A more detailed explanation of why monster power scaling is just not going to do its job in terms of making the game more enjoyable and rewarding as well as making the players focus more on killing speed rather than movement speed:

The above post contains an excel file with a detailed calculation of how your farming efficiency scales with monster power taking a few simple parameters into account.

Of course the exact % of time running around needed to up the MP even if you aren't 1-shooting stuff can vary based on your existing MF and XP and the exact scaling, but most likely most people will spend too low of a % of their time running around if they aren't 1-shooting everything, as even 1-shooting everything you probably still spend more than 10% of your time actually attacking.Posted in: News
In the end, monster power mostly adds time it takes to kill stuff with a slight challenge of increased damage and increased chance of dying because stuff take longer to kill. In terms of rewards, monster power is a joke, as the only case you'll increase it for efficiency is if the game is already extremely boring and then you'll increase it to a level where the game is still extremely boring.
They really need to lower HP, up the damage and up the MF and XP bonuses if they want MP to be used other than just for messing around. -

Show the HP increase from MP1 would give a much better picture on how the bosses scale, since anyone who is good enough to ever touch mosnter power in inferno doesn't care about how strong stuff are relative to act 1/2 MP0 monster strengths.Posted in: News
I think the "jump" to 63 is inferno-only, everywhere else is just the "normal" scaling like what you see in Act 3 inferno, so even if you beat hell at MP10 it still doesn't mean you're strong enough for act 1 inferno MP1 or even MP0. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

MP0 actually "feels" slower because you can't keep berserker up, but when you time the total run time, it ends up slower to play on higher MP because of the extra time you spend on killing elites and high-HP normal monsters.

As I said, your helm is the only obvious keeper, and if you want a priority list then replacing gloves/shoulders/belt/boots is not nearly as high priority as replacing everything else.
I don't know how you can be lost. Check the AH for the best crit/str/vit/resist/crit dmg you can afford. Use a DPS and EHP calculator if you can't figure out how much each stat is worth.

The whole point of sprint is that it only uses main hand damage, so you want as much damage as possible on your main hand weapon with relatively minimal stats, while you get the stats (both defensive and offensive) in your offhand and other items. Not that you should ignore stats completely on main hand, but for 1h weapon damage stats are generally cheaper than LS/LoH and when you buy a high DPS weapon the price just skyrockets if you look for LS/LoH, while for a low DPS offhand you can get both on the same weapon for pretty cheap.
A 1200 DPS 150 str socket main hand would be quite better than 1000 DPS with 150 str, socket and 80% crit damage on top, and probably end up costing about the same or less. Also, keep in mind that str/socket and str/crit damage can give a lot more damage per gold spent than crit dmg/socket stat combo. Having all 3 is probably not possible within any sane budget (basically unless you have hundreds of millions to spend on your weapon, getting all 3 will not be cost effective for sure).
A 300 DPS offhand with good stats will be much better than an equally priced 800+ DPS offhand with less stats.

Of course while higher monster power let you keep WotB, it still results in less exp/hour making it pointless. I only go back to WotB with cooldown reduction when farming keys, and WotB with bloodthrist when doing ubers.
I keep rend as the 1.5.0-warcry-substitute and bash as my "oh-!@#!" fury generator in all monster powers, though.

MP4 for loot (VoA+mines+arcarnus run, skip normal monsters), though it's really only slightly more efficient (`6% more loot/hour) than MP1.
MP8 for keys, though MP7 and MP9 are almost as efficient and even MP6 isn't very far off. Though I don't really have patience to farm keys nowadays, as I find my time better spent farming loot and/or exp. Occasionally I will set up a group of friends to help some noob do ubers at MP8 so I can get more chances at a nice ring without having to farm the machines.

I think with Inna's you lose more stats compared to Lacuni if you invest the same, so I'm not sure it's a real solution. In any case, whatever amount of stats you lose is still worth it for 24% movement speed, just make sure you lose as little as possible for your budget. Also, don't forget that losing more stats on the movement speed item and using the money saved to upgrade something else is also an option to take into consideration.

Get 12% more movement speed, preferably from lacuni's.
Your chest piece is horrible, even for a few mil you can get much better (high vit, high res, sockets and maybe a bit of STR). Same goes for pants.
Don't use vit gems, only strength. Buying gear with more strength on it and less vit and then making up for it with vit gems will cost you more for the same total stats, as str is a more expensive stat on items than vit is, while str gems are basically the same price as vit gems. Buying a socketed item and socketing vit in it is basically like paying for the more expensive str but only getting the cheaper vit. It's not that hard to be efficient here.
Get a better exp gem. With a 40mil upgrade budget at least 2mil of that should go towards a better gem... Heck, you put a star gem in your ring but not in your helm? Seriously? The experience bonus is worth so much more than a few measly points of str.
Get life steal on belt, even if you don't invest any extra gold and just lose some strength on it.
Bottom line: Try be more efficient with your gold. Pay for the stuff that give you the biggest benefit for the minimum amount of gold. You'll do much better if you use that mindset when you look for upgrades.
