting hit as much as possible still stands. Which means that survival for ranged is centered around the player's skills to not get hit as much as possible. So since it has been given in the previous paragraph that our player is 'skilled', that player will be able to utilize each ranged character's ability to not get hit [which I currently believe is in a close tie with each other] and also dps to it's full potential.
Melee on the other hand still needs to get up and personal with them monsters. They got this 30% damage reduction buff but I still don't think it would be enough to close the gap of a 'skilled' player's kiting skills [yes I know this is just predictions but that's what this thread is about]. Now, while the monk relies on more situational elements for survival [dodge rng, cooldown skills, situational heals etc] barbarian relies more on constant elements like defense. And this is where I see the 30% damage reduction giving a higher advantage to the barbarian since it's basically stacking the same type of survival method while for the monk still needs to rely on his situational survival while the 30% damage reduction just dampens the result of 'failure' [of the defense mechanics]
All in all I see monk having the most difficulty in performing the basic 'kill shit' and 'without getting killed' at the same time.
buuut I'm still haven't decided for sure yet so not voting yet.
Just because a pet class like the WD can let his pets do the tanking and kill shit early. Doesn't mean a class like the barbarian or WH is going to be any worse at doing it. Just means they need to gear up before beeing good at it.
It's just like any other game, like a hunter in WoW can let his pet tank while he himself does not take damage. Or a Warlock can run around and throw DOTs all day long. They may be able to solo stuff early but that doesn't mean they solo better the other classes once theyre both max level in equal gear.

huh?! Despite likely being the weakest in inferno, I will probably still choose DH as 1st main.
I am not anti-DH in the slightest.
Monk and Barb would be my least favorite.

Obviously I am talking about early in the game when inferno is still new.
Months or years down the road when everyone has the best gear, then it won't be a challenge for anyone.

WD pets = instant dead
wizard get hit twice = dead
monk = easymode because of heal
