well considering right on the front page is a monk who can clear act 2 spending only 200k... I would say with 8.5 it would at least be clearable if not farmable.

posted a message on Stable Servers? I experienced it first hand!
The idiocy of dropping that many rares on the ground aside I have been experiencing terrible disconnect spikes since 6pm last night ET. I would be find 100 ping or so then suddenly max lag for like 30 seconds (without my ping changing by the way) and then you have been disconnected from the sever, same error from up above. It sucks trying to build up NV, they really need to have it stay with you if you disconnect (not log out) for at least 5 minutes or something.

posted a message on 1.03 Improved D3 for me.
Yea same here my man, it is a lot more fun now the only problem I have is I have a lot more lag spikes then I used to even though my overall performance is up. in fact the spikes are so bad that my ping bar does not even go orange or red it does not have time to notice I simply go to not being able to do anything and after 1-2 minutes catch up with multiple rubber banding effects, twice I came back to real time to see myself dead.

Other then that I seem to be doing just fine, in Act 1/Act 2 inferno (not grinding yet)

    posted a message on 1.03...wishing I had 1.02c back
    Quote from kjm228

    So,

I hurried home from work today, skipping my tuesday night golf league after anticipating this patch all day. I log in and play for 3 hours to find this:

-nothing seems any easier in act 2(loss in dps offset lesser dmg/health pools)
-gold drops seem to be a ton less than previous
-even worse drops and fewer rares than before the patch(not one rare till 5 stack buff-and i had 124% without the NV buff)(and the few drops I did get were lvl 50-59)
-Hello 20-30k repair bills(makes no sense to farm anything-I lose more gold than I make, and the drops are even more terrible than before so I cant even sell anything on the auction house)

This is very discouraging, wishing I had the previous patch back. At least then after 2 hours of play I had something to show for my time even if it was 30k gold. Now I play for 2 hours and after vendering all the junk and paying repairs i have even less gold then I started with, which sucks because it seems the AH is the only way to get any decent gear because it sure does not drop for me.

In conclusion, I still cannot get past magda and now im even more broke then before, looks like ill put all my blizzard games aside for now:(

Is anyone else witnessing the same thing?

Dont know what class your playing but I have to say either you have poor gear, poor skill or just strait up poor luck
    - I know I was doing much better then I was pre-patch. Oh I still die occasionally or run from a difficult pack, but for the most part easier.
    - I made enough gold to pay all my repairs and still end up 100k up for the night just playing through quests in act one.
    - I think I came across perhaps 40~50 rares last night 5 AH worthy, 4 I am keeping for alts, a few that are not worth much money so I scraped them and the rest I sold to vender. Of all of those I think only 10-15 of them were below ilvl 60 so Bad luck on your part? Also I only have 58% MF without NV and I was getting 1 gold every other pack or so until I hit 5NV then I had occasions where I was getting 3-4 rares from elites

So I don't know what to tell you other then, welcome to Diablo? Grind a lower act or difficulty until you have sufficient gear? The game is not meant to be beaten without grinding for hundreds of hours? But you have heard it all already before so I don't know what else I can say. I think they did a decent job with this patch. They still have a ways to go but I would say I am having a lot more fun now.

posted a message on This game is getting less and less fun by the minute
It's funny because since 1.0.3 I have had more fun. I seem to get more rare drops, more then a few of them of halfway decent quality now; sure a lot of them are not rolled well but that's normal for Diablo, I spent years playing D2 off and on, if you didn't buy your gear or did minimal to no trading you basically had the same luck as you do now. Heck I think its better than D2 in that regard I have bought very little and have slowly wiggled my way through Inferno. With the new patch I am actually enjoying my trek, and not running from mobs nearly as much. (only one I had to run away from; a arcane enchanted, horde, jailer, fast; in a tight corridor so I could not maneuver.) I guess people are complaining because they were used to death zerging and now they can't do that. I made enough money last night just picking up gold and selling blues and a few poorly made yellows to cover the repair costs and death costs (stupid lag; that's really my only complaint this patch I seem to be having a lot more lag) and still come up 100K over what I had and that was just playing the storyline not attempting to farm. People will complain about anything because they want instant gratification.

posted a message on D3 Ladder System Ideas
Honestly its not a bad Idea for those that want it but i would not want them to take any time away from the main game until they fix all the current problems and implement PvP and other things first. The only one I think they should work on faster is the scaling loot drops. each area should allow you get get look near your level +- 1~2 levels within reason; unless you are in inferno anyway. inferno should be only level 59+ ilvl items.

posted a message on RNG looking fishy. What do you see?
I love how everyone here is more or less being dickish to the OP, yes he only has a sample size of 9 at the moment but if you read his last statement it seem he was not necessary looking for opinions on if he is right but TRYING to get a larger sample size by asking others if they have noticed anything or got a larger percentage of one particular affix or not. Help him if you want but leave your nonconstructive criticisms off and let the topic die if you don't like it.

As for you OP, I dont have any numbers but I have to say As a Barb player I seem to notice way more jailer, plagued and desecrater than anything else. It would be interesting to see if they are manipulating the RNG based on the class.

posted a message on farming after 1.03 patch (end of the month ish)
I just want to see the whole game even out, If I am in hell which requires level 50 to enter it I don't want to see ANYTHING drop below 48~49 level. In Act 1 Inferno I don't want to see anything drop that is not level 59 or higher. That is my problem with the loot tables, they seem to be geared WAY too low. I hit a wall in Hell difficulty so I caved and went to the auction house. Level 50+ items easily trumped my old gear, I had only seen one item above level 50 before that in hell and that was a blue helm with one stat and socket. Terrible. Itemization is what needs to change. I know I have to farm but as I said elsewhere, I want a hope of good items, if 90% of my drops are 3-5 levels lower than me what are the chances that I will ever find a rare that is an upgrade. almost none. That, IMO, is the most important thing to address. Find the average level per quest (first time complete mind you) and have items of that level (+- 1~2) be the majority of the drops.

    138 dps 2h crossbow. 2500 dps.
I've had the same armor since normal, I'm level 51 now :( I have two rings from level 25-30. Have not been lucky with the drops at all. I only have 7k health as well. Not having luck finding vitality/dex items.

Try going to the Auction House, use some of your gold for that you can EASILY find stuff to replace your gear that you have had since normal with hell gear

posted a message on Question about Revenge
I have been playing Barb for a little while now, looking at other players builds as I do for inspiration in my own, one thing I see crop up a lot is Revenge. Is it really that good? I tried it out once when I first unlocked it but the 15% chance of going off never seemed to work out for me or I didn't notice it activate. Is it worth getting better to notice when it goes off or should I just go with other AOE skills?

I did the stupid thing playing my starter copy this morning before work... now work is like torture. And I keep refreshing my UPS tracking OUT FOR DELIVERY! As soon as that thing hits my doorstep I might just come down with a case of vomiting and have to leave work ;)
