While I like the changes i don't agree that the account bound stuff is the right thing to do. I mean if the new craftable items are like hellfire rings i can see why they want them account bound, but if they still have no guaranteed stat rolls and roll like 99% of the rares there is no point to them being only usable to my account. I was hoping that they would increase the pickup radius based on paragon level, but i guess that went out of the door. Over all looks like a step in the right direction, I just hope they take a bigger look into loot in the future.
The whole reason they're doing this is to improve the chances of finding something you can use for yourself. If the gear wasn't account bound, it would all just go up for sale and we'd be right back where we started, picking all our gear on the AH again. A guaranteed 6 affix ilvl63 rare, with a good primary stat role and on the slot of your choice, is way better odds than finding something good through loot. -

LOL, you serious? A lots of changes and new content for free. Diablo 3 patches beats every patch in any game if you ask me.
From the release, this game has improved a lot, and I have no doupts it will improve even more in the future. Thanks Bliz!
Its not perfect yet, sure. But what game is perfect from the start? Especially a game like D3, which requires a lot of balancing, you cant know for sure is some feature gonna work as intented.
Anyway, looking forward to the patch!
You must not play a lot of other CP games.......
Your statement is true, for the 80-90s. But today, there are a ton of CP games that constant improvements and patches. Even when there is no real-money involved. Blizzard is making revenue every month from this game with the RMAH, and as such, should be putting in the time and effort that is expected with any game made in todays market with a real-money feature.
You're right though, their content pacthes are a lot better than.....Mario Brothers ever had! -

Well i impressed by the patch in way, that they still working on the game. I mean, right now it feels like subscription based mmo, since in about every patch blizz add some content. I wonder how long will this going.
You must not play too many games with real-money store/commodity sales. Their are plenty of games that continue to provide content when they include some form of real-money transactions. Even PS3/Xbox games get steady content updates with map packs, cosmetic items, etc.
I'm not sure why people are acting like D3 should recieve no changes when we are steadily giving them money through the RMAH. It is very, very common in todays industry to continually improve games, and provide content.....many times even without a commodity store. But when a game includes any sort of real-money investment, even when it is only cosmetic, I think it is expected to get steady patches and content.
Especially when the intitial product fell so short of gamers expectations.
I strongly agree with you here. The standard for most games is to recieve continual improvement and patching/light content changes, even for games with NO commodity store and NO long term playability.
D3 is a game with heavy Real money trasaction, costs as much as 3 top quality steam games, and every content patch benefits their wallets. It's also a huge title with popularity behind it. Zero patching/content would be a bad idea for developers' money flow, as well as very cheap on their parts considering the amount of money this game has raked in from launch to now. (how many millions of copies sold multiplied by $60, and 7 months of raw RMAH transactions).
Please understand this is not some selfless improvement the company is doing on a waning game; they want you to buy RMAH items and that means upgrading things like gems and gear. Even if it weren't, it's simply standard in this day even for cheap games and non subscription games to receive some quality treatment from the devs after launch. They want you to stay around and buy an expansion and ultimately buy more RMAH items.
Obviously the company is a business, and they want to make money, but please don't treat them like a charity company who grinds away their free time thanklessly to improve the game for the users. -

Seems you missed the monks that pushed the record down to 36 seconds (normal) and 30 seconds (shrine and gear swap possibly).

Nope, we didn't. But the Wiz one was posted a while ago and I think he's still one of the top Wiz out there. Notice how we haven't written "record" anywhere on the posts. The videos are more to show that each class is fully capable, even if that requires some specific gear, to handle MP10 without too much worry and reach those magical million numbers.
With that said I think the Monk video is to follow, but we'll see.
We are also still looking around for records but those are broken literally twice a day and we can't have a news post full of videos or editing them in all day long.
Still, the feedback is much appreciated and we'll try our best to pick good videos and get in touch with their creators in case any details are relevant. Stay tuned! -

now going to new acts certainly should stop clearing stacks...that's just plain silly...also they should just remove the timer on the buff and leave it on until you leave your game
also a 5m grace period should keep the buff on you in case of disconnects...if you start a new game or remain disconnected for more than 5m...then clear it

The community IS actually full of children (but not all, and you can certainly find plenty of adult comments that are respectful despite the generalization). Children are the largest demographic of gamers so, duh, most of them are going to be childish. Jay Wilson is obviously not a child but certainly acted like one. His facebook is going to be one of the very few ways to get a candid view of him and this is how he reveals himself when not behind PR like this letter. You don't get to be in a position of power like this where your position is owed to your customers when you can't handle yourself appropriately. There are plenty of Game Directors who don't have evidence of acting like this.
Sure he's allowed to say "fuck you" to someone. But if he's going to be dumb enough to say it to the creator of the franchise that gave him his fucking job, you better actually back your shit up (like Dave did). He didn't. Just a flippant statement like any kid would. Your job as a leader (and a Director is a leader of multiple leaders) is to set an example. When I get paid to do what he does and control huge franchises like that, you be sure to put me in my place if you catch me doing shit like that.

It's the most exciting thing going on right now, what do you expect? Blame Blizzard for lack of anything significant to talk about.

Earnings call to investors. It's about the money they made in Q2. The numbers you are asking for now are in Q3. You'll have to wait for that meeting.
