Isn't the crown a guaranteed drop from Leoric in Campaign Mode at 20? If so, I would rather save those Blood Shards for other slots, since it doesn't take long to reach Leoric in Campaign Mode.
If his drop doesn't have a socket I think you can add one to it.
I know it's expensive, but it would be cool to see you follow up videos like this with the reforge legendary recipe, just to see how you fair on getting an ancient.
So, I ended up adding the gift to my Ancient Golden Flense and switched over to my 6 piece Roland's gear and a Shield Bash build. Loving it!
I haven't had a chance to try a GRift yet, but for normal Rifts/Bounties I went from 25-30 million crits to 400+ million - 1.4+ billion crits. Such a huge upgrade!
Still need to optimize most gear, but it's a start.
I'll give it a try tomorrow. Gonna gamble for my last piece of Roland's too. I already have a RoRG equipped, as well as a CoE. I may swap the RoRG out for a nice SoJ I have until I get a better F&R.
So roll the 10% back to a socket. It will still be better than than your FotF because 1. It will still have 200 something DPS higher and 2. It's ancient(so has a lot more Str and it even has LoH, something you'll need in higher rifts. Rolling back to a socket, it's barely worse than my Warmonger and I can do upper 40's.
If you have a RoRG go ahead and use it until you get your 6th piece of Roalnd's, you'll be clearing 40's in no time.
So, do you think changing the 10% back to a socket and the fact that's it's an ancient would make up for the loss of the 2 extra beams from Heaven's Fury? I think each of those extra beams do the un-runed skill damage of 1710% over 6 seconds, right?
You can even use that spark, just re-roll a socket into it.
Well, I've already rolled off something for 10% damage, which means I'd have to apply a gift, which you recommended I not do.
If I had 5-10 gifts I wouldn't hesitate to use one, but this is only the 3rd once I've ever found, so I really only want to use them on a great weapon.
Thanks. Roland's is actually the direction I want to go. So far I have 5 pieces of Rolands, but only 2 or 3 are ancient. I also have the Drakon's bracer, too.
Never seen a Furnace drop and had only 1 or 2 non-ancient Blood Brother's drop. Getting a decent weapon is proving to be the hardest thing.
...but, try as I might, I can't seem to get an ancient Fate of the Fell to drop, let alone some other ancient 2-handed flail, like The Mortal Drama, so I can try another build.
Currently I can breeze through T6, but can't break GRift level 29. I know my gear isn't optimized, mainly to only recently playing my Crusader again, but I was wondering about switching to an ancient 2-handed instead of sticking with my current Fate of the Fell.

I rolled the old socket into 10% damage and have a single gift I could apply to it, but I was curious if losing the 2 additional rays of Heaven's Fury would be worth the dps increase the Spark would give me, even though it has a "meh" legendary effect?
Comparing the weapons without the emerald in the FotF, I would gain 17% damage, 1.2% toughness and 219% recovery.
My gut is telling me to swap to the Spark and hope I get an Ancient FotF, Mortal Drama or Furnace to drop, but I really hate wasting a gift, especially since I've only seen 3 drop since season 2 started, whenever that was.

They should keep track of how many would have dropped from all the Champ and Rare packs you killed in Greater Rifts and let those drop from the RG.

Question, on jewelry, would +% elemental damage be better than main stat?
For example, if I had an amulet with 20% cold damage, CHC, CHD and a socket, would it be better to keep the 20% cold damage or change it to str?

I'll probably never use it though, since I'm after either an ancient Fate of the Fell or Mortal Drama, which I can't find to save my life.
