    posted a message on Nephalem VB = kill rareX5, then bossX4, rinse&repeat
I kinda took it that the extra loot that was dropped was going to be equal level to the rares, but the normal loot dropped was still going to be out of the regular non buffed loot pool. Its pretty hard to totally understand the whole system with the information gathered so far. If the regular loot drops in addition to the extra drops were all out of the enhanced champion lvl loot pool, then this is OP. It should just be the extra drops that get affected by the Buff IMO. Boss's should be an option not something drastically superior.

When playing Solo, I am going to take it, but when I am with my friends that will have the same type of effect covered, I will choose something else to have as many different types of CC/Def as possible.

So killing all the bosses and all of the minions isn't soloing the game?

Kill ratio sounds like DPS. How does one measure the kill ratio a KPS meter? That sounds like you are trying to make Diablo 3 into WoW were it is all about fastests and highest not the item find and the feeling of accomplishment. Your also not taking skill into the equation.
The game doesn't consider you are playing solo if you have an alt toon decked in MF sitting in town. The mobs in the game are going to be greatly buffed in dmg and in health, and you would be fighting them solo. Thats obviously a retarded plan...but you go ahead and try it and let me know how well that works out in inferno.

Easy. MF is an affix in the game that takes the palce of another affix in the game. Thus by having MF gear, you are essentially intenitonally gimping your characters kill speed to get better loot. This is not hard to understand.....

Skill does not factor into the equation, because on the whole you are nothing special. If you actually believe otherwise, then you are rather deluded.
So one extra player in the game makes the game impossible to beat it by yourself. Where is your evidence of that I have seen people with 4 people in a game doing just fine on their own. Also is there an affix that guarantees you will be faster than someone with magic find. If there is one I don't think there will be six of them even if there are then why would you still play if you had the best times with six affixes that makes you a god other than to farm items and sell the.
Another point is that in inferno your lvl 60 so there is no point in having a lvl 60 sit in town if you can use the mf gear he has on. Just go read what I said about selling the char after you are DONE with it aka the lvl needed to use the best gear that you found on your way to inferno or the gear on the char your selling.

Lol skill doesn't matter. Thats evidence enough that you never played D2 cause their were so many leechers in there. Also I was in the top 100 for this ladder untill I stopped playing at lvl 89.

There was a blue post that said if you are with a friend and you go off by yourself, you will die. So, I would say intentially putting a stacked MF character in town and trying to clear things solo is a pretty bad idea, but go ahead and try while two people in balanced gear with the same averaged MF killthings twice as fast as you (if you are even able to kill anything by yourself in a 2 person game in Hell or Inferno)

A couple questions I have after reading this. When they say Boss, do they mean just act bosses or do they mean also mini bosses like the Skeleton King? I hope they can make it so that people have to clear fairly large areas to get the bonus rather than just like the last WP->the boss which would probably include at least 2-3 rare packs. Really should be needing to clear a solid sized area to get the bonus so people are still encouraged to explore more of the game rather than the last WP->boss

posted a message on Blizzard on hardcore RMAH: "If there is a demand for it we’ll consider it. "
I honestly don't care if they put the RMAH in HC, but I really dont think they should allow character selling. I really think most people that want RMAH in HC is because they think they will sell items for a lot more money since characters can die, so there will always be a need for the items which keeps the price up. Honestly, I dont think there will be that many people buying in HC since the people who play HC are playing for the challenge in the first place and dont feel the need to buy things.

Buying a lvl 60 in HC would be dumb, but items, sure, whatever.

Assuming MF works like it did in D2, 45% wouldnt be anything you could ever notice. 100% made a specific drop rate go from 1% to 2%. So, ya MF in Beta doesnt do much. It will work better when you can actually get 200+

It will lower you stats compared to someone with equal gear but more focused on combat stats.
There won't be diablo 2 sorc or diablo 2 mf chars. If you think so, just go into mf but don't qq bliz for making inferno so bad you can't kill a worthless zombie. If inferno get's nerfed because many people feel like treasure hunters, it won't be great. But you can go find treasures with your mf in nightmare and maybe hell. That's where mf won't lower your kill rate that much.

From the early levels right now there is a lot of MF to get, and that MF is not hurting your averal DPS at all. I missed it when Blizzard talked about the fact you'll no longer be able to stack MF while getting good combat gear, but so far the game is filled with "free" MF.

Early level MF doesnt count and really doesnt matter. They have said that NM on is really hard. Especially Inferno, they said if you stack MF you will die. You will need to stack good gear and defensive skills to stay alive. If someone is going to be a leach stacking MF gear and inferno while the rest of the group kills stuff, then they deserve to get the share.

All of this totally depends on Inferno being as hard as advertised tho. If its not screaming hard, then ya, people will be able to stack more and then they get a little screwed by people not stacking it. So assuming its as hard as its supposed to be, this change helps the good players and hurts the bad.

posted a message on What do you think this Diablo 3 will offer that the other Diablo's have not.
I personally like how there wont be any Save/exit or escape to town through TP's like in D2. D3 HC is going to be much more reliant on skill rather than running away. There are far more utility spells in D3 so players will have a lot more interactive fighting having to use different CC's in order to stay safe and kill the mobs.

posted a message on DiabloFans Calculator Build Contest (ONE POST ONLY)
Witch Doctor PvE CC group build

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#VbWQYT!aZW!aZaYcc

This is the build that I am currently thinking about using once I am lvl 60 in Inferno with my friends. My roll in the group with my friends is to provide adequate dmg while offering different methods of CC to help keep control of the mobs

Skill #1- Firebats- There arent many direct dmg spells for the WD, and many of them have a short range. I picked Firebats with the Dire Bats rune to be able to do decent dmg from a longer distance away to be able to stay safe.

Skill #2-Corpse Spiders with Queen Spider Rune- A spell with strong dmg and many pets to help distract the mobs from attacking my friends. Dmg and a version of CC seems like a solid choice here. Leaping spiders provides solid dmg, but I like the thought of having more spiders.

Skill #3 Horrify with fear extension rune- This skill will have to be tested to make sure it is functional. I want to make sure it doesnt end up attracting other mobs when the ones that are feared run away. If that does not happen, than this could be a very solid skill for seperating the large groups of mobs that will be in inferno and allow my group to have a slightly easier time with few enemies at at least for a short period of time to greatly reduce dmg and increase killing speed with fewer mobs to attack for that 6 seconds.

Skill #4- Mass Confusion with greater dmg taken rune- Another dmg+ cc skill. Gets some of the mobs to attack each other for a short time while increasing the dmg that all affected monsters recieve by everybody in my group. Seems like a great utility spell for people in groups.

Skill #5 and #6-Zombie Dogs and Gargantuan with leaching dogs and stun runes respectively. Meatshields for myself and the rest of my party. Might be able to take just enough attention from the mobs to allow my teammates to stay away from swarming situations that could cause instant death. Dogs rune will help keep my life topped off and the stun from the Gargantuan just provides yet another method of CC that reduces group dmg.

    Passives-
    1. Jungle Fortitude- Honestly cant imagine anybody without this in INferno. 20% less dmg is going to be huge with all the dmg going around in Inferno

    2. Vermin- 20% more dmg to my 2 main dmg attacks. Solid passive. If I end up needing to change a passive for mana regen or something else, this will be the passive I change. Until needed, tho, I will keep the extra dmg.

    3. Zombie Handler- allows for a 4th dog and increases the health by the dogs and gargantuan by 20%. Another meat shield and lots more life to help them stay alive. Another great option for keeping these guys alive as long as possible to keep some attention away from my friends.

Overall, this is what I am looking at at the moment. I would have grasp of the dead in there, but one of my friends is planning on playing a frost wizard which would provide the slow. If that changes, or I happen to not be playing with him, I definitely plan on throwing Grasp of the dead in there with either the gropping eels rune or unbreakable grasp rune. One of the great things about the runed skill system is being able to change skills depending on who you are playing with and the skills they have chosen. You can always choose complimentary skills to help the group out which I believe is going to be essential to suceeding in Inferno!

They wont get the runes into the beta, but jays writeup will include info about the rune system. They have internal testers for testing runes. The runes dosn't start to drop untill act 2 anyways.

Just so people dont misunderstand something here

In the old system they did. Remember they have changed the system. We dont know what they are changing it to, and recent thoughts point to them removing the items from the game and making the effects unlock with level. We just have to wait and see what they actually come up with to see what makes it into the beta.

posted a message on Your favorite class
I just love how all of the classes are fairly close to each other. Thats a sign they did a great job on all of them and it will come down to playstyle. My personal favorites after playing them was WD, Monk, and Barb. I didnt care for wizard personally. I also think that there will be a lot of wizards early on because of D2 and how much dmg they can do. However, once people start getting into Hell and INferno, I think they will too squishy for the baddies and the class balance will even out. WD's have soooo much utility and cc that they will be well represented in end game I think. I think hell and inferno is going to be all about CC and controlling every situation and WD seem to have a vast amount of choices on how to do that.

posted a message on Can I tweak my computer for max settings rather than build a new one?
Hey all, with D3 "hopefully" going to be out in the next couple months, and my tax return in, I was looking at my computer. Its only 3 years old, but I didnt buy a top of the end Computer to start with. I would like to just upgrade the video card to something like a GeForce GTX 570 which I have heard is one of the best bang for your buck cards out there. I just want to make sure the rest of my computer will keep up with the new card. My computer currently has 4mb of Ram, which I could upgrade to 8mb without any issue. Would be about 150 bucks for 2 4 gig sticks and then video card cost. Thanks for any feedback on my system and what I should do to it!

    Processor-Intel Core 2 Quad CPU 8400 @2.67
    RAM- 4 gig PC6400
    MB-GIGABYTE GA-G41M-ES2H
    Video Card-GeForce GTX 275
    OS-Windows 7 64 bit
    PS-650W Corsair

The thread says my video card is really good, I just want to make sure that with all of the graphic animations in the game, that I can play at solid settings and dont ever have to worry about it. Again, thanks for any feedback on a plan of attack!
