So by that logic (and I use that term very loosely in your case);
Diablo 2 was never finished?

Brevik doesn't work on Torchlight.
He did Hellgate, Mythos and... not really sure passed that. Obviously Diablo 1 and 2.

And now he's going to be VP of Marvel's games. Which is just sad.Quote from AudioCG

Please note how Brevik was the ONLY one left out of Schaefer and Co.s new studio.............. (when they were all together for Flagship)
Pretty sure Bill Roper was also? After Hellgate not doing well and Mythos being sold off before it was even finished that's when Schaefer branched out more by himself I think with Matt Uelmen on board to do music.
Bill went back to Cryptic on his own. (right after Hellgate)
And then he went to China for like, 4-5 years as a "special speaker".
And then he went into Radio.
*shrugs

There's no real reason to take this personal guys, lets not forget these are just strangers on the internet, i doubt any of us are personal friends.
The interview definitely seems like it was aimed at coaxing negative feedback out of Brevik.
In my opinion though you can't take the all of the positives of D1 and D2 and attribute them to Brevik, just like you can't take all the negatives of D3 and attribute them to Wilson. If Brevik had worked on the game alone who knows if we would have ever gotten a D2 at all. Whole teams worked on all games. Some of the team from Blizzard North went on to become more successful like Max Schaefer and his team, they've shown they have a good grasp at what it takes to make a good ARPG.

Jay Wilson wouldn't even have a job right now if it weren't for the above ^^
This is a discussion about professionalism, not titles associated with their name.
Bad job trying to turn the topic elsewhere.

After saying those words to Dave, the man who brought us our passion, you will never be widely accepted, Jay. Your PR excuses cannot hide your aggressive hateful nature.
oh shut up.. while what brevik said sounded professional, it was a HUGE insult to the entire team.
jays response was no doubt unprofessional.. but heres an idea, you go put your heart and soul into something that means the world to you for 4 years, then when it's not doing so hot some other guy basically says your team is incompetent and didn't have a chance because all the talent left..
see how you react.
god people are retarded.
what he said was unprofessional, but was human, and he apologized as he should have.
water under the bridge, grow up.
For someone who is very bad at reading between the lines, you're sure insisting that others do it so well.
1. Dave was ASKED how he felt. And if you watched the interview at all you should be able to tell that the interviewer was trying VERY hard to get him to be a lot nastier. So yes, Dave was honest and yet professional, no other way to see that.
2. Jay reacted like a small child. Not exactly the type of personality that should be in his position in the first place. Human or not, when you're the game director of a franchise as popular as Diablo, working for a company as prolific as Blizzard, you should have a better temperament than that, or be smarter, but probably both.
3. His "heartfelt" "apology" was, I can guarantee you, a direct result of Mike Morhaime, or some other Blizzard higher-up, dragging Jay's ass into his office and saying "Look dude, you fucked up, go fix this and save some face", which he then tried to do. I.e. he only said those things because it's now plastered all over the internet.
Conclusion: David Brevik - 1 Jay Wilson - 0
You grow up.

Quote from AudioCGAverage age every time a community poll comes up is 27-ish. (24-30 average demograph)
They aint children bud. They are sad, painfully obsessed, socially aberrant, keyboard warriors.
Anyone remember this famous quote from "Dazed and Confused" (referenced by Brian in Family Guy one time, if you're not from my generation):
"That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age."
I wish I could say that I get older, and gamers stay the same age.
Every year that goes by, the gaming community as a whole gets more immature, more hostile, more sexist, more racist, more nerdraging, more foaming-at-the-mouth-tantrum-throwing insane.
And while all this happens.. every survey indicates that the average (biological) age is increasing, even as the mental age decreases, and the emotional age plummets.
It's enough to push you into playing single-player games exclusively.

Dave called it like it is and has customer feedback to back it up. Jay couldn't be a man about it and instead acted like a 13 year old. You don't ever think anyone is awesome and a loser at the same time. If he just said "fuck that" then I'd understand but he made a personal remark about Dave with his "loser" addition and for that he's not getting a pass.
Should we dredge up people from this community's online comments and judge them the same way?
Because THAT would be far, FAR worse, don't ya think?
The community IS actually full of children (but not all, and you can certainly find plenty of adult comments that are respectful despite the generalization). Children are the largest demographic of gamers so, duh, most of them are going to be childish. Jay Wilson is obviously not a child but certainly acted like one. His facebook is going to be one of the very few ways to get a candid view of him and this is how he reveals himself when not behind PR like this letter. You don't get to be in a position of power like this where your position is owed to your customers when you can't handle yourself appropriately. There are plenty of Game Directors who don't have evidence of acting like this.
Sure he's allowed to say "fuck you" to someone. But if he's going to be dumb enough to say it to the creator of the franchise that gave him his fucking job, you better actually back your shit up (like Dave did). He didn't. Just a flippant statement like any kid would. Your job as a leader (and a Director is a leader of multiple leaders) is to set an example. When I get paid to do what he does and control huge franchises like that, you be sure to put me in my place if you catch me doing shit like that.

Paragon system looked awesome then they said its for 1 char only! What a nice way to force me to play 1 char.
rip 9 alts
yeah thats sucks!
i like all classes and part of the fun for me is to switch betweens classes and gamemodes (HC/SC) but now i'm forced to chose one character in one gamemode for the next - i quote Jay Wilson - "hundreds and hundreds of hours"

I'm on that too. I'm personally not really interested in having all of my progress reset overnight.
(yes, I hated that specific part of D2 too)

You are on the right track, but i'll parrot what others have said here, +MS is going to help your WW build a metric TON, you really, REALLY want to hit that 25% is boost on MS, esp on a WW build.

If going for max damage, DW would be the way to go. (my Skysplitter/Blade of Warlord combo does slightly less "paper" DPS, but faaaaaaar more damage in actual play)
I do wish the Grandfather had a better range of stats available though, because that shit is sexy as hell.

I have like 400 comics in my Comixology account on Android.

I wouldn't just straight up swipe my CC and just buy all my gear, that would take out like 90% of the game for me, seems pointless.
However,
I have (and still do) buy and sell on the GAH, and pre 1.03 I had sold some stuff on the RMAH, put said funds gained from said sales into my Bnet account, then turned that balance into in game gold at a later date.
It does not bother me in any way if others want to just buy all their stuff outright, I have a hard time understanding why they would want to do that, but, whatever floats their boat I guess.
I also dont really see buying gear from others as "pay to win", last time I checked, getting an item from another player was called "trading" (in D2 it was for Runes/Gear/Forum Gold, in D3 it is for Gold/Gear/Cash).

You really are borderline retarded arent you?
The 15-20k NEW players weekly would indicate, quite clearly, that more people are playing the game then your hilariously misinformed estimate. As in, more new people BOUGHT Diablo 3 in the LAST MONTH then your previous estimate of the entire existing player base, you massive, incoherent, mouth breather.
What is it like being that dense?
Can you put on your own shoes in the morning? Does someone have to feed you?
0
Fun fact;
Diablo 3 still sells around 15-20k units weekly, thats more players then USwest and East combined in D2.
Reality, it hurts doesn't it?
0
Yeah, I see what you are saying.
Add some PvP into the mix, and maybe make Whimsy worth something again, throw in another "thing" like the Hellfire rings, and make some adjustments to higher MP levels......
POW
Awesomesauce.

Clearly not as many people that like to play CoD while listening to Bieber?
Its the new Call of Bieber popularity measurement system. (designed by "The people that know better then you" council.)
....Im sorry, I HAD to.

Uh huh.

You go girl! (I totally took you up on your signature advice!)

This alone is all I need to know about you.
What is it like having them knuckles constantly dragging on the ground? Do they get scabbed up alot?

At least Keys/Ubers promotes MP5+.
But yeah, I think a little bump up in bonus for MP5+ would make it more compelling.
1
Get out of here with your common sense and logic.
0
Nope, not really.
I do think it is hilarious that CoD is your favorite game though. (at that point, I think its pretty safe to discount any opinion you may have on game quality as "horribly misinformed")
Do you have a collection of Justin Bieber CD's you want to brag about too?
0
They both actually farm on MP2/3 most of the time, they can still one shot at that level.
I agree with your assessment, go up in MP until you cannot blitz through it.
0
Yup, they can do exactly that.
That 145k guy crits for 400K+, shit just melts to him.
