I know it's not relevant now but did anyone pick out the fact you were using an offhand that was almost 120dps lower then the mainhand? I'm fairly sure that drops your damage significantly to using an offhand with the same damage as the mainhand. Obviously if the stats are good on the offhand then it doesn't matter but just thought I'd point it out. It's mainly because of this I think shields are better as you can get a cheap one with good stats rather than having to buy two high matching damage weapons, especially for progressing players.

Is that for me ? I just looted these weapons and I use the lower DPS one for those mobs I cannot face tank. I would prefer to use DW.

Looking to trade for something similar that has dex as its primary stats instead of STR, almost must have 825LoH and 88% Critical damage ( or very close )

Currently not selling the weapon but I am willing to take offers and see if I can get another weapon at the AH.

Would there be a decent upgrade for my weapons with a 20M budget?
Try to find a weapon 780dmg+ with a socket that has 450+ ish loh on it already and throw in a crit gem. 20m should be enough.

Im pretty bad at judging what is a good weapon for the price this is probably why I stuck with these weapons since I just got them off from mobs.

If you could PM me some example weapons from AH that would be great!

posted a message on How do you deal with molten, fire chains elites?
The only issue I have with this kind of affix is when Thunderclap decides to relocate my character despite the mob being with in the melee range, my low (24k-2k LoH or 31k- 800LoH) cant really burn down these pesky mobs that fast.. I really need to upgrade my weapons but Im not quite sure how far 20M can go.

I dont see D3 as an esport candidate, mo matter how balanced it will be or even if there is a separate PVP version of the skills. It simply cannot compete with other games, say Guild Wars 2 PVP.

@EarlZO88: Without knowing your gearsets its kinda hard to give u an answer.

    Helm,Chest,Rings,Amulet,Weapons are looted stuff

For the weapons, I alternate between both fists depending if I can face tank the elite or not.
    700 Resist
    23.50% Critical Chance
    138% Hit Damage
    5.6K armor
24.3k dps with the life leeching fist
30.4k dps with the other fist

    No enchantress/Scoundrel buffs included.

I tried using a shield today since I looted a sacred shield with 13% blockrate, 144Vit, some str and int with 8%crit.. there was like a 4086dps drop on the stat sheet but I barely felt the dps loss, the durability of my character increased like 3 folds! Didnt expect shields could do such wonders!

Im in a dilemma between the enchantress or scoundrel.. I have 23% crit rate with the scoundrel but a slightly more atkspeed and armor with the enchant..

posted a message on Should I Bother Farming as a Monk?
    Quote from cyberrico

I primarily play on a wizard on which I have a hard time farming act 3 despite decent but not godly gear. I know what some of you are thinking, "Poor baby, playing the OP class, still can't hack it and want to try monk?" I don't enjoy kiting as a wizard. You can kite stuff around with good resists and armor like I have and spend a ton of time killing everything or you can build like a tank, which is dumb IMO and generally just stand there and nuke them. This of course would require that I swap out most of my gear for the most expensive gear in the game because that's what all wizards are doing now.

In Tryhard's most recent video I see him just plowing through elite packs on his monk with seemingly no effort at all and it prompted me to look a little deeper into it. His gear,( Tryhard's Monk Gear ) is very affordable to me at this time. Some pieces can be picked up for as little as 700K and nothing seems to go over 5m. Way cheaper than the wizard alternative, believe me.

From all the reading that I have been doing it seems that monk is a delicate balance of stats and build. I read about this guy who has awesome resists and armor but no LoH so he gets slaughtered or that guy that has no damage or the other guy that has no resists. If I do this I would want to mirror someone who is plowing through it So my first question is, is Tryhard's setup ideal?

I also came from a wizard and made a monk out of pure boredom and Im surprised its doing better in act3 compared to my wizard.

I did some searching on the AH that is similar to his gear and apart from the chest armor, everything else seems to be on the 3~5M range, weps are a bit expensive though.

    Hi, I recommend this article:
    http://www.osirisgui...al-wield-guide/

Thanks for the link, it answered a few other questions I had in mind. Though I havent gotten (or missed) the answer why equipping the slower weapon on the main hand and faster weapon on the off hand to give an over all faster attack speed animation.

On my monk, If I put my spear on the mainhand and fist weapon on the offhand, the attack speed animation is significantly faster.

    There is no difference.

You should be putting the slower weapon in the mainhand because FoT calculates his damages only by the mainhand dps/damage. It won't make a difference in the character screen but it will make a difference in REAL damage. This is explained by newti quite good. He has done shitloads of theorycrafting.

There is a difference, its quite noticeable ( animation wise ) and I've asked a few people on a blind test all with 100% accurate results. But anyway, I also have my slower weapon on my main hand at all times.

I dont know who this newti is but based on my own testing its not only main hand damage, other wise the gap of a 1,100dps weapon vs an 600dps should be noticeable by a huge margin. Im not saying his findings are wrong it could just be some hidden mechanic.

Thanks for the link to his stream, maybe I can get some wisdom from him as well.

I asked him on his chat, he confirms that FoT is based on BOTH weapons. :)
