A man was fined $500 after finding a bag full of $17,000 and turning it in to the cops... except that he told them he found it somewhere other than where he actually found it...

    What what in the butt?

PS: Beat you to it, Daemaro! :P

I'm wondering why Mephisto here hasn't made a "What I Hate..." blog.

    Probably hates blogs. ;)

Thanks for the compliments guys! We're trying to make a giant epic explorable, roleplay-able world!

Is that in classic, classic beta, or current beta? I can see the water flowing, but it's a different color than I'm used to. Either that or it's modded.
Current beta. It is an ongoing modern server. The images were taken using a couple different texture packs. MCME has it's own texture pack as well.

Will they include goblins, orcs and Uruk-hai?
We're looking at possibly making skeletons/zombies orcs and such, yes.

and how complete is Helm's deep?
I'm actually leading the design/build team for Helm's Deep. We're at about 15% right now I'd say (until total completion, including detailed housing/barracks/etc). I can show you some pictures from the construction job if you'd like.

Hey guys. If any of you really love Minecraft AND Lord of the Rings, you guys should check out this other server too: http://www.diablofans.com/topic/25593-minecraft-middle-earth/

As long as it doesn't detract from the DFans Server, of course! ;)

Of all the projects using Minecraft as a medium, MCME is quite possibly the most detailed and incredibly large undertaking ever. We are working to create what may become the first and possibly only seamless recreation of Middle-Earth that is 100% detailed and complete, allowing players to walk uninterrupted by loading screens from one edge of the map to the other. As if that weren’t enough, when the project is complete, a role-playing element is in the works along with npc’s and an actual storyline.

I've recently become a member of this online group working towards making Middle Earth (the land of the Lord of the Rings) a reality through a Minecraft server. It's pretty awesome - both the scale of the project on which we are working AND the people with whom you get to work. It's free to join, there's room for advancement among the ranks, and - best of all - you are even allowed to submit your own designs and build your own houses.

I urge anyone here interested in LOTR, Tolkien, and/or Minecraft to check out this website now: Minecraft Middle Earth!

    Here are some pictures...

Reinforcement and all that. Thanks, I'll fix those.

    Edit-- Fixed.

    Edit---

@critter: With the new logo (thanks again, Jetrall!), I think it looks okay without the transparent black background. Had to shift things around a little, but there you go.

    You're welcome! :)

If I remember correctly, participated in some of the fun RPs here a long time ago. Can't remember having a problem with Venom - ever. Which says something, as I am rather quick of temper.

Wow. I'm Canadian and don't know anything about basketball (nor do I particularly care about it) - even I know who Shaq is.

Then again, I guess you guys aren't American, so that's fair. He's essentially the corporate whore NBA player that appears in commcercials for Subway, Icy Hot Patch (or w/e it's called), Radio Shack... etc

I like the graphics on that Infantry game there. I reckon I might give that a run.

Not sure if it's still around. SOE might have killed it off by now. Started in the early/mid 90's and after they purchased it, they made it Pay-To-Play which essentially killed the game's fanbase. They tried bringing it back, making it free again with advanced "subscriber" features, but damage was done. By now it might be totally deserted... or it could be making a comeback...

    Here's the website anyways: LINK
