Thank you, Spinley. I'd give ya a +2 but I can't :Thumbs Up:

I've been curious what the changes were like and this summed it up quick and complete.

Blizz did a good job here, lots of helpful little quality of life changes that were needed.

Still.....11 months....I cannot believe we had to individually ID these items for 11 months. Just wow that it took soooo long.

I'm really looking forward to the itemization changes that will come later, after this patch. I really want to upgrade my monk. I'm sitting on 300 million (a lot for a scrub like me) but I refuse to spend any significant amount of gold until the itemization patch. I have a feeling that many are doing the same, which may be having a hidden effect on the economy.

    I can yours plus mine +2 ;)

Cheating is unacceptable any way you slice it. But it will always exist. You cannot let that be a determining factor for rewarding an honest player.

^ aesthetic bonuses would be fine... or even something like being able to trade bound on account items once you reach PL100 would be cool. :Thumbs Up:

How about letting us have 2 followers accompany us, with full bonuses for having both of them in our party!!!

I think it would be nice if we could fully gear them...one of them at least

I think when you reach pl100 you receive a scroll of resistance.... for a plus 200 RA as a perm bonus on one character.

Maybe a boost in Movement speed to cap at 50% instead of 24%...that'd be nice too

A new tier set I can transmogrify. New, unique one.

What is transmogrify? I never played WoW...I think that is where that term came from right?

Just thought I'd start a topic to see what you guys think would be a cool bonus for reaching PL 100. (other than what is given already of course)

I personally would like to see an extra active and passive skill unlocked... I think this could be game changing.

Being a WW barb I think being able to Leap or use Rend would make for some fun...heck maybe even having call of the ancients along with my current build could be sweet!!!

Both of these guys clearly have a lot of knowledge but I don't feel like they represent the core of DiabloFANS. I'd much rather hear what the mods on this site have to say then these two know it alls.

At the end of the day, my loyalty will stay with D3....but i swear PoE is becoming more and more intriguing. It seems like the devs for that game sit around and listen to us here on this forum and try and fix all based off of what we say we want changed in D3. Constant new content, big changes, and a general sense that they are making the game for their players and not for themselves.... Boy that would be a nice feeling if Blizzard was humbled enough to appreciate that.

Right now it feels like itemization is so far gone there is no chance to save it without shifting focus to something else...unrelated like pony land.

Continually, i post here to only hear that im not being constructive enough. Well, im sorry but after reading the "answers" to ask the devs part 2 I am only left shaking my head....

Why did it take them 2 or more weeks to beat around the bush and say that to "fix" a "bug" would break the game even more.... Is it me or does "fix" and "bug" reflect the fact that they are now admitting they made mistakes, but dont know how to fix them....

sorry for the rage, its hard to be constructive.... look at the official forum if you think im the minority here.... http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/8569308133?page=1

It still all seems to me to be nonsensical arguments. It's a game that has lost your affection due to some "simple and (in your opinion) broken" mechanics. I feel that after listening to your arguments, that you have for yourself created a straw man argument against the game and perhaps it is not the straw that broke the camel’s back but your hopes and aspirations for the game that have not come to full fruition. Maybe in time these hopes will come to pass but to blame your quitting of a game on simple mechanics and, as you would say, a bunch of small issues adding up to a ton of straw... seems a little silly. Sometimes when you have a fondness for something you have to take the good with the bad. The issues you have brought up certainly could be addressed to better fit your desires for the game but to quit because of them shows a pettier attitude than a true diehard desire to slog it through.

    Let me make myself clear.

I have been repelling lots of pressure to try PoE by some of my long-time gaming friends. Lots of pressure. I don't want to try PoE, frankly, because I am a diehard Diablo fan. I don't want to try PoE because in some odd way, I'm afraid that it'll drive me away from D3 more-so than I am now.

I honestly feel this game has explosive potential. Nobody should need to explain the "why" of quitting (though I haven't quit, just taking a break). When a player logs into a game and they find themselves logging out within minutes, something has turned the player off.

The issues I've discussed in this thread aren't game-breaking, deal-breaking fundamental flaws. They are simple fixes. Itemization, that issue has been game-breaking, deal-breaking for me. Itemization has no complexity. Vanilla is the flavor and I'm bored with it.

If itemization gets turned around, which I've seen plenty of indicators that it will, these "straws" I've described wouldn't bother me enough to cause me to quit. You're right, these issues shouldn't give cause for anyone to quit unless they were cynical asshats.

I tried to slog through like a diehard fan. Actually, I intend to continue to do so. I just need a break until itemization is fixed. The good news is, by the time this happens, all these other ancillary issues will have been resolved. That's what I love about Blizz. They communicate with the players, otherwise, I'd have quit this game and deemed it a failure by now. They've put it out there....everything I've complained about has been confirmed by Blizz as a problem.

Honestly this explains me to a T. 100% agree and 100% in the same boat. Sadly, with 2 young children and a full time job I dont have much time to play video games anymore, but when I do my loyalty lies here. I love playing, the memories, and the friends I have made while playing this Series. HOPE

I get the reason for a PTR. I just dont think its necessary for ALL, especially small patches... 1.08 with what is stated to be in it seems like a hot fix- not a reason for 5-6 week patch delay.
