Simple solution, increase chest drops, keep the MF nerf to them.
They reduced the drops with the MF nerf, but did not compensate for it.

Shadow power: Gloom > Smoke Screen, it's more Discipline efficient, especially if you have atleast 3k armor, 250 all res, and 35+k hp.
The trick with Mortar I find the easiest, is to watch the enemies...and i know this sounds crazy ..RUN TOWARDS THEM when they begin casting it, Mortar tends to do a pattern of left to right and back a bit (Like a d shape where you are standing on the | part of the d), running ~15 yards in, and then moving 15 yards back out 2 seconds later, means I only get hit by mortar when I'm not watching them.

Or you can just kite normally with stutter stepping, shoot run hold shift and shoot, run > release mouse > aim where you want to shoot, hold shift and left click > click away to run > repeat. If you've got pro SC2 Micro skills you can just hold the left down and aim and press shift to shoot, whichever works for you.

I highly doubt anyone who is complaining about inferno found all of their gear, not buying a single piece from the AH/RMAH.
You ruined the endgame for yourself.

    Now, as for patch issues:
    Item drops need addressing
    Repair costs need lowering
Latency issues need addressing before minor skill bug fixes that could be patched @ 1.1

The main difference in a lack of reward feeling, is level progression, D2 you could do days of Baal runs and not get anything good, but you knew you were still leveling, getting closer to level 95 or even 99, but when you're stuck at 60 and no items drop, you've gained nothing (besides most likely a large repair bill)

I like the trap playstyle, but I like Cluster arrow as a spender more.

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#bPYTVg!gYe!acbZcY

You should note that Entangling Arrow deals damage to all enemies it chains, so it's actually an AoE and a slow, and a hatred generator, AoE damaging 4 enemies with chain gain.

Using bat companion for extra hatred regen so I can pump more clusters out.

I also love using scoundrel with a weapon that has +cold damage really useful form of crowd control/slow with his 3 arrow ability.

Using caltrops with the damage rune as it can be stacked 5 times on the ground using preparation and it applies 225% weapon damage (@ 5 stacks) per second to enemies walking over it.

Legendary items with the +Attack Speed bonus will now correctly provide a bonus to attack speed
    • Please note that this fix will only affect new Legendary drops. Existing Legendary items will be addressed in future patch.

Ridiculously annoying, would have been easy to fix considering they nerfed the IAS on these items (even if it doesn't work still)
Nether Tentacles nerf is also annoying. Ias on weapons was a bad bad move, doesn't affect me, but if it did I would be raging.

posted a message on Getting bored of farming..? I DO!
The fundemental problem with Diablo 3 when it comes to farming at 60, is that you don't level any further.
In Diablo 2, getting to level 99 was an additional bonus while farming, getting those extra stats and skill points was just as (if not more) rewarding than the gear.
In Diablo 3, you've already taken that reward away and it's just simply killing things faster.
Edit: I guess there is PvP but being in SEA, I won't even bother with that due to latency.

Wizard is a fun class, but it really is lacking, only saving grace is Venom Hydra.
Swapped my alt and main around, alt was Demon Hunter, a little less survivability on champ packs, but a looooot more dps.
Resource system pwns Arcane which even with Prodigy and Astral Presence burns out too quickly. DH has a great no CD CC break (Smoke screen, should have a CD on it imo)
I think they need to increase signature skill damage, as it's just simply too weak in every way compared to everything, or make RoF a signature. Doesn't matter if you use Chain Lightning or Piercing Orb, Bola Shot simply craps all over any signature, Hungering arrow > Magic missle,
Vault > Teleport, they need to remove the CD on teleport and change Wormhole rune. It shouldn't have any AP cost if it's going to have a massive CD (15 seconds is massive for an avoidance ability, especially considering comparing it to other classes)
Wizards catch up on DPS once you have Magic Weapon and Sparkflint familiar and Glass Cannon, 3 slots used just to keep up with other classes.
Kinda disappointed in this class right now, hopefully it'll prove me wrong when I have both it and DH at lvl 60. (In before omg ur not 60 and ur comparing, yes I am, other classes are all about even up to 20, maybe Barb a lil infront of Monk until 20)

    My build http://us.battle.net...aQOm!aXc!bYYZcc

I think my build is better...

I think it doesn't. Too much AP generated and not enough AP spent. Unspent AP is wasted killing power.

Have to agree, you're focusing very heavily on AP reduction runes and AP generating abilities, but have no big spenders that would require such a conservative focus on AP.
Kind of wondering why you'd put magic missle on 1, assuming you have a mouse with a few extra buttons, but still... :P
Teleport with wormhole is a good move, but no other defensive/cc's is going to hurt when you get mobs onto you and teleport is on CD. I'd suggest getting Frost Nova/Diamond Skin or Wave of Force in there somewhere.
I've altered your build slightly, and hope you may try it out some time, shouldn't change your gameplay style much at all.

Thanks for the input Perma, I was hoping Astral Presence would compensate for the AP side of things from Meteor, and the fact that Comet lasts for awhile meaning I won't need to spam it, maybe Meteor Shower would be smarter as it lasts longer once again.
Come to think of it, merely using AO 3 times taxed my AP pool, so maybe something more along the lines of, taking Cold Blooded and using Ray of Frost with 0 AP use for single target, and changing the rune on Meteor to Star Pact, or possibly considering Energy twister

    http://us.battle.net...dOSj!WXf!bZacZa

First Ray of Frost tooltip is bugged, you should read "12AP" and not "0AP". But, this is pure theory though, I guess it's possible to make a signature-less build viable (but not optimal).

Base AP regen is 14AP/s, so if you spam RoF on downtimes your effective AP regen is 2AP/s. Then you took Astral Presence (+2AP/s). Add Storm Armor (Power of the Storm) and you are at 7AP/s effective regen. I guess, if Magic Weapon's effects proc on any spell and not only on melee hits, you could get the Conduit rune for extra AP.

If I should ever consider Energy Twister I guess I'll stick with the Wicked Wind rune (that synergize well with Temporal Flux). Energy Twister's path is too unpredictable so unless you cast it at melee range some of the twisters may never hit anything

I see that you take the super-tanky Energy Armor, do you plan on playing mostly at close/mid range ? If not, you could get rid of your armor spell or take Storm Armor (Power of the Storm) for decreased AP cost.

I think you should get rid of either Magic Weapon or Familiar they deserve the same purpose and I think you lose more having both damage bonuses than having another damage spell.

    Here are some ideas :

    - Star Pact Meteor + Conflagration can replace Magic Weapon or Familiar, freeing one active skill slot
    - if you plan on meleing, Spectral Blades (Healing Blades) + Blur can improve your survivability and gives you a good signature spell to work on
    - if you plan on staying at range, forget Energy Armor (Prismatic Armor). You can take Energy Tap rune or Storm Armor or no Armor at all. Diamond Skin (Prism) is also a good skill for ranged Wizard as you can use it both defensively and offensively, depending the difficulty of the pack you engage.

I've always hard time to find solo builds using Meteor fitting my playstyle, so forgive me if I don't suggest any.
No probs Perm, some good advice once again.
If I were to use Energy Twister, it'd be with the rune that makes it stay in one place, I dislike the randomness of it's pathing, and I certainly don't plan on being in melee range with that build.
Conflag seems ok, but I really do prefer magic weapons chance on knockback, though replacing familiar could be a good idea if I did go that route.
Only a few days to go until I can test it all out, should be gooooooood!
