If you are talking about survivability then what you have is great. If you are talking about efficiency then doing anything at MP10 is a waste of time unless you are dead set on getting those 100% key drops.
But I bet in the time it takes you to stack NV to 5 and then find and kill a keywarden you could get your dmg back up and blast through MP6 and you will yield more keys then doing MP10 runs for the time spent.
Even considering doing ubers at MP10 with such low DPS isn't feasable, sure you might be able to stand in Gohms clouds and your pets wont die but none of it matter if you are hitting them like a wet noodle.
TL;DR Survivability means shit without the dmg to back it up.
At the start of the 1.0.5 i was running with 3100 life regen. But i exchanged it for 3% LS and higher resists after upping my dps. And it's much more effective now.
The reason why reflect is not giving you problems is simple: low dps.
Not just base dps, but also build. You can spec it to provoke pack + pvt, gruesome feast, hit 300k dps buffed and then hit reflect pack with bears, watch how 3000 life regen per second is doing absolutely nothing because you die in 1 second (about enough time to replenish 3000 life and lose your entire health pool to massive reflected crits).
Note that to survive reflect with rain of toads, you need moderate loh, defensive stats and just tough minions to keep elites from moving around too much so you can actually hit them with spell. The whole problem here is how to survive reflect when you use your best attack: zombie bears.
I agree though that replenish life + fierce loyalty is the way to make summons invicible at mp10, which is really tricky without that passive and life regen.
Hey there and thanks for the constructive comment :)..
Even tho I agree with some of the stuff you said, saying that 130k DPS is low is not a true fact, even tho like you said getting more is way possible.
What people misunderstand in Diablo 3 is that not everything is DMG.
Damage is measured by how much sustained DPS you can make in certain period of time, not by the number shown under your character profile.
I can probably make more damage with 130k DPS then you with 300k, simply because I can stand and rain on anything that moves or stand still since I can take as many hits as I want, just because I m constantly full, same as my pets. Also keep in mind that I can stuck elites anywhere I want (stairs, doors, hallways etc) which give me a huge advantage and I can simply stand behind the wall and use rain of toads. As you probably know, rain of toads is the only skill that can bypass obstacles, which makes elites with walls and mortar completely useless.
All in all, try the build out, you will love it. I'd rather have 130 - 180k DPS and do stuff completely relaxed then beg Gods not to see any reflect damage :)))...
Interesting. It would cost an enormous amount to regear to life regen though. With most people considering doing >MP5 already at gear values approaching or in excess of 1 Billion gold, I don't think I see myself trying it. I'm glad its working though, more diversity = better for our class.
As a side note, I see you use pierce the veil. At no point in my characters progression past 60 has it given me anywhere near the dps gain (not to mention all resist) that Gruesome feast does. Have you tried to see what the dps difference is for you?
Hey all and once again thanks for constructive comments. I ll try to answer each comment / question.
*So basically why I like this build ?
Like some of you said, plague of toads has a bit low damage but on the other hand, let me explain how it works.
When you pets are pretty much invincible (except when standing in desecration), plague of toads is really handy. First off, you will ignore any mortar, walls, lasers etc cause simply you can stand behind some wall and spam the elite group without even seeing them.
Even tho this is not too fun (standing behind the wall holding one key), it's efficient. You probably know how annoying it is to constantly get spammed by walls, mortars etc.
Also, keep in mind that plague of toads is AOE skill which makes all the elites that stick to each other get damaged at once. Spinters, firebomb etc are awesome but keep in mind that spinters are single target skill while firebomb split damage on each target so when compared to plague of toads it really is very very similar.
*Down-side of the build
Only down side I noticed (if it can be call down side) is with the mobs which are moving too much like shamans, those fat big elites etc. It's not a big problem really since most of the time they get stuck into some corner by your pets and you simply own em.
Also, this build will make you vary a lot with your skills since you won't be able to spam bears as you would want to. Bears for me are only short burst damage, used to own non-elite mobs (which works awesome) but when it comes to elites it's not a main skill, even tho it's one of the most important.
Also, one of the down sides of this build is group play. When you play with your friends, this build is not too efficient since in party you are suppose to offer as max damage output as possible and your pets are simply useless there since most of the time you have some barbarian or monk in your party, so I wouldn't recommend this build for party play.
*Reflect damage
When it comes to reflect damage, it can be a problem when it comes to bears but why are we forcing bears so much ? I can see people opening threads with "HOW to kill elite mobs with such high damage output" and my answer is, simply don't.
Reflect damage or any other problem it game has to be dealt in a proper way and if it doesn't work the way you want it, simply change it. Plague of toads with 130K dps are owning those groups, killing them fast while I m staying with full HP including my pets as well.
YouTube Video
Since am at university now, I ll record a video for you guys to see how this build works for me, so expect a video today.
We're using bears because with your rain of toads you'll be killing elite pack for hours on high MP. And we don't need anything special survival-oriented to run god mode on low-level MP
@Grabbler - Rather then trolling the forums, try to read the post first. I've been doing MP10 probably before you entered MP2, so take my suggestion and try to be constructive or rather don't post. If you need hours to kill something then you are probably playing the game completely wrong.
If you have amazing gear and want to play relaxed then this build is for you; however if you like to kill things MUCH quicker but have the risk of dying more frequently then that's your choice.
This build is not viable with bad gear it would take too long to kill anything.

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.

Well said,
Also, too many people are really horrible in Diablo 3, mostly copying builds from google, copying others and sadly not trying anything by them selves. I've tested pretty much every build except sacrifice build (will do that too when I get the gear with CD on summon zombie dogs) and by far this is one of the most fun builds I've played.
I will upload a video tonight (my upload is really bad) when I go to sleep so it should be on YouTube in the morning. I had luck to get 7/8 reflect damage groups in a row so you will see how it works and how fast or slow it is for you.

Come on you need ahours to kill anything with toads... Even with 200k dps it takes ages its not a good build for itemfarming or XP.
I do mp 5-6 alkaizers in 15mins right now, I m trying to gear for mp 7-10 allkaizer 15min runs. Toads can NEVER do that.
If you're going for efficiency XP/Items, you probably shouldn't be farming MP5-6 let alone 7-10. RoT/Acid Rain and the like work like a champ on lower MP which is what's most efficient to farm at the moment anyway.
Even barbs that are chewing through things very fast with Sprint have found MP1 to be far more efficient. Yes you can kill things fast at MP4 -- so can I -- but not nearly as fast as you can at MP1. The bonus xp/mf don't scale enough -- this argument has pretty much been driven to death.
In fairness, I play predominantly at MP4-5 anyway -- knowing it's less efficient -- mainly because it keeps me more engaged and repetitive runs at MP1 would make me quit in short order.
Mathematics makes this highly unlikely. That said, it's Friday night and I'd much rather spend my time playing the game than on the forums arguing about the mechanics of it . . . so we'll just agree to disagree on this one. Kind of a diversion from original thread purpose anyway.
So, in your example you're taking 100% longer to kill a pack and for your trouble you get about 19% more magic find (assuming you are capped). You don't see the problem here?
There are plenty of threads, videos, etc. that show the benefits of running at lower MP levels and why the xp/mf gain just doesn't scale to match the extra time taken. Search them out . . .or don't. At the end of the day, play how you enjoy.
Yeah, I saw the vid and it's good stuff. So, when you say you have 3x better gear, I take this to mean you have 450k character-sheet scoundrel-buffed only DPS? And that you are doing better than 65 mill xp per hour on MP4? And that, because you find it funny that people don't post videos, that you have one? Let me guess . . . No? No? and No?
I''m only at 130k DPS with soul harvest since I dropped some DPS for some other stats like str/dex and HP regen.
My gear is not finished yet but even tho, I m farming MP 10 without dying or without having my pets killed ( they are always at full HP).
Reflect is not a problem as well, doesn't touch me at all, it's simply amazing.
Depends of the passives I use in certain moments, my HP regen without passive is around 2500, 2800 per second with passive.
Try it out and try to copy a bit of my gear, it's not too expensive.
