That wasn't my point at all... what I was actually saying was the opposite. The whole blindfold part was to say that personality > looks. Gamer girls can be be at a whole spectrum of physical attractiveness, just like everyone else. But, since most of the time you never see other gamers unless you're sitting next to them, it's kind of hard to tell what she looks like.
Ha ha.. sorry I was just being a wise-ass. Ha ha, just got home from work so I'm still set in that mindset. I agree, though, personality > looks, but I still need to be somewhat attracted to someone to like them.
I could imagin the epicness of playing with a gf, but honostly, gaming is our thing (not to mention that girls cant play).
Girls wish for guys they can go shopping and have a cup of tee with aswell, but seriously. I think both parts are better of these " dreams "
Wow.. Not sure I understand the last sentence... but uh, girls can game too!
Haha, dude I've broken the mold on this one. Now, whenever I encounter a 'gamer girl' on the internets without a face, I imagine them being the most unattractive beings. I mean, fat, pimple-faced, socially awkward, and embarrassing to be seen around. I'm tired of being disappointed, and worse yet - disgusted.
I generally start people off with an F when I first meet them in real life anyways.
So girls are automatically ugly on the internet... but when they turn out to not be ugly then you're disappointed or disgusted? Am I reading that right? Or were you disappointed/disgusted when they did not meet your standards?
I don't have any background at all, no. It's the story everyone's heard I'm sure. I started playing around with a cheap compact camera long ago, got my own slightly less cheap one for my birthday a few years after, then bought my own. I never took any photography/video lessons or classes of any sort. Just been experimenting.
The videos you mention are a couple of years old now, and they were some of the first I filmed just for the heck of it. I never had an agenda to be a good filmmaker or whatever, I just like documenting stuff.
I don't know if you can tell, but I am incredibly flattered by all this. I only ever showed these videos to one or two close fiends. It's all very encouraging. Also, the Drain video was filmed with an ipod.
He he, well the video is one of my favorites on YouTube now.
D3 is an "instant hit", I know so!
The biggest question is beyond Diablo 3.. Will Project "Titan" be a success? Will it change the world of gameplay as we know it?
Diablo is the only game-series from Blizzard I actually like and feel urge to play.
Same for me! I liked WoW for a while, but the Diablo series has been my favorite from them. I think Titan's success really depends on what genre of MMO they go for (fantasy, sci-fi, etc.)
The battlechest has been reduced in price by $10, from $29.99 to $19.99 in the US currency.
I was extremely close to buying it, since I don't know where my Diablo 2 CD's are, but if you are getting the Diablo 3 collectors you'll be getting D2 as a bonus item.
If you want to brute force it, Andariel nightmare.. or just patch back to Vanilla 1.06 and gamble it. They were sooo easy to get, I've never really understood, how they could remain THE currency, especially since they've been duped to Oblivion. But as those bad guys also dominated the market come LoD, it didn't change. And it got even worse, when Blizz reduced its legitimate availability. Like the desert would run out of sand..
It was a better currency than gold, which was way more abundant than SoJ at first. Not really even sure why exactly SoJ became the currency either, maybe because it was usable by so many builds, not really sure!
Nothing to do with the thread, though it went off topic from the 2nd post but CCP released some info on the male:female % in EVE online http://wiki.eveonlin...voting_patterns you can see the playerbase is approx 4% female. I think it probably varies a lot for each MMO, I would expect a much higher % in WoW because I doubt the cruel world of EVE online appeals to many women but still nowhere near 50/50.
I wrote a really long post about how I describe a gamer and different types of gamer but it's too difficult to put into a short post so I'll just say I think it's someone who plays games(not farmville/facebook/phone games etc) for 20+ hours a week. People who play CoD for a couple hours a week aren't gamers.
I never could get into EVE. I tried to play it and after the 3 hour tutorial I was still completely lost with what to do next, lol. Games that are easy to pick up are more my style.

Oh, and the guy dancing was pretty cool.

So you have to be blindfolded to find a gamer girl more attractive?
So girls are automatically ugly on the internet... but when they turn out to not be ugly then you're disappointed or disgusted? Am I reading that right? Or were you disappointed/disgusted when they did not meet your standards?

That's a pretty cool picture!

Hmm..? Not getting what you mean. Diablo 1 + 2 were a lot of fun.
