posted a message on Most Awesome Video Spoiler Ever. Diablo III Launch Update - RMAH Push Back, Blue Posts, Giveaway
    The New "Cow Level"
It looks like the time has come! A group of players have made it to the new cow level, and recorded a video of it as well. If you still don't know anything about the new "cow level" I would suggest not clicking the spoiler tag, as just the youtube video picture will spoil it.

This text is already hidden under a spoiler tag. There is no spoiler tag after this text so you already see the youtube picture.

Another point to be made is that this is a group of fully co-ordinated, skilled, dedicated and hardcore gamers who have been playing regularly since the moment of release.

Thanks Blizzard. America was never presented with this opportunity.

Oh and everyone watching the Inferno vid and raging about how fast getting there has been, note the youtube top comment:

What you don't see in this video is how they got to skeleton king. They had to have their wizard run/teleport around the dungeon levels, while freezing the mobs he couldn't bypass otherwise, looking for the entrance to the next levels. All because they kept getting schooled everytime they meet a champion/rare pack. They were able to defeat Skeleton king because he hass the same abilities on inferno as he does on normal, and thosse abilities are designed to be easy to avoid.

    not.
    wow.

    stop comparing it!

want recount to FIFA 2012 as well? <.<

Wow your attitude is just dumb... He is not comparing D3 to WoW anywhere, he is talking about a usefull tool and you should shut up a go play with the rest of the kids. You can't read bro so at least don't point it out...

the instant you bring up Recount you've brought up WoW

posted a message on Is the story of this game made for 12year olds?
i think you guys were expecting far too much...the idea of heaven vs hell is cliche alone

doesn't bother me but tbh the only game series i've played in years that actually had a story I got into was Mass Effect (yes, I hated the ending)

posted a message on Bashiok lied about character names not being displayed in-game, instead we get battle-tags everywhere !
The issue with Blizzard's backing on forced BTag display based on reputation is flawed. They only show the alpha characters of your BTag so if there are 5000 "SuperMan"s out there and 1 of them makes a name for themselves in the community as a complete dbag/troll then all the other 4999 suffer unless they mouseover every single time they meet one to find out if the 4 digits match the infamous one. Since mousing over is going to be required to get the full btag, there's really no reason why they couldn't have let btags be available on mouseover and just let char names show instead.

If you really hate or love someone you'd spend the fraction of a second mousing over information you normally aren't going to care about.

What's the point in creating a character name if no one is gonna see it but you? I'll still make cool names and what not, but it just seems silly for it not to be shown.

Who said no one else will see it? The name will be publicly displayed in limited areas but not the most popular area (under the avatar in-game).

REGARDLESS, it's besides the point, the point is.... we don't want battle-tags inside our game. We want our character names to be displayed everywhere INSIDE the game.... what else point is there to even name your character?

It defeats the purpose of having a personality or individuality for your class, your gender and your specific play-style... it's retarded and stupid :)

You put a smiley at the end of calling something retarded and stupid? Talk about irony.

Looking at your forum name I can tell you're terrible at names so personally I could care less that you're not getting what you want. If you want to RP so bad go play WoW.

posted a message on Will we be able to sell/buy characters at release?
It's going to be a pretty old post if not a quote from Blizzcon but they did say sometime AFTER release they'd like to look into selling/buying chars. I wouldn't worry too much about seeing it at launch because no one's going to have a char worth buying for a while.

Those aren't escape abilities. They're CC. What about Teleport, Spirit Walk, Sprint/leap, vault, tempest rush??

You're arguing something that makes no sense. Of course their are resistances because they're supposed to GET harder on higher difficulties. They want gear to matter so that you don't rely on all those abilities and be glass cannons while avoiding all damage.

And you are missing something. It's called the rest of the game after Skeleton King.

How does it make no sense? If you have one ability that works 50% of the time and one ability that works 100% of the time, which ability would you choose?

Why would you choose horrify over spirit walk in Inferno if Horrify works 50% of the time and spirit walk always works?

because they have completely different uses

To illustrate: Would you take an ability that did 1 DPS 100% of the time or 10000 DPS 50% of the time? Obviously at SOME point there's a line you would cross. Since Horrify and Spirit Walk are different everyone is going to have their own line to decide if 50% is worth it.
