A lot of skills take its damage from "Weapon Damage" and I'm wondering if those + elemental damage is used or would those skill only look at the number below the DPS on the weapon ?
If the RNG on diablo 3 is truly random then it should be impossible to get two of the same items with exact stats,name,gold sell price and durability form 2 different mobs, well folks a friend of mine did.
no not really, even in truly random scenarios you can get 2 equal outcomes, even in a row at times
That only happens if the loot table is from 1 to 10, the loot in this game is billions, it may be possible to get the same item some time down the road but not that soon. Also it seems they are just reusing the random hashes.
I believe there was(is?) a bug which causes the same item to drop twice in a row from different, subsequent packs.
So when was that said bug fixed? Because the item was looted on the day I also posted it.
Ok so I grabbed the files, it open opens under protected view with Excel and shows some errors and stuff ~_~
After some fiddling around I've finally gotten almost close to my DPS screen values but the calc is still reporting higher.. by about 1k+ with dual wielding due to my off hand weapon having a 1.55 attack speed ( 1.40 base and +11% bonus.)
I have a spreadsheet that kind of does the job, you have to enter old/new item stats in separate boxes and use that to compare them. The 5 weapon compare is good, how about if I wanted to compare rings/amulets?
Hard to tell how to upgrade your weapons. Things like playstyle, personal preferences and what kind of current gearset/stats/build u r running making a huge difference.
Here is my approch for upgrading weapons:
- LoH is overrated and overprized! I dont bother with LoH at all.
- Never buy a weapon cuz there is vit on it. Get the amount of vit from the rest of your gear. Makes it way easier to replace the weapon later on.
- Think twice what u want and compare items with a dps calculator
- If your crit chance isnt that high dont bother buying a weapopn with crit dmg and open soket. The dps gain isnt that high in the end and wont be worth the crazy amount of gold.
- If u dont pay attention to the current active weapon and running a sw/cyclone build dont use a low dps statholder weapon as your offhand. In the end u will loose dmg.
Im always aiming for weapons with:
- At least 100 dex on em - I prefer +175 dex. Depending on your dex on gear those is worth up to 100 weapon dps. In my case its worth like 70 weapon dps.
- I want either +90 crit dmg or open socket on my weapons. I cant afford a weapon with crit dmg and open socket at the moment. At least one with decent dps.
- LL is nice to have but not a must have. For me its easier to deal with reflect/electrified affix combos. And its way cheaper then loh.
I have my weapons posted a page back or so, I still cannot let go of the LoH on my weapon.. cant imagine how I can survive
Till now I havent upgraded my weapons and I have something like 45m to spend on a new one, I cant really tell if the weapon price is decent or Im over paying. Can anyone help ?
Im looking for a monk gear and dps sheet comparison, the one I found only wanted to get the stat totals and has no gear compare feature like what the wizards sheet has.
