Well, my persona opinion is that there is a lot of spammers on this forum, and they're not being controlled all that well... they destroy this forum. Avatars allow us to single out spammers visually, so when we read a topic we check all the avatars of the cool people we know and we know their posts are worth reading. Gives an incentive to read and to post.
It's all psychology.

Which is not a problem. First of all, it doesn't happen that much, nowhere where I posted. Second of all, mods are there to control spam...Quote from "LinkX" »My main problem with anything having a requirement about posts is that it pushes people to spam to get whatever it is. -

It usually can't happen since spam post simply get deleted. As long as that is insured, post quality is not endangered.Quote from "Siaynoq" »I rarely see it actually happening on other forums. -

Dec 9, 2008Equinox posted a message on Avatars Return to DiabloFans.comInteresting. I remember looking at a thread where Elfen posted today morning. I vaguely went over Elfen's post. He had an avatar. I knew something was wrong. But I didn't understand what...Posted in: News
Now I get it. He has an avatar... we have avatars! WOOT! -

That's highly improbable due to the nature of a development cycle.Quote from "Dimebog" »They haven't been working on other acts at all.
It's not from anywhere. It may use certain doodads that will be in the first act, but actually it was specifically made for the gameplay trailer.Quote from "Dimebog" »- The dungeon is from the first act.
Just correcting you since you're in such a hurry to show off how much you (don't) know.Quote from "Dimebog" »Just bringing you up to speed since you don't seem to have been reading any news. -

Having him raise his feet a bit on the bricks requires pretty complex model position computations... I could live without it. It does look sloppy, but it's not an easy thing to integrate.Quote from "simon2909" »Yeah i totally agree, one thing that disturbed me in the demo was that they kinda walked right through some bricks. -

I thought his manner was what made it awesome.Quote from "Ivaron" »Well, he has some valid points. I just wish he wouldn't have said them in such an idiotic manner. -

You should meet my AP English Literature teacher. You know what she would say about that "evidence"? She'd give you a big fat F.Quote from "arcturius70" »Evidence for this happenning is the new tool bar at the bottom of the screen. -

I don't remember who was it, but someone on the forum stated the opinion that the demo was not made to show the graphics, but to show the game in general, and they deliberately avoided showing the best areas they had.Quote from "VegasRage" »...just maybe the demo was an anomalous bad selection of environments which chapped folks like me and the rest of the game will be what we all hoped for and I'll eat my hat at the end of the day.
And no one knows what did Blizzard wanted to achieve with this demo.Quote from "VegasRage" »...but I don't think so, the demo was a well planned showcase of what Blizzard wanted to show.
I begrudge the Diablo II art direction. I hate it. What's your point?Quote from "VegasRage" »however I think you may find there may be many of us still begrudging the art direction even as we play it. -

@Jawis
I think the bug is still there but the servers are down, possibly to fix this very bug.

Should Blizz ban anyone for this? No. But, really, let's not pretend you didn't know you were not doing something that wasn't intended. If they gave a link on battle.net for you to dl the beta I'd agree. But if you went out of your way to dl the beta from I don't know where, no.

(i) You are designated by Blizzard as a Tester;"
My point is that it's not the client from Blizzard, i.e., they don't give it to you to download from their website, hence I "don't know" about it.
There's quite a bit stuff out there if you are into downloading non-Blizzard stuff, you know. More accessible than this. So if you're up for dling stuff that's not given to you by Blizzard I don't get why you are not playing the beta already.
The stuff in parenthesis - yes, exactly.

I thought this was an error on Blizzard's part. Now I see why you're all worrying about the TOS...

"Oh, hey, so should I rush through this or what?"

I don't see Blizz banning too much since that effectively loses them money and it's pointless in this case.

looool that's an interesting game idea they had there.

It always had a special place in my heart.
I'm kinda neutral on the armor designs atm. Could be better, but w/e.

I don't believe there's anything in the game actually called "Thorns". I'm borrowing the term from DII, mostly.

Overpower with Crushing Advance apparently reflects 30% damage for 4 seconds. This seems to be nonstackable, though, so I don't know if it's effective, really. And Frenzy with Triumph also heals you for maximum life. Hmm: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WhVQkR!bVe!Zcbcbc
I have a feeling some of this stuff is gonna get rebalanced.
