What the fuck does it matter?

There are still approximately 3 million people playing D3. Are you honestly trying to say that 3-4000 nerdraging douchebags on Amazon and Metacritic outweigh 3 MILLION people who are still playing?

Where is the 3 million, show me the graph. And if it's really 3 million(although I LOL at that you actually believe that), There was like 10 million copies sold. So, the game lost 7 million. Isn't that your simpleton logic? And add to that the bots and chinese gold farmers who probably are more than 50% of that base.

So, are you implying that all those people that played Diablo 2 were unemployed, lazy fat neckbeards that just played video games day and night?

Are you just trying to wittily justify the simplicity of Diablo 3 as to say that it doesn't need depth or any real challenge since it geared towards people with 5 jobs, a wife and 10 children?

Kripp was a fan of Diablo 2. He still has that game installed. Athene even mentioned that in one of his videos like a year before release of D3. And Force.... you know yourself.

Facts, not the opinions of a couple of douchebags. Charts or it didn't happen, buddy.

Charts that kripp played Diablo II 6 years ago? Lol.
He has spoken of Diablo 2 and it's varied build possibilities like millions of times in his videos. How would a person that never played the game be able to do that? Common sense, USE IT. You actually think that Kripp never played Diablo 2?

    Um, no, LOL.

Charts that a lot of people who quit D3 had played D2. As you claimed in your second post.

    Common sense, USE IT.

You're asking for something that is just realistically implausible. Besides, you don't even need charts. Just look at the feedback. And sure, some of it might be rage trolls etc. But you could say the same about "10/10" posts as being raging fanboys. But, fact remains that the majority, the OVERWHELMING majority of users give it less than "5/10". You're going to call all those people trolls? You sound like you're in denial. I was a HUGE fan of Diablo franchise and blizzard fucking RUINED it.

It doesn't matter, they're hardcore fans of the franchise. It falls into their area of expertise on this genre.
There is something that is called a statistical sample size. There is no possible way to actually hear from every single person that bought the game. But if 75% of vocal 3000 people that bought the game say it sucks, it usually does suck. It doesn't even matter whether 100000000 bought it. Just look at amazon feedback, user feedback on review sites like metacritic. Professional critic scores are based on a very shallow criteria because they only play through the game once. And yes, Diablo 3 is great, FOR ONE TIME PLAY THROUGH. But that is not what Diablo franchise is about.

ah.. I predicted this would happen a month and half ago. Just came back to check the forums to see whats up. And all you fanboys actually thought that the patches would fix the game? There needs to be an act of God to fix the game now, I'm talking a massive patch, that also removes the RMAH AT THE LEAST, then it is a start. Right now it's just empty farts from blizzard.

Anyways, I thank Diablo 2/LOD for good teenage memories, it was a simpler time. :D
Seems nostalgia blinds yet another person to the fact that it took years for the things they "loved" to actually get put into the game. Does no one remember how buggy and shitty D2 online was for the first 6 months? It feels like forums are crawling with LOD babies disappointed because Diablo 3 doesn't meet their D2 v1.10 standards or something. Like I said in another thread: Week two of Diablo 3 still beats year two of Diablo 2 for me. "But at least it had single player from the start!!1" Unfortunately, that goes against why people enjoyed D2's online community structure in the first place, but that's an argument for a whole 'nother time. Cya in a few years when D3 lives up to your LOD expectations.

Why do you people keep using that argument. Just because that happened to Diablo 2 twelve years ago doesn't justify Diablo 3's bad release? It's so annoying to hear that. Diablo 2 was in development for 3-4 years and it actually defeated Diablo 1 in gameplay, story, mechanics, content, replayabilty, everything even if it kinda sucked. Diablo 3 team inherited some work from the Blizzard North team that was working on it 6-7 years ago. So the current Diablo 3 team had all those 6-7 years to develop it, they had experience. And I did play Diablo 2 from the start, even the demo and I loved it, I did not get bored for some reason.

Problem is that Diablo 3 is fundamentally flawed with things like linearity and game mechanics. I just don't see any real changes coming, apart from nerfs and some changes to itemization issue, which blizzard is still in denial of. So your argument, 'just because D2 sucked in the beginning, D3 has the same right to suck'. Your argument is invalid. All the new team did was simplify Diablo 3 into a more mainstream game. The game no longer feels like a Diablo game, yet it still has the title. It didn't improve from it's predecessor except for the graphics(Still WoW-ie) and to some extent gameplay(I give that a pass). But overall, it was dumbed down.

Got my refund on the the digital purchase of D3. The customer service was actually very nice and it's a +1 to them. Haven't played D3 in a week now, didn't even want to log on really since then. Unfortunately they ruined Diablo franchise for ME :( RIP
Btw, I had 65 hours clocked in on my barb, inferno and it was no problem. Just be really nice to them, that's all. I made my purchase on May 12th, so you still can get a refund guys.

Those that are still enjoying the game, more power to you! And now back to DayZ :D
