I know this is now an old thread, but I only just got an opportunity to read some of the comments since my last post.

I think that some people are really missing the point entirely. I understand that you can reroll your socket back to some other stat IF YOU HAD ORIGINALLY REROLLED INTO A SOCKET, i think that is quite obvious, but what IF I ALREADY HAD A SOCKET AND REROLLED ANOTHER STAT? HOW WILL I USE RG NOW?

It is not about getting having to grind for new content, this is old content that they are making redundant by replacing with the same content? That doesnt make sense to me because I already have that weapon but now am effectively being punished for having received a weapon with a natural socket. If you are still coming in here arguing about how I might as well ask blizzard to give me everything I want, you are clearly not understanding my argument.

Bottomline is that Blizzard has implemented an item that all things being equal, is not able to enjoyed by all weapons in the game pre 2.1, which is an unfair advantage for people that are able to use it on prepatch weapons.

    posted a message on Ramalandi's Gift: Counter-intuitive?
    Hi Guys,

Recently made a similar thread, not knowing that this was already here. It is essentially a request for an option to reset your weapon to original state.

Please have a look and post your thoughts here. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/13437143725?page=1#3

Besides that I think the following suggestions may also help with the problem of "incorrectly rerolled weapons".
    - Ramadami's gift replaces an affix of choice into a socket: This essentially allows people that are currently not able to roll sockets into getting a guaranteed socket. I believe this was the problem that Blizzard was trying to rectify with this item.

    - Ramadami's gift adds a new random new stat if there is already a socket. Now this option kind of presents the problem of being able to "double reroll" your weapon, so it may not be the best option. Perhaps they can check if the socket was natural or rerolled and replace with original rerolled stat if it was a natural socket. This essentially is giving us the option of reseting the weapon back to how it was when dropped.

    - Remove Ramadami's gift as it is an item that is not really needed, and the implementation does not seem to rational.

Ying tao you are missing what I am saying.

Yes if I rerolled some stat into a socket, that's fine. Becauseyou can rerollthe socket back to some other stat and then use Ramadami;s gift to get a socket. That's fine. BUT what ifyour weapon already had a socket? andyou rerolled another stat? I can no longer use Ramadami;s gift because it already has a socket. How is that "an option to get exactly the stats we want"? I am suggesting/asking for the option to reset theweapon back to theoriginal form when we had found it sothat everyonecanbenefit from the Ramadami's gift? I have the mats and I have the money, but weapons like Wand of Woh, SMK, Rheno Flayers, Thunderfurys are hard to come by especially with good rolls. This is by no means a way to get what ever stat I want, but only an option to allow people that were lucky enough to roll natural sockets prepatch to also benefit from this new item.

I should make the distinction that even though you reset your weapon to the original stats it was found with, the cost to enchant should stay same. So if it currently costs 5mil to enchant, it should stay 5mil to enchant for new stats.

I know that this is not blizzard website, however I do believe that Blizzard employees do monitor these forums and it is frequent that "blue posters" answer questions in the forums.

I think you are missing the point, this is not new gear that you now need to look for, but the exact same gear that you already found prepatch but now is technically inferior because they implemented a new item that now addresses the difficulty of rolling a socketin weapons. The item will therefore benefit people that have not been able to roll sockets on their weapons, but will leave a lot of people that had sockets naturally roll in their weapons out in the cold. If they make a new item that puts an extra socket in a non-socketed weapon, it should be open to all people for all their weapons prepatch and not favour some, which this would do if there is no way to reverse the existing enchantment.

A good example is getting a Wand of Woh or Starmetal Kukri with anatural socket. You have subsequently rerolled one of the stats to +10% damage. Following the patch your weapon is not as powerful and now you need to find another one because Blizzard implemented a new unneeded item? Obviously with these weapons they are extremely rare and would have taken most people significant amount of time to farm. Please let me know how this is fair.

If it was a revamp and there wereall new weapons and higher level content I would have no problem with this, but fact is that only someof the player base will benefit from this whilst some will not.

    Hi All,

I have been thinking about the introduction of Ramalandi's Gift, I think that there should be an additional item or an option to reset the enchant that has already been done on the weapon. The reason is that most people that already had weapon with a socket would have rerolled some other stat to get a better weapon, which in 2.1 would now become a bad weapon as they could have had additional stats and a socket with the introduction of Ramalandi.

What this essentially means is that half of the weapons that people have found are now useless and they will need to find another weapon with better or same rolls. If Blizzard is going to add an item that is going to get an EXTRA stat (1 socket on weapons) then there should be an option to reset the weapons we have so we can also benefit from this item on what ever weapon we want.

Keeping in mind that a lot of players would have also spend countless souls rerolling to get specific stats and they have spent countless hours to get a nicely rolled weapon, I do not see a down side to implementing this option and would be extremely unfair to people that already have a weapon that they would like to continue to use (through countless hours of grinding).

I should note that I am not asking that the option be free (although if it was it would be great) but if there putting a price on it (10mil or more) will help then so be it.

    Your comment please BLizzard.

posted a message on WD suggestion (need your support)
I am afraid I will have to disagree with SMK being the only ceremonial knife you need. I agree that it is most definitely the best Ceremonial Knife you can get, however Rheno Flayer is also very good.

I think however you are missing the main point here. To even get a SMK you need ceremonial knifes to drop. If you always get 1 handed swords and axes how are you even going to start looking for a SMK. As gambling for the weapon is no use due to the unfavourable ratio of other 1 handers to ceremonial knifes, drops should at least be tallied to the class you play.

Every please keep voting, right now it does not look like many WD players have had a vote, however it does look like some people would like to see at least one of these changes.

    Hi Fellow WD Users,

Had a suggestion that I wanted to put up and get your support on and also wanted input from a blue posterto recognise these suggestions and provide clarification on a specific matters.

First I seek clarification on why Ceremonial Knives drop so infrequently for WD. There was meant to be a "buff" not long ago to the drop rate and emphasis of classes specific items. Last I checked only WD uses Ceremonial Knives yet I am sure all WD will say that it is the 1 handed weapon that they see the least. It is common for swords, axes and 2 handed weapons to drop, but ceremonial knives are extremely rare let alone the ceremonial knife that we WD are actually looking for. Besides drops the problem is also apparent when gambling with Khadala. If someone is stupid/desperate enough to gamble 15 shards for a 1 handed weapon, as a WD I expect to see more ceremonial knives than swords and axes.

I do not know if it is just me that feels this, but I do notice a large number of WD that I play with that do not use ceremonial knives at all because they just haven't had one drop.

Second issue is the need of a fetish counter. I think the majority of WD user base will agree that it would be extremely helpful to know how many fetishes we have currently. I know that there are changes in 2.1 to increases visibility of your own pets as compared to others in a group, however this does not address the fact that sometimes we would like to know how big our army is currently. If blizzard can split it into FS and FA even better, however just a simple fetish counter that sums all kinds of fetishes would suffice and would go long way in making our armies more manageable.

So now on to my suggestions:

-Increase the drop proportion of Ceremonial Knives when a 1 hander is dropped. ie. buff the drop rate of Ceremonial Knives for WD.

    - Implement a Fetish counter that consolidates the number of fetishes from FA and FS

Fellow WD users, I ask you review my suggestions and give me your support/comments so blizzard is able to see the need for these changes. Thank you for reading my post, your time is much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Frank
