posted a message on Datamined 1.0.3.10057 patch changes - IAS nerf!
    Quote from Trombone

    Quote from Adon

Time to just stack up on Crit chance and Crit damage for every class. They will nerf that in 1.1 probably, so just ride the flavor of the month. Apparently this is an MMO where constant "balance" changes occur.

No, the game is barely a month old and is a complex thing to balance. Get that sand out of your vagina boi.
Really? They are already nerfing IAS barely a month into the game and why? Because it is used by everyone. So now everyone drops IAS and say picks up Crit chance and damage. So what will happen a month into that? Oh...IDK...maybe a nerf? They will never be satisfied with the game or how it is played because the mass majority do not play the game as Blizzard believes people should or do and when that happens, they nerf shit to try and force you to play how they want. It isn't about playing how you want in Diablo anymore, it is about playing how Jay Wilson deems right.

"We make that as a joke. We'll say, ‘You're a bad designer if you tell your customer that you're playing the game wrong.' It's actually the customer's game. We should do our best to enable that experience. If someone is playing the game and they're not having a good time and it's because they're not playing it right, that's our fault."

@the people going back to D2.... why? i tried playing a D2 sorc after the open beta, and just couldn't do it. While I think the D2 economy was more approachable than an AH filled with 20mil gold / $250 items, D3 gameplay is still much more engaging.
why ? Bigger maps, deeper dungeons, more diverse bestiary, runewords, characters not only relying on their gear, faster gameplay, less crappy caps, ...
Damn this man is preaching. If D2 didn't have its economy strangled by D2JSP, or at least if Blizzard removed most of the hacks. Id go back in a heart beat.

posted a message on Is diablo 3 a good game? Compare?
Diablo 3 is a decent game, if it wasn't called Diablo. If this was like Guild Wars 2 instead of what they have then I would be more impressed and probably like it more. However it is stuck with a great name for a game that doesn't live up to the hype or the expectation.

Now for whats missing? Stats, skills, PvP, Options, Interaction, the list goes on. Everything great about Diablo was taken out, for a more convenient method that ruins the game.

Said it before and ill say it again, if Diablo 2's economy wasn't totally fucked by D2JSP and Blizzard actually removed hacks from the game id drop D3 in a heartbeat.

Cmon guys there are BILLIONS of viable builds. I mean, Blizzard and so many here have stressed that point before the game came out. They can't be wrong, they are Blizzard!

posted a message on Finally got my refund!
Haha I love the hate and anger in this thread. People getting so pissy and upset because he destroyed the game and found it unsatisfying. Good for you for getting a refund, and good for you for not being blind to how this game really pales to Diablo 2. Yes when I say Diablo 2 I am talking vanilla Diablo 2, 1.01 Diablo 2. Back when we had loot, no level req uniques, ect. You couldn't hit max level in that game in a day and then have nothing to do but waste your life trying to find an item with 1 better stat, or be required to pay millions of gold for what..an item that is honestly really worth 500k at best?

Inferno..ha what a joke. Inferno is a gimmick, a bad 1 at that. Its either not even challenging when you get the right gear, or it is instant kill till you find right gear, nothing entertaining about that.

The blind love for this game is beyond me, the blind hate for Diablo 2 is also beyond me.

posted a message on Did Diablo 3 innovate?
Meh no. In my opinion the didn't elevate the gameplay like Diablo 2 did to Diablo 1. It doesn't really feel like an upgrade. They altered some mechanics but nothing that really says "Hey I am new and innovative and great compared to my predecessor." Then again, developers are to scared shitless to take real risk or develop anything like a classic these days, to much money involved now.

posted a message on The endgame in Diablo 3 is pathetic, and disapointing
I love how all of the Blizzard fanboys are still trying so hard to latch onto their dream that Diablo 3 is better then Diablo 2.

    Let's see,
People STILL play private games over public games by a TON (Something most of you said would be different in D3)

Hell isn't hard at all, if anything it is even easier then Diablo 2. After 1 little upgrade of gear I went from dying every now and again, to face planting everything with no regard.

Itemization blows, uniques are worthless, set items are insanely hard to find, and magics and rares dominate the playing field easily.

PvM is well lack luster, been there done that. Can fly through the game and hit max level with no problem, and they honestly expect me to sit there and waste my time trying to grind through inferno? Inferno follows the same shitty set up that the other difficulties do, gear up and faceplant it.

Good thing this game owns D2 though, ha. Good luck keeping this garbage running for half the time D2 did and is.

Better hope the PvP patch is better then what they have shown so far, otherwise I can't see many sticking around. Nothing challenging or remotely addicting in this game once you hit max level.

posted a message on A pvp debate
    Quote from Conax

Ecutruin: Endgame wont be endgame, PvP wont be PvP. Gear will just be gear and there is nothing in the game to strive and fight for. Fun will stop being fun, even to you unless ofcourse you're one of those who can ride a bike around a pole for hours on end. Usually, you enjoy the PvE game, gather the best gear so you then can preform better in PvP and climb the ranks, right there you have a game that will last for many years to come. You all get the illusion that this arena they are creating will be like rebecca black says "FUN FUN FUN". Yes it will be fun in the beginning but people will whine about balance and overpowered setups and then they will start to whine over the incompentet players they get paired with unless you team up with RLs or other good players that you know. This arena will most defenetly not be as fun as people think it will. No good rewards, no goals, teamed up with retards no matter what "hidden rating you have" which will be another "fun" experience and add to the more fun, they will whine about balance, they will whine about getting owned, they will whine about overpowered setups and the flaming will begin. Killing players will get old unless you're one of those who get distracted by a shiny penny on the ground while someone gets killed in the background. No goals, no rewards, whats the point? Forced to play PvE just because there is no good PvP? Bite me honestly. Blizzard can skip making an arena if they think their PvE will hold, but no they make PvP because they know it wont hold for that long and neither will their casual arena.
    Bingo.

People have way to much faith in Blizzards PvM haha. I only PvM'd in Diablo 2 so I could get better gear so I could PvP. You honestly think killing some retarded AI monsters is incentive for me to play the game for a long time? Game is about building your character, gathering your gear, and seeing who is the best. Can't wait for their "hard" mode inferno to get stomped in a few weeks.

    Quote from Ryude

Even in LoD, D2 was not able to be completed without extremely rare gear. Enigma was not something you could realistically find all by yourself, you had to trade for it. Usually, the items were traded on jsp for fg and that's how 90% of the people were able to do hell baals.

    ROFL!!!
I don't wanna pick on him, but it really saddens me that apparently a lot of the community is like this. They are so misinformed about the game that it makes me scared that the game will be created by either 1 of them, or for them and then anyone who actually knew what was going on, gets to play in the shallow end.
