Meh. Such a waste of a good engine.

Besides, parties. I don't do parties in SP.

The only BF I played was Battlefield: Vietnam and it was horrible.

But unique sounds better, who cares if it doesn't make sense ^^
It was present in Diablo I and Diablo II, so I really do not understand the issue. Those games were very successful despite the name. If we're talking about logic there are so many much more illogical things in Diablo...
Legendary just sounds like something they took from WoW.

    Quote from Dolaiim
I don't think it's that easy to balance, personally. Life leech tends to be either game-breaking, or completely ignorable as a stat.
Games like LoL disagree with you.
There's nothing particularly difficult to balance about life leech. Not any more than any other stat, really.

It's most probably going to be in the game in some way, it's a pretty standard stat for RPG's.
    Quote from Don_guillotine
There is already the life globe system. Having life leech become a powerful stat will pull the rug below the entire combat system that the health globes bring.
    Please.
    You ran out of globes.
    What now?

posted a message on I started going to the gym..
Actually if you damage your muscles you will get muscle damage and your muscles will NOT grow.

What you want is to rip tendons but that's different, and that causes regrowth.

But if you over-exercise you will just damage them.
    Quote from korps3
not to mention most shakes are milk based soo u know allergic stuff and all that..
Pretty irrelevant if the person in question is allergic to milk.

Some people getting unlucky or living in overly sterile environments are not worth making allergy information worth mentioning IMO...

That depends on how they balance and design skills.

If we'll see skills that do not work on bosses; skills that are only good as AoE; skills that are the same as other skills...

If the entire end-game consists of beating up cows (unicorns, sheep, etc.) I will be very, very angry.

As a bonus, easter egg level, fine, end-game, hell fucking no.

So, how will you guys play the game? As soon as you start the game, as it in Oblivion, you can follow the main quest or ignore it and explore on your own.
Not really. You have to chase the emperor and all that rubbish, there's a moment at the sewers you can save at and just load it when needed if you want to start the game without having to kill rats again...
Skyrim will probably be the same way. Tutorialish thing at first which hags your inventory then you worry where you should sell your crap and where you should store your crap and THEN you can start doing your thing.
I hope Skyrim does something else in that aspect.

I never did the main quest lol.

Problem I have with mods, and it's a minor one, is just that there are actually too many. And if you're trying out mods for a game as old as Morrowind for the first time, you see there are just a ton and a considerable number of them will conflict with one another. And the site that hosts all these mods describe everything as if everyone already knows which mod is what. So it's a learning process completely separate on its own I find.
I have to agree with this. Even checking out mods for Oblivion was tedious.

I don't think you can build laptops.

I'm looking at the Lenovo W520 right now, but I'm a bit confused about the Quadro 1000M, I have no idea what kind of a VC that is and there's not much info on it.

posted a message on Wanting to Buy a New Mouse
I used Logitech 5G in the past and I hated it.

I currently can't really try these mice anywhere since stores around here suck for pretty much anything electronics-wise. But newegg and others have pretty good return policies within 30 days so not a big deal.
    Quote from Aever1
Another good choice is the Roccat Kone. This is a high-end mouse and the price tag reflects that.
Isn't sold in the US from what I've seen.

    Quote from Aever1
A word of warning, Razer mice tend to have a problem with the buttons. I had a Habu and another Imperator and both broke in the same way, the left button started double clicking when it should do a single. Aparently it was a common problem, not sure if it is fixed or not.
Yeah, that's why I skipped over Razer. So many complaints, and their customer service is nonexistent. I hate defective products.

Meh. Still, the information I'm looking for doesn't seem to be there...

Was the combat upgraded? Can you dodge properly now? Are the hitboxes and enemy aiming fixed or are they still akin to super-rotating missiles with the same combat structure each?

And for the UI, did they finally separate inventory from character info from quests and etc.?

    That's the players fault.
It's the player's fault he never played a trinity MMO before?

    Quote from Daemaro
If you want to be a decent tank, you use a tank spec.
You realize that tank is a counterintuitive concept and the logical way to advance your character in a non-trinity game is that of a balanced character, i.e., character effective in leveling?

    Quote from Daemaro
that's how you should learn the game, through practice and experience. How else would you learn how to tank for people?
Throwing a person into a dungeon with the "tank" label is a horrible learning experience. For all intents and purposes, it's pretty much useless. You won't tank well if you don't know what a Taunt is, or what Threat is, or why does the healer matter, or why are the DPS made of paper. And if you do learn from it, you will do so incredibly slowly and painfully. I don't call that learning.

Furthermore, nobody forces people into dungeons or presents dungeon mechanics in quests or tutorials, so people may never even hear about them until they hit level 85 and go "huh what now what are these instance thingies?"

No offense, but you're talking exactly like a min-maxer or a raider typically talks, thinking anyone who doesn't understand a playstyle they have NEVER seen instantenously is an idiot, so I really don't think you qualify as a new player at all.

I personally hope there is some sense on doing each specialization on a different character (or, at least, no penalty for doing so). I am an altaholic, and professions were some of my greatest fun in WoW, so I would like that to spice up my character building experience.
