posted a message on The real reason why D3 is broken
I'm gonna shed some light on a few things for you:

    - Elvis is not still alive
    - There is no Loch Ness Monster
    - The world isn't going to end on December 21st 2012
    - Diablo 3 is neither broken, nor dying

Actually, I'm not positive about the first 3, but the fourth one is a fact!

Seriously, there are people who actually enjoy the game. Calling something, which has only been out for a few months, and has a VERY large amount of people playing, broken, is just an obvious cry for attention.

posted a message on Which class is the easiest Act III Inferno farm?
honestly, I'd say wait on the class developer blogs. they should come within the next couple of week (hopefully all next week, but who knows). A lot of classes will be getting changed up quite a bit, so whatever the easiest farm is now may not be the same after the patch.

At least that's my opinion. If you're eager to for something for right now though, then yeah, sword and board barb might be the safest way to go, shouldn't cost too much to get a decent enough set to farm without too much stress, and it's likely that it won't be affected too much by the patch.

It's a patch for SC2/battle.net, if there were a patch for D3 going in, we would be able to download it already. Blizz games in general have always had the patch available for download long before the servers are initially intended to come online.

posted a message on I hate that anything below i61 is not even worth picking up.
I've gotten quite a few well rolled ilvl 57-60 items that I've either sold for super high amounts of gold, or been able to use on one of my characters. Getting a pair of ilvl 58 boots with ~100 dex, ~80 vit, ~50 resist all, ~50 fire resist, ~10 move speed, and ~150 life/s made picking up sub ilvl 61s worth it to me. And I've gotten a good amount of items like that, lots of awesome MF gear with ideal stat rolls always sell for great, even sub-ilvl61. Maybe they won't sell for 1million+, but I'm not that intense of a farmer, usually only one or 2 act1 farms per day, so even a nice 50-100k item is totally worth selling, for me.

posted a message on Why make a game where skill doesnt matter?
Check out Kripp's budget barb videos. With enough skill, you can beat all of inferno with a set of gear costing less than 1 million, under 10k dps, and only somewhat decent defensive stats.

I understand the point you were trying to make with your post OP, but it really comes across more as bragging of all of your MMO accomplishments than anything else.

As for the people with expensive gear, lots of gold, high dps, etc., many farmed gold using the royal crypts or damp cellar before it got nerfed (back when non-boss purple enemies had decent droprates damp cellar was amazing, huge gold/hour plus chances for some awesome gear drops). many got lucky and got a good item early on which was able to either carry them into later acts, or sell for huge chunk of gold they could use to get good enough gear to get them into later acts.

Im not gonna lie and not a single person will disagree with me who has played it. soloing a fast affix mob or invul minions is impossible as a WD. 100% impossible. i have never seen anyone kill a fast affix mob in inferno as a WD. we just cant do it. :(

I can most definitely disagree, I've killed both using the splinters build, the rain of toads tank build, and the poison summoner build. They can be annoying, I agree, but they're totally killable, just need some decent gear and the right build. Grasp, zombie wall, hex, fetish army (with ambush), spirit walk, and of course, splinters. I find that build with some decent gear can handle any affix combo.

I chose barb, because of the shear speed of sprint/WW build.

That being said, WD can cheaply get some absolutely insane amounts of MF, while keeping their dps good enough to absolutely annihilate any elites in seconds other than say plagued/extra health or plagued/shielding, due to the fact that of all the MF weapons, WD has the only one (Manajuma's with a whopping ~34% mf) that can give a decent amount of dps as well. Add to that the fact that spirit visage basically gives them a second life, which really helps cut down on downtime/repair bills for those tough affix combos (I'm looking at you vortex/reflects damage/arcane/fire chains).

But really, every class is good at farming, just need to find the right build and good mf gear. So, as others have said, it all comes down to what you enjoy most :)

    Using Seize the Initiative.

    Here is my build: http://us.battle.net...Ykig!ZXU!abcacY

i've been using the Scoundrel and I will give the Enchantress a try. Based on your feedback and Coaster_Man I feel like the progression is going for higher armor/res/loh. I can get gear with high dex, some vit and dual resists - but no crit. for that magic combo on one piece is like four hundred gahzillion gold )

I would suggest when getting pieces with crit chance/damage as possible stats, don't choose vit as a search term, if you find a cheap one with it, great, but don't be afraid to lose vit for offensive stats on those items, focus on getting it on pieces that can't roll crit chance/damage, and maybe also look for life% on things that can roll it to give you that extra life if you need it. As for damage, I find the best way to buy weapons is looking for socket and primary stat (vit if you're life is low, dex if not) and go for as high dps as you can afford (preferably higher speed) and then throw as high of a Crit damage gem as you can afford in one, and as high of a LOH gem as you can afford in the other, then get the rest of your LOH in ammys and rings.

posted a message on Barbarian or Monk for Magic Find Stacking?
    I would suggest Barb.

Monk is alright, but Barb is (at least at the moment) much more viable. There are many specs which (using some very decently priced gear) can handle their own VERY effectively. The Overpower/Reflects damage spec with a decent amount of LOH can make you nearly impossible, while the sprint/WW build is EXTREMELY effective for soloing because you can get around unbelievably quickly, making your farming runs that much faster, while also allowing you to get past non-elites much more effectively.

I would suggest the sprint/ww build with sword and board (MF and lots of crit chance on shield) and you can solo farm extremely effectively, and simply switch to either the revenge spam build or the overpower/reflects build when grouping.

Just make sure you're smart with your gearing, don't try to get strength AND vit on every piece. Check out Kripp's budget barb guide for an idea of how to get good barb gear for a decent price.

Now, all this could change come 1.0.4, and monk could very potentially become more effective, so be aware of that.

And really more important than anything else is make sure you choose the one you'll have more fun playing :D

    Someone posted on jsp:

This bow can be purchased from a npc in the Rotting Cellar, Path to the Oasis ACT2.

Since some npc sells ilvl63 it can be legit, just trolled the whole community

    found source:

    http://forums.d2jsp....t=63863904&f=68
You should had readed the whole topic then..
First, a lot of players tried it, no one got a 60+ ilvl weapon OR the same rare item multiple times...
The guy had 8, for that happen, he would had to find the merchant with the same bow 8 times (merchant doesn't sell ilvl 63 weapons)
So there is no real proof that he got the items from the merchant, but also no real proofs that he can dupe items.

Absence of proof is not proof of absence.

It is quite possible that this vendor does happen to have an astronomically tiny chance to sell that item. It is also possible that the person who found it was somehow able to get multiple copies of it in the same game. Perhaps it was a group of friends, and somehow they were able to exit and re-enter the game and continuously re-buy the same item each time. Perhaps the item was available to each person in the game once, and they cycled people through, each one in turn buying the bow.

Or, perhaps, these people trying it could have only been trying it for a very short amount of time, while this person who posted all the bow could have been doing it for WEEKS on end with countless runs each day, possibly even on multiple accounts, possibly botted.

Or, in all likelihood, it was caused by a bug, maybe a group of people got multiple elite packs together (as many as possible) and were able to kill them all at once and the multiple same-item bug may have been multiplied. Or maybe it was found on a vendor, but somehow the person was allowed to buy it many times. Or someone posted the bow on the AH, and there was a bug with the AH and multiple postings of the bow went up.

Or someone figured out how to dupe, how the hell should I know?

I'm waiting for an official answer from Blizzard before I go into hysterics over something that may or may not be duping. I can assume that if there actually was some duping going on, Blizzard is going to be all over it, find out how it's done, and deal with it, and we'll get some sort of announcement from them soon enough. If you're really that concerned about it, don't use the AH until Blizz confirms or denies that it was in fact duping.

posted a message on How often are you FINDING upgrades?
I have upgraded my ammy at least 3 times, and now have a 28 mf, crit damage, decent int ammy for my farming, a near perfect int rolled ammy with high crit damage and a few other nice things for when I feel like progressing, and a nice 35% mf dex ammy for when I finish leveling my monk

I have also upgraded my chest, legs, helm, and shoulders (for my mf set)

I've also found tons of upgrades for other classes for when I level them up, or for my buddies.

You have to remember that if you only have one max level character, then you're less likely to find an upgrade because getting a well rolled high ilvl rare still could only be well rolled for 1 class, or one stat-group.

Also, as for the "if there were no AH I would not have been able to get any upgrades" mentality, people would just trade items in person like in D2 if there were no AH. You'd be able to get items, probably many times for cheaper than what the AH is now, from people directly.

posted a message on I found my first 1k DPS weapon! but...
I totally didn't think to get a screenie of my best drop, an IK chest last night xD

though tbh, I've gotten an obscene amount of ilvl 61 set pieces for only farming act 1 (VERY casually) once or twice a day, got about 250ish hours in, and I've gotten:

    natalya's helm
    inna's pants
    IK chest
    IK gloves
Manajuma's knife (rocking that now, sure it gimps my dps, but I'm farming act 1, so 25k is totally fine if it means 323 mf with my 5 stacks)

Yeah, I've been giving lots of offerings to the RNG gods :)

posted a message on Do WDs have a fun gimmick build?
check out a few of the threads here, there's a pretty cool tank build using rain of toads, dire bats build is always fun, bears can be fun if you enjoy it (I'm not much of a fan, too many affix combos are really annoying for bears).

Hopefully in 1.0.4, they'll have flushed out the whole "90% of our skills are either unusable (zombie dogs) or simply vastly underpowered for one reason another (spirit barrage, spiders, etc.)" thing, and give us some far more varied, interesting build choices. I'm hoping for a nice pets + short/medium range skills meleecaster build.
