Well thas because your slow time is just reduced cooldown runed with no crit mass or evocation to go with.
My slow time speeds up attack speed do get more crit mass procs.
Your build is very much different chap. You would need diamond skin included to make it similar. Diamond skin is what mine relies on.
Mine also relies on the passives that allow the cooldowns to be up as often as allowable.

In my initial build if I switched to the crystalized ice armor as you have it would be even more difficult to take down I imagine, but more susceptible to a couple of immense hits.

Yeah you really should remove slow time for that type of build it looks completely out of place.
And yep Enduring Diamond skin would make you die hard as it gets.

This wiz has 3 friends and intends to crit as much as possible to keep everything frozen and keep his troops on hand.
He and his friends should all have increased attack speed, his spectral blade should do quite impressive damage and add two damage over times to all targets.
    Keep frosty troopers.

Hmm nah can't see any real point to this with the numbers it does in damage, just doesn't deserve a spell slot.
This and it's pal Explosive Blast seem incredibly pointless abilities at the moment.

funny build, really hope its possible with this kind of build in higher difficulties too!
Well it's pretty dang sturdy, ya crit and lower the diamond skin cooldown, the diamond skin effect lasts 9 of the reduced to 12 seconds cooldown, freeze 5 things and for 12 secs you crit 30% more, your spec blade hits 3 times and sets up bleeds on each target to get more crits. Your slow time speeds up your attack speed and most of your spells are cooldown based and are getting reduced. Your healing each second as well as having increased armor and can't take more then 38% damage per hit. If your health is low it would take a fair lot of quick attacks to kill ya with the incoming heal and diamond absorb specially since your freezing and slowing time on your opponents..
Depending on how often critical mass works for ya things could get very interesting in the way of frost nova and wave of force if the energy armor seems over the top I'd even sub in Mirror Image again just for some more cooldown spell fun.

    http://us.battle.net...ScVT!hbT!ZaaZYZ
This might be fun, wave of force would hit pretty hard too.
Ya would just use whatevers not on cooldown and hit spectral.
Well now they've trashed all the builds.

Yes they should have, because they were or never did exist.
Precision and dexterity meant nothing different pretty much.
Reductions exist in different manners, there is no need to screw about now.

First change Shock Pulse to Electrocute, why? Electrocute will hit 100% and restore AP
Second, did you consider that Slow Time only lasts 10sec, while the cooldown on it is 20sec?
This will leave you with absolutely no defense for 10sec's!
Since the Mirror Images only have 25% of your Life, i don't count them as defense.
Also consider that Arcane Orb, even though it's damage is huge, it explodes on the first target it hit's.
Now a wall of Skeletons can block off your way to hit the ranged casters, as you have no way to approach them to hit them with the Orb.
Ofc you could stand still for 1-2sec and cast Arcane Torrent, but i doubt the enemies will stand still aswell, and because you have no defense, you could die in that splitsecond of standing.
So in your scenario your suggesting that I run up to a row of skeleton archers/caster while not having slow time available and just stand there? I don't know where you get this idea from that you should have your skills set up for imaginary environments that aren't right in front of you.
This video of skills is what I'm taking from I don't see how I can't move as soon as torrent ticks once and is on its way move then lob orbs with my 6 secs of extra damage, and I don't see how my targets aren't dead by the time I've spammed off my orbs while they are in slow time. I'm not about to be going hey my cooldowns aren't available, hey yeah I'll just bolt up to this huge mob of imposing monsters and stand still. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ua_hBjv2Nf0
Crit mass reduces cooldowns on slow time and mirror image, runed orb hits a huge area and has a massive range.
Shock pulse or electrocute doesn't matter, nor do I care what you count as defense considering you think everything one shots you it seems quite ridiculous that you also don't think a decoy is defense especially things that are doing damage.

If I want to tank something I'm 15 seconds away from doing this in order to replenish my AP then switching back with a full tank, http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#dZSTVQ!Ubd!bbaZYc
Good luck to whatever wants to kill that.
You never stand still when it means taking damage this is wizard, dealing damage is secondary and I'm not going to half ass being a hybrid I'm going to be a tank or a blitzer, someone else can hold the frontline when I'm not tanked up.

Bah the coolest thing in any game so far to insert into your gear was monster specific cards each with a unique attribute.
This is ragnorak onlines gimmick and this game is still kicking and expanding.
Nothing cooler then mob specific rare items to farm for a specific thing you wanted on your item.

the monk is more about helping the party.
    No.

Then explain to me why he has a heal spell the heals the party and an aura to help the party?
So he/she can if he/she wants to, this doesn't mean he/she has to or will.

I do doubt we will be having this "heal please" situation in D3.

Some people might enjoy being a healer I guess, but really the way the games set out doesn't seem like someones going to be a dedicated direct healer/support class especially when the heals require attacking to cast as well as dropping offensive potency.

Warhammer Online had this type of class, they were quite unkillable 1 v 1 and 1v 2 at times then the game was not designed to be balanced in that manner as really if you can cast a spell that heals you for 300% of the damage your dealing to a player who cant heal every 8 secs and HoT yourself in between 1v1 and 1v2 non-healers are going to have a bit of trouble.

posted a message on Compare DH to Amazons.
The Demon Hunter wears a scarf, that's the main draw to it I would think.
It lulls you in to thinking, hey this class is a bit debonair and devil may care going into a fight with something already wrapped around it's neck.
It also leaves you with the sense hey this thing could be lame in the beginning like the ragnarok online archer due of course to the scarf similarity of the two, then develop into something slightly less scarfed yet still typically unplayable in PVP.
Owing to this scarf though comes the possibility that the male Demon Hunter much like the male archer might have similar weaknesses, to which if someone was to turn off their safe search when looking for an image of the 'ragnarok online archer' they would find their weakness.
There are a very few types of men that wear scarfs, the cold-necked, vintage era pilots being one that comes to mind, the other that comes to mind are the fellas that enjoy a good show toon. Total bros those guys.
The similarity of it to the Amazon perhaps might be a desire to wear such sparkling outfits.

In case it isn't glaringly obvious the standard :P will go here.

Seriously. This "no hate" "I respect your opinion, but" politically correct fakery is over the top in some of this thread.
Perhaps speak your point be less pandering and insinuative, the transparent sugar coating on half these posts is subtly giving people diabetes.

How many threads must be repeating the same poor me I want others to be restricted to the same gamestyle as a different game in this new game.
You may as well be saying like another article that Diablo 3 should be a FPS like Borderlands, as that is analogous to this line of thought. It isn't the other game, it isn't going to be purchase or don't purchase as Torchlight 2 makers made Diablo if you want a rehash there is your golden goose run along to it not many are going to be sad to see the special needs brigade jump ship.
Runic sure doesn't care that they aren't under the Diablo title for their games, that some do tells more about those people then anything else.

    2) I havent spoken about character customization I my post, neither have I mentioned skill points. I have mentioned character planning, which is a higher arching concept. You are just repeating what blizzard told you to repeat. Character planning is that wonderful thing, where before you start the game, you imagine your playthrough, and then you procede to implement it inside the game, enjoying seeing your character get stronger and stronger, not because the game automatically makes you stronger, but because you planned it that way. It is your baby and you are growing it. Inside D3 this is impossible. It is streamlined, you get to pick all the skills and use the strongest at each level, and the item drops are random, except when you decide to use AH ( see what I mean).

And you delete (kill your baby), when you find out your planning wasn't that good, because you didn't know what it is like in hell or inferno. And then start over.

No thanks I prefer freedom and a situation oriented planning.

PlugY was the most popular mod, for Diablo 2, for one simple reason. You could reset your skills.
Almost everyone wanted that, and now that is Blizzard who is giving you that option, everyone start complaining.

And what's the problem with the AH? Diablo is mostly a single and co-op game why does it bother you if someone spends thousands of dollars for gearing up?

For both skill reset and AH, if you don't like it don't use it. It’s as simple as that.

I think you'll find it's not everyone and that in fact it's about the same 4 names littering every thread with the same story.

So why did the game last more then 10 years if it was not correct ?
There is no correct, there is only stylized elements of design with their freedoms and limitations.
You like closed off unilateral restriction, others prefer more liberty to do as they choose and thankfully those people are the majority that aren't in love with being caged because it's what feels safe to the nostalgic fringe.

Hey this is another game in production currently, it is very similar to Diablo 3.
The original version of the game was similar as well however it is an MMO.
The current isometric graphics don't seem to be very much improved on by this as well as in Lineage Eternal. It would seem high production Isometric looks are inescapably similar.

Lineage Eternal has even seemingly an identical skill to arcane torrent
You will see it in their gameplay trailer.

Yah its sort of like those guys who get their jollys off by being beaten, they want blizz to be their dominatrix.
Punish me blizz, Punish me!!! OHH yah I've been a very bad boy, Ill reroll that toon.

You know games are defined by rules so your statement is retarded, that works with every rule from every game or anything. Of course games punish you because that`s the point of the word game, choices and consequences.

How can you defend D3 really you know this game has a level cap of 60 ? Blizz is punishing you with level cap !!! also Blizz is punishing you by choosing a class before joining a game !!!!

By the way this fansite is punishing you to register an account if you want to post omfg the horror, lack of logic fails you all the time jaclashflash as i have seen in last posts.
You and logic are not friends, you are not even remote acquaintances.
What is punishment is subjective, to those conditioned to enjoy a scenario considered a punishment the consequence is obviously something they enjoy and so hardly a punishment. When you view what someone writes they define the meanings of the spirit of their message not you, if you fail at comprehension ask for clarification.
But then it seems you prefer to wade into trolling waters by use of semantics, comprehension failure as your vaulting point.

If you don't enjoy something don't do it, use your imagination create your own consequences.
Limiting the playing field of possibility so your idea of what should be the rules stands for everyone is immensely fascist egocentric and petty.

Look all around at others for the problem yet never to the impulses compelling you.
Love of slavery for fear of free creative responsibility and innovative equality, love of security for fear of change and nostalgia, need to feel different above or superior to others due to feeling lack of power for lack of confidence gained in achievements and aesthetic insecurity over how such achievements are perceived.

Buying a key for an account is buying 10 slots.
Noone need conform to fringe obsessives insecurity based needs.
This is not D2. Graphically enhanced versions of old games are a cop-out, FPS games is what your looking for, for this.
All accounts are online, trainers are not available to edit in single player. It is not in the publishers interest to cater to the lunatic fringe it is in fact in their interest to allow as open ended jump in game play as possible in order to facilitate the RMAH keeping the game funded.
To pretend through bi-partisan extreme absolutism that masochism isn't what some of you are conditioned to enjoy is nonsense.
