"When the PvP patch is ultimately ready, it will add multiple Arena maps with themed locations and layouts, PvP-centric achievements, and a matchmaking system that will help you and your team get into fairly matched games quickly and easily. as u can see they didn't mentioned pvp items - so if there might be any pvp items i will guess next expansion the earliest. as much as i believe they said they didn't want to focus alot in pvp in D3 when it comes to balance( which means pvp items also need some kind of balancing), they r a dynamic company and they might think differently in the future( tho i don't think u should count on it in the next year or so).
personally i am not much of a pvp fan so either way i don't mind much - but i thought u guys should see this info,
i remember when i was visiting Croatia and Slovenia i was in a mall in Slovenia which had a game store there...mayB u can preorder from there and get it or mayB there is some kind of shipping between ur 2 countries.
was 2 years ago so i don't know if it's still there or if i remember correctly - tho u should look it up.
i agree there can be a prob - tho mayB u start an arena with full spirit than use stun so u can use some fast generator like fist of thunder to get some of the spirit back or focus ur gear on movement speed and spirit regan.
also the rune fists of fury(way of the hundred fists) give u abit of dash tho we can't know what is that short distance mean rly :).
well u can see that those shots r auto targeting which means u always hit some thing or anything in the room. plus i think u underestimated the mobility value of this ability - true u got vault but that cost discipline which got longer regan.
tho i believe this ability for farming low lvl acts or if u got a very good weapon on u will not use anything else :). true that an ability shouldn't be focused on low lvl farming but as i said it got it's advantages even in higher lvls.
let me give u an example from D2 - 1 of the most annoying mobs(imho) r the imps in act 5 that teleport - if there r those kind of mobs in D3( which i believe there r something similar), this ability will work wonders with them.
every1 with their own opinion and gameplay style and this is my opinion
the problem here is not their politically correct phrases of release date(they don't want to get sued or what ever if they say a date and can't make it - and by that fall to pressure and politics) - it's the fact they share their development process with their fans - and cuz of that ppl get excited and hyped and technically "know" whats going on with the game - which gives the fans "some" power over the development.
the question is whats better? never know a thing about the game and get it when it released or be some what involved in the development and by that getting frustrated cuz of the delays.
sadly i don't have an answer for that question - both situations got advantages and disadvantages and it comes down to personnel preference for every fan out there.
they can't please every1 and they believe it's important for the fans to know whats going on - so u guys can blame their philosophy on that aspect but they r trying their best and i respect their decision - which shows they do care about their fan base and the fan base opinions.
trying to bring a different perspective on the discussion - hopefully i helped.
well there will always be a better/geared player and worse/less geared player(1 of the points of customization, tho if match making is through gear than it's more or less even), now the chances some will have gear so bad that all his stats r not beneficial to grp it's slim, and the only disadvantage is or he goes some where else or he slack when it comes to pace or he doesn't play his char good. now if he is trying but still not so good other ppl will leave(cuz he is a "leecher") and not give him a chance to try or if bliz will give tools to deal with "leechers" like him he will get removed and thats anti social, or on the other hand if that player is so good he can kill by himself mobs in a 4 man grp and he will stay away from grp which is a disadvantage cuz he doesn't help with killing and make other mobs harder to kill atleast his gold, magic find and xp is shared so he some what helps the grp( some ppl will be leechers not because they suck, it's because he is so good he goes by himself and every1 have a hard time killing) so technically dps is also shared by the fact each kill whether u help killing it or not, u got loot and xp from it(if u were in close proximity to the kill).
so imo they did a good choice to share those spacific stats and not give tools to leader or whoever which can grif ppl or by removing them cuz they don't have the right set of skills on a specific class or don't play good enough or the stats on gear isn't optimal - or he used that guy to get to a specific location and now he wants all the glory/loot so he remove other ppl or that 1 person so he have easier time to kill that boss to get the there.
ofc any decision by dev team there will be disadvantages and advantages or ppl abuse it in any way. but out of past experience on their part they took the best decision they could make( like from WoW around sharing loot and removing ppl in grp or from D2 also about sharing loot and mf leechers or any kind of leechers).
just my opinion tho - hopefully i mange to help the discussion.
well imho cuz we r talking about co-op/rpg game than every1 have some beneficial role of the grp - 1 does insane dmg but got less survivability 2 do good dps but got some survivability and 1 got MF.
now ofc ppl would like to be smart enough and skilled enough to have good dps and survivablity and MF - so those guys can go solo if they don't want to feel used or before hand take into account that u prefer to play co-op so u invest in Mf a little bit (and hopefully u will be in a grp which every1 have abit of MF so it avrage out).
sadly it's not a prefect world so every change bliz will do to try and improve the game in any aspect will have advantages and disadvantages and ofc ppl that like the change and ppl that don't(nothing we can do about it).
now i think they choose the better of 2 evils - cuz in the old system u will always have leechers and u get nothing so ppl will just get used to it or leave the grp . and now u have less leeching cuz if the grp doesn't survive or doesn't kill fast enough the leecher will leave cuz not only it's slow he gets less good gear and ppl who would like to go co-op will sacrifice mf for surviving and if the leecher wants all the mf to himself he will go solo and he will see he doesn't survive good enough or doesn't kill mobs fast enough.
so thats my opinion on the subject - hopefully i mange to lighten the angry abit for ppl which prefer the old system
well i think u should consider what type of personalty and beliefs u want to hear in the dialog and interaction with the followers. mayB that can lower ur list of chars...cuz as u know every class has different personality and cuz of that react differently in a certain areas and with the conversation with each follower.
also u need to write down the advantages and disadvantages of each class and think of the gameplay of each.
everything is a speculation now but i will say what i think each class focus on when it comes to gameplay.
barb: first line of attack, in ur face kinda char that have some dmg mitigation and healing by doing dmg.
monk: more strategic positioning and think before act(or while in the fight) that go for key mobs and evasion defense - trying to avoid getting hit.
WD: stay away from mobs by using pets and alot of cc and doing dmg from afar or while the mob is not focused on u.
as u may see i like the monk the most - but i tried to be as objective as i can.
hopefully i mange to help ur decision and see u in game
i don't know if these 2 things were in the other patchs but i will point them out if they weren't:
- u can "loot" a decaying fallen shaman in the den of the fallen dungeon
-there was in the cathedral a place where u enter a room and there is some kind of conjurer near a book stand that have about 2 sentences of dialog than he attacks u and he is an epic(purple) mob.
-another room in the cathedral where u can loot black mashrooms.
-there is a small event area where u "loot" a dead villager near a small fenced graveyard with 4-5 graves and 4-5 mobs raise from the ground.
well i think u should consider to have 1 or 2 skills which knock mobs back so u won't be overwhelmed...cuz as a throw barb u need to keep ur distance.
u can use :
-wrath of the breserker with arreat's wail rune
-seismic slam with shattered ground rune
-ground stamp with avalanche rune
-revenge with grudge rune
-ignore pain with bravado rune
just my opinion - tho do what ever u think u will enjoy best
well i enjoy the look in both cases so...although as much as i like the looks - i will just take the better setup even if it's a shield and a sword or a spear and a dagger or a 2h polearm. tho sadly...if u want to see imba animation for the weapons u need to use auto attack cuz every other attack doesn't have an animation. and cuz of the new rune system u can't have a button for auto attack so u just have to press on a spirit spender while u don't have spirit so u can see the animation :(.
true that the CD argument r not as satisfactory cuz there r all kind of 2 mins CDs skills in this game which might not do that much dmg but still it's easily avoided :).
