The damages aren't that comparable like others have said.
Lets say you have 100 weapon damage. Gargantuan normally does 25 damage, with restless giant it's +200%, which means the damage is 3x higher, in other words 75 (+100% = 2x, +200% = 3x). Gargantuan with wrathful protector does 55 damage. In this example, Restless giant does ~36% more damage than wrathful protector (75/55 = 1,3636).
I was going to say "none of you considers the level requirement", but then I noticed that you get wrathful protector 10 levels later than restless giant. I wouldn't say this is an useless rune, but it definitely requires a certain type of build to make it more viable, while restless giant fits better to most builds.
I does not add 200% damage.. it is just "200%" damage..so damage is doubled..not tripled.
And again..we have no idea how powerful that knockback will be but it could be very useful in later difficulties.
I don't think so, the bullet points should almost be read as + signs.
For example by your reasoning, if he does 200% normal dmg instead of 200% additional dmg, than he also attacks at 35% attack speed, and moves at 20% of normal speed.
By our reasoning, he attacks an additional 35% faster, and moves an additional 20% faster.

It could be 200% wpn dmg, or it could be 75% wpn dmg.
It's hard to tell with only a bullet point format.
I would lean towards 75% since it says 200% physical dmg, instead of 200% wpn dmg as physical.
Describe a situation in which its not useless....The knockback? How do you even know which direction he is going to knock mobs back? He could very well knock them into your face.
Burst dmg is obviously in favor of Restless Giant.
Overall Dmg wise its also clearly one sided.
75% for 15 seconds + 25% FOR 105 seconds
v./s
55% for 15 seconds+ 0% for 45 seconds.
I just can't see someone making an argument for this thing...its like trying to defend magic missile -split.
Some runes just suck ass.
This is diablo odds are you are going to be fighting a room full of mobs most of the time.
So if you have 50% crit and 2 APS.
Lets say there are 5 mobs in a room, and you are aoe'ing them.
If you crit one of them, then you are just in an endless cycle of the 1 second internal CD.
Odds you don't crit ANY of them in 1 second is,
0.5^10 * 100 = 0.09765625%
ROFL!!! Yah, that passive is crap. If it procs instantly after 1 second, then you might get 3% buff out of it most of the time.
Since it was confirmed that Nephalem Valor is activated upon reaching level 60 and NOT upon reaching Inferno, does this mean we (the item horders among us at least :D) can go back to normal/nightmare to farm for the Legendaries we missed out on while leveling?
Where are you going to horde them? You only have 5 possible mules.
If you are in a group, and you have caltrops that completely stop movement for 2 seconds, and you have a shitload of stuns, then what is the point of smoke screen?
Too bad sentry is a bad joke...
Why does everyone keep bringing this thing up, though I suppose in group play you might not need your disc for anything else. I just hate this skill. if it brought the pain like hyrda then sure, but its kinda pathetic on paper.
20% is a bad joke but 28% is "bringing the pain"? I don't see your logic here..
But yeah, Sentry is one of the skills I probably won't use..
Lightning Hydra is 34% on 3 heads = 102%
Arcane Hydra is 28% in small AoE on 3 heads = 84% w/ AoE
But you can only have 1 hydra out.
Discipline could go as high as 75 in game I think, so that is potentially like 8 Sentries. Each one doing 20% wpn dmg for 30 seconds. It could definitely do some good single target dps like that. A passive could bring that up to a minute. Aid station could have the sentries heal nearby players for 1% each. With enough sentries that 1% would start to add up.
Of course this is like best case scenario on a boss fight.
In single player its probably something you should never pick.
There would be no reason to mention cast animation at all if the 1 sec window kept resetting every time you cast TP. It would be completely and utterly irrelevant.

That might be the best argument I've heard thus far to not use the templar.
Though you could always turn sound off I suppose.

I hope not. I absolutely hated that....
Grats on beating Diablo in Hel...here a nice piece of shit you wouldn't use in nightmare mode.

You won't have an army of fetishes by no means....maybe 3 if you fight constantly for an extended period of time.

Yes. I might play with monk some later, but not until that launches would I even consider it. However, I am sure it will get old very very fast.
No. I will let it die, and it will stay dead.

The wording is crystal clear this time.
