This, and even more of that ^
This would only be a gift package to the botters, just perfect for switching between bot and play mode.
This, and even more of that ^
The biggest ingame problem : Cheaters, exploiters or TurboHUD (or similar) users.
The biggest design problem : Soloplayer vs Multiplayer

Id like to try something LoN Combust shield + LoN Darts, with some primary help with pulls (support EP whatever) monk and barb.
Both specs as DPS pulls pretty big numbers without any resource management, and both gets boosted significantly by just getting loads pulled for them.

Weekly ban waves whole season would do the trick
Just Blizzard have to take actions against not only the botter, but against all the different flavors of cheater.

"Enjoying real life" = Letting a computer play a game you dont enjoy anymore, then go troll fan forums of that game...
None takes a cheater personal or serious, its just internet is so full of miserable souls trying to spread their misery.

Wizards in D3 is looking alot like death knights in WoW, a rollercoaster ride where strong specs gets nerfed to the ground.

Either a person plays the online multiplayer game as intended, or he cheats in it with any cheat application.
People who try to defend cheating for personal enjoyment is just making a fool of themself regardless of its cheat program X, Y and/or Z they use.

It's just beyond silly, rude and show total lack of social skills to remark other random peoples spec or character.
Compare it with commenting other random peoples choices at work or at the grocery store, wether it be their hairstyle or clothes.
Just let others enjoy whatever they do.

Yea, fixing globes is just partially nitpicking at the meta problem.
People should be concerned about what class themself play, not what the rest of the group plays (only that they pull their weight).
The MMO mentality with different roles is just blurring the issue, which is only lack of balance (that cause the meta problem)

Blizzard got this software called warden, which detects cheaters and flags their accounts accordingly.
This is in place, and has been for a long time.
Now what Blizzard choose to do with them is another thing, just making them not appear on leaderboards would be the soft punishment, getting D3 account banned the most likely, but banning their b.net account would be the best long term solution by far.
Bots arent hard to spot, just join a public game outside normal game hours and ask "who here is not a bot?" and see if u get any answer.
I usually see several every night I join some public rift games, drop some legs they cant pickup on ground to see how they behave erratically.

I totally agree with Bagstone. Augments and Gem leveling are in a very good place.
Just fishing or trying to push high GRs by itself isnt that rewarding in the end (due to the speedy gearing process),
so its definetly nice with this additional purpose added to the endgame GR farming.

When no action is taken against the cheaters over seasons, more and more real players (humans playing the game and not using any of the cheats) either just quit the game, or start to cheat themself. In both scenarios we end up with less legit players.
This is by far the most discouraging thing in the whole "end-game", closely followed by the meta-problem.
The issue some have with paragon levels, is just there due to the fact that botting is rampant.

Completed gr77 solo with a combust shield spec much similar to the one linked above .
Just had more defensive gear than linked (aquila, archew and a high TN belt) due to missing well rolled firepieces.

There is nothing wrong with having both insta gratfication rewards, and long term rewards in the same game.
The Blizzard trademark, stands for quality games with way longer lifespan than any other similar games.
The biggest chunk of casual players is not what they design anything for, they just play their limited time anyway.
Set dungeons, Conquests & Achievements, Leaderboards, Wings, Journey, Augments and so on is all for those few who actually plays the game "alot".

For anyone who wants to "compete", wether it is for the last or the first spot of the Leaderboards, cheates are a problem. The biggest problem of them all to be exact. How realistic it is to get rid of the cheaters, or just have a "Punkbuster/Warden" active to maintain a cheat free environment is up to Blizzard.
Saying that botting is not a problem, and Leaderboards dont matter is just trolling.
