I have view tracking added =D so now if you have your sig linking back to diablobuilds, and someone clicks it, itll track it as a view!
Goal is tomorrow to get Basic class searching, followed by working on the view page (show the build descriptions) as well as get a basic comment system working...
Then ... I was NOT going to do a user system.. I wanted fast, easy, fun... but .. I want to add the ability to UP or DOWN rank a build... thus would need some sort of member system -shrugs- anyway up to 144 unique builds!
hopefully this helps revive a bit of theorycrafting :D. seems like a good amount of people are using it. woot!
need to mainstream this on the front page as its own article ASAP!
TO MANY PEOPLE haha =P
seems like lots of people are picking it up which is grand.. I just hope my bandwidth holds.. I spent out of pocket to get a good host... I don't want to put up ads though..so I hope it holds
I might do something like that.. but not till its more done. ( put it up on the front page thAt is)
I want to get the "view" page to at least show peoples descriptions by tonight ( and it's views)
I also want to get the basic class search done by tonight or tomorrow
Six skills and five runestones...it's going to be tricky to get the "perfect" build since we'll need at least two top rank runestones of the same kind (not to mention one each for every other type).
Soon as I get user systems working, once you make an account it will scan for all the sigs you have made, and at that time you will be able to edit them. Almost done with the comment system.

now this just be may opinion but i really think you should make it so if zero editing is done to a build it should be removed or moved to the very back of the search results because A LOT of builds were just made to post somewhere real quick or make a point or something because if you truly cared about your build and wanted to share it you would of at least named it or a description or user name or SOMETHING. you know? so in the search results its just tons of random "generic user generic build" with no flavor, i think it would bring more personality to the site if every build showed had a descrip or at least title

its already like that =)
Its currently sorted by Views, and then by Username (and soon as ranking up and down is in, by that first)
so if the user is (Generic User) It goes to the very very back of the list (which is why I went back and added the "(" to all the usernames) If you see a generic user up top, thats because it has more views than other builds.
I think once I get the up and down rank in, itll be a lot nicer. Plus user will be able to claim the "(Generic build) and edit them as well.
But yeah, I didnt want them to be up top either.
On top of all that, the basic list still isnt fully working, it only shows one page, with no way to change the page atm (though you can just change the page in the url)

Ive always wanted to do signatures.. and then someone (or did I post it?) anyway, someone said about "looking at them all" and then diablobuils came to mind...I had no idea or desire to make a site like this until about 4-5 days ago =P
Web programming is something I just do for fun/hobby
