It still works 10% until level 69. I was using life steal in beta until level 67/68. The reason why I didn't work after that point was just that I entered a new area where enemies started to hit like a truck
Added that part to the FAQ, btw. I'll become super lazy and just link everyone to it. More playtime for all of us
first off, thank you for this answer. solid. and for my next question , maybe im lazy to be looking around for this answer ..but does the same mentality apply to attack speed, crit chance, and crit damage? ... for instance i still play somewhat of a tonrnado build with my new ass stomping LUT SOCKs... which is by far the only "build changing" / Game changing legendary I have found in 2.0.... anyhow is tornado damage still affected by your offhand wep? or is this all different now too?.... i mean i notice the difference in fury generation...but is attack damage nerfed too.... it seems like it
Wait... So LS on weps is useless or is it just less useful. If you look at your character stats when removing a LS wep it lowers your overall LS. If I am wrong is there a list out there that shows you these changes / new caps?
as a veteran of D1, D2, and D3 .... will d3's xpac do what it did for d2 when d2's LoD came out?.... or is this a lost cause?... for those that are quick to judge...check my posts from d3 closed beta days, if you had access... believe you me i am a real fan. I am apart of a culture that made this game what it is today. which sadly is a dying if not dead breed.
People who are stuck in D1/D2/D2LOD land need to realize those days are gone. D3 will NEVER be like them. Either let go, or go back to playing them only.
I too have played from D1-D3. Still have all my CD's. Still play them from time to time. But I know that as a franchise, Diablo HAS to change to survive. If your wanting D2 with better graphics, your SooL.
RoS brings many quality changes. Some well received, other not. If it will be a hit or not, only time, and numbers, will tell.
This is the black and white of it. - numbers meaning "money" of course... I came to the realization that my nostalgia condemns anything after LoD... i mean i played and enjoyed that game for the better part of 8 years ... The shame of it is, for me, is watching the evolution of this game spiral downwards... Simply put, I dont like console games like Cod or Battlefield and the xpac changes, from what i can see thus far, dont make me want to even give it another shot... peace out guys

It's hard to believe that a game centered around loot STILL has broken itemization. That being said, if fans like EDRY can come up with something as awesome as this, why cant blizzard?
Something like this could breathe new life into this franchise. Hopefully we can see it SOONER than later...
Lately there has been talk about once again changing legendaries and other items in order to filter out some of the crap. By making the items better and lowering the drop rates, the idea in once more being excited when a legendary drops is a nice idea.
But how about something different. Leave Legendaries the way the are now, potentially awesome, but usually not. And add a set of ultra rare, but extremely powerful gear called Mythic gear. Mythic gear is high stat extremely strong gear that is account bound an cannot be used in pvp. One-handed mythics would not roll below 1000dps and could roll up to 1700. two handers would cap at 2400. Stats on armor mythic's would be between 250-450.
I mean that's just whatever numbers, but the idea is that they would be items that you wouldn't find very often. (Maybe 1 in 20 Act 3 clears, for example) But when they do drop and you get the blue beam, you'd be excited. While randomness of stats still might sadden you as you get a 400int shoulder while playing your barb, there is still a much higher chance of getting yourself or and alt something worth equiping.
Probably a stupid idea.
but I just wanted to get it out there.
You should post it on the main forum and get BLUE attension
2 chances of that : 1) SLIM and 2) NONE .... slim left town
Not stupid, but old and similar to other ideas that; like smoke, have dissipated into thin air. Going to have to continue to wait for itemization changes. I suggest you don't hold your breath
It's not very likely they did ninja nerfs. Your "feeling" and tinfoil hat is what makes you think you have a harder time keeping up wrath. I'm very sure that if they adjust something, it is either in the patchnotes, announced by a bluepost or in a hotfix. Spend more time improving your gameplay skills than wonder if ToC was nerfed.
I take offense to the tin foil comment. I think its a pretty legitimate assumption considering how much talk is floating about concerning WOTB being so OP and all of the bugs that have seemingly come with this patch. Also, im pretty sure that you or I will never know ALL of the changes that go into a patch. Im sure an adjustment here or there has made it into the game without your knowledge of it.
No offense, I'm sure you know this already, but you know that if your fury globe is full that you aren't "gaining fury" and not extending WotB right?
None taken, and yes I am aware of this.... Typically I had no trouble staying in WoTB before the patch with fewer monsters...now with more monsters it is harder is what im saying...
This is your problem, I'm sure - noticed it too. With all the extra mobs, it's easy to forget to dump Fury quickly enough and as a result you run around with a full Fury globe which means you're not extending the timer on WoTB.
Try to spam Battle Rage more to dump more Fury, you'll see that it becomes much easier than it was before.

I know I saw that a blue on the main site had stated that CM and WotB was something they were looking at but weren't going to address in this patch. I haven't seen any data-mining information that would suggest a change was made to WotB.
The alt thing is odd. I changed mine to the on/off in the options.

Having played my barb for 1022 hrs (to PL100), I think it is safe to say I have a pretty good feel for his cooldowns and such...that being said apparently all of the complaints about WOTB being too strong have gotten the attention of blizzards devs. I find it about 50% harder to keep up WTOB now / after 1.08 which should, considering there is more monsters now, is opposite of how it should play....anyone else notice this???
Also as a side note.... I now have to hold ALT to see the items on the ground after they have disappeared when b4 i could just press it to get them to appear for a few more seconds.... Not a huge deal but does make it a bit more difficult to play at a quicker pace.
