posted a message on Thanks for nothing Blizzard
This has to be the stupidest topic I've ever seen. There are so many things wrong with the OP that I hardly know where to start.

First, I will admit that the forced internet connection aspect is an understandable and completely acceptable gripe. While it doesn't bother me personally, I do see the point of your argument. Having an offline single player with no AH access would solve a lot of issues, especially launch related ones where I imagine at least 75% of people are basically playing single player anyway.

I understand the counter argument is security against exploits, considering there is an AH and RMAH. I think a preferable solution would just be to have offline content have no way of interacting with online content. That's obviously not the direction they went, so.. meh, so be it.

Everything beyond that in the post was complete non-sense though. Blizzard at fault because the servers didn't perform 100% perfect during a staggered WORLDWIDE launch where hundreds of thousands of people were basically making hundreds of thousands of games to play single player in? - LOL.

While in a perfect world, it would all have gone off without a hitch the truth of the matter is that is a very unrealistic expectation to have. You may be ignorant to how the internet and servers work, but even with the launch of a game half this size there are going to be issues that arise.

Your comment that Blizzard was "built" on MMOs is also false. They earned their reputation with single/multiplayer games. Back to that in a second though - assuming for a moment that comment was true, do you not think that would be credit for why things went as smooth as they did?

Perfect? No. Resolved quickly (especially considering the backass nature of tech/internet troubleshooting)? Hell yes.

But alas, Blizzard is not the house that MMOs built. WC 1, 2 and 3, Starcraft 1 and 2, Diablo 1, 2 and 3 and expansions vs 1 MMO (WoW + expansions).

So at the end of the day what I see is a lot of whining by someone with a raging case of entitlement. You think having a job, kid/s, and wife makes you some kind of martyr? lawl. I don't even get paid vacation days and yet you're complaining about what ultimately was a paid day of relaxation for you?

    Suck it up, buttercup.
