Didn't Bash gave some examples on how some affixes might affect Resources?

No, what you saw in the tooltips from gamescom is really just an example and not indicative of what we have planned. Affixes are one of those areas, like weapons and armor, that we're going to get in as much as we can before the game ships, and then we'll be adding more afterward. We have pretty much all the basics covered, adds to base stats, adds elemental damage, increases attack and cast speed, and then we have some of the crazier stuff like regenning arcane power on a critical hit, spending fury heals you, extra health from health globes, health globe pickup radius, gold pickup radius ... to name a few.

The tooltips from gamescom are more or less indicative of what's actually implemented in the internal builds right now this second (quite a bit less really), but not of what will be available at release, and certainly not what we plan for down the road.

posted a message on Difference between xbows and regular bows
The only restriction that I can think that they will impose is that the Demon Hunter must use a bow or xbow weapon.

I know that Blizzard was thinking about making some of the Monk's skills weapon dependent, but they changed their minds. So I really doubt they will make the Demon Hunter have these restrictions while the Monk does not.

I'll make one for the Monk :) Edit: the ??? obviously mean that I'm not sure :F

    Male Monk

    Fists of Thunder

This has to be a rune version since we saw the normal version in 2010 Blizzcon and the 2011 Press Event beta gamepley film.

    Dashing Strike

    Blinding Flash

    Deadly Reach

You should probably make a note that we don't know if these are runed versions or not.

    Way of the Hundred Fists

    Probably a rune versions.

    Wave of Light (Runed)

Corrected spelling, and I can finally say that the version of the skill we saw at 2010 Blizzcon is most likely the unruned version. Finally! I was getting sick and tired of people assuming that it was a rune versions because they didn't like the idea of the bell.

??? Fists of Thunder (Runed) or Exploding Palm

    It is Exploding Palm.

    ??? Templer Rush

Based from Jay's description of Templar Rush I would have to agree.

    ??? Elemental Arrow

    Impale

Probably, you should again make a note that we don't know if it is a rune version or not.

    ??? no Idea

I am going to have to say... Strafe maybe?

    Shadow Power + Rapid Fire?

I agree, this is most likely Shadow Power + Rapid Fire. Now I am wondering if the Monk and the Witch Doctor will get something like this(as the Wizard has Archon Form, and the Barbarian has Wrath of the Berserker.), or at least the Witch Doctor since the Monk could buff himself with Mantras.

    Companion (I can see "Birds")

I really have no idea(oh and I corrected your spelling.), but I think that I have to agree about the birds if you look really hard.

??? what is that when he smacks the ground

    Explosion maybe?

??? Shock Pulse (Runed) or Electro Cut (Runed)

For some reason I am thinking that it might be a rune version of Arcane Orb do to the similar size and animation of the Wizard when she is sending it out.

    ??? Arcan Torrent (Runed)

Yeah it threw me off at first, but after a moment of watching it I would have to say Arcane Torrent.

??? what is that jump + fire

It has to be Leap Attack that is runed.

    ??? Ground Stomp

Correct, and it is a rune version.

    Seismic Slam

It has to be a rune version.

    ??? Cleave (Runed)

Actually I am not sure, but I would have to say Cleave.

No idea... Maybe Baal or Mephisto if we don't kill them again in D3 vanilla(since it seems we are able to kill Diablo in D3.), or maybe something from the Heaven if Blizzard wants us to ravage that place as well.

What is a likely class archetype that you think they will add in the expansion?

I say the monk....seven sided strike spam + exploding palm. spam seven sided strike to wear em down plus i doubt they'd be able to hurt you much since you move faster than light then right b4 they die pur exploding palm on em so they go boom and do AOE dmg. Monk looks like a total bad ass to me.

WD looks like a wimp. idc if he is awesome at farming he looks like a cracked out hobo. If he isnt that intimadating to me i'm not takin him into the depths of hell to fight diablo.

ok if were talking about the lore and not their actual skills in the game. then id say the "hobo" who can summon hordes of zombies to explode, and fight for him and summon fire and acid is ALOT more badass then a holy rolling bald monk who wields a staff like a pansy and doesn't get laid.

either way i think my strat would work better than your WD theory.....monster AI increases ur pets doesnt

considering watching the gameplay videos the monk seems to kill the slowest and have the hardest time killing. i sincerely doubt that, lol. and i thought you can't even spam seven sided strike?

Mybe he was killing ppl at Inferno while the others were at normal..

Or maybe the Monk was underlevel at the moment, or he was under equipped, he might have been UP at the moment and Blizz might be aware of it and is planning on buffing him. Or it could be that the Barbarian and Wizard had better equipment then average at that point in time, or were overleveled, or that they were OP at the moment and Blizzrard might be aware of it and is planning on nerfing them.

Really, who knows why the Monk was having a hard time killings things compared to the Barbarian and Wizard(and maybe the Witch Doctor.). I know in all of the Interciews I only remember one in which they said they felt that this or that class was under/over-powered. And in that interview they said that the Monk was the most powerful. So... :S .

posted a message on Gamescom 2011 bootlegged gameplay video [BlizzPort]
I am going to say it is the recording that is causing it to be so bright. The first video was kind of bland as it didn't really show us anything except for those that want to guess Fury generation and degeneration rates.

The second one shows us that Fury is bright orange-ish, but I was disappointed in the last scene, really just 3 seconds of the Monk as it kills just one enemy(at least the person got the massacre bonus.)? The Witch Doctor's skills as well as the normal attack had ranks. Normal attack(had 1-5 or 1.5, it is kind of hard for me to tell, but I am leaning towards the .es.), Poison Dart(2-5 or 2.5), and Zombie Charger(3-5 or 3.5).

posted a message on rune effects changing to random?
Personally I don't like this system they are planning on testing. I am ok with random attributes, and locking onto a skills is fine with me. I would have been ok with blank runes, but not with it combine with the other two, even if you were allowed to make the rune blank again. Take that part out and I would be fine with it.

I also don't get why some people is saying that the blank rune idea is like gear drops. It isn't, only way to make it like gear drops was if gear also dropped blank and was able to randomly become any set of gear.

To put it into a D2 point of view, it would be like finding some gloves and when it gets equipped it randomly becomes anything from "Crude Gloves" to "Frostburn" or "Magefist"(of course if this system was implemented for gear the gear would probably have a level, say 87, and it would gain whatever to make it suitable to be a level 87 gear, but you should still get what I mean.).

Now random attributes on runes would be like gear drops(or closer to it as gear gets all its affixes when it drops and not when you identify it or equip it, of course as far as I know you don't need to identify gear anymore, but that is besides the point. Unless they changed when gear gets it affixes.).

Yeah the Bell is Way of Light I didnt think of the possibility of it being runed >_>. Same with Blinding Flash, in the early Monk Gameplay Vid it looked diffrent... and the disorient effect is missing together with the debuff symbol above the heads of the enemies... so its probably runed. But if you think about it that yellow light could also be a runed form of Blinding Flash. Hmm and Mantra of Retribution sounds (atleast to me) like a Thorn Aura... no clue about Mantra of Conviction.

Actually at one point(Female Monk fighting with the Enchantress, but without Leah) I believe the disorienting effect is present but it only lasts about 1 to 2 seconds before the monster is attacked(which releases it from the AI effect.). The problem is that every time the skill is used there isn't very many monsters around and those monsters get attacked immediately by either the Monk and its allies, so it is hard to tell if it is present or not.

Edit: Found the spot in the video, check at about 5:17 here. Oops I thought the Monk was with an Enchantress, but now that I watched it again it looks like she is with a male Wizard.

And while the flash of light could be a rune version of Blinding Flash, I still think it is highly more likely for it to be a Mantra(runed or unruned.).

Edit: Ok thinking a little harder about the tornados... thats probably what you ment with runed Lashing Tail Kick... seems logical to me

Yep, that is what I meant with a runed version of Lashing Tail Kick. The animation of the skill(with the Monk doing some weird jumping roundhouse kick) with the Monk fighting the goatmen is the same as the one that causes the Tornado, so that is why I believe that at least one of those is a rune version of Lashing Tail Kick.

Hmm, ok thanks. But what is the yellow light the male Monk uses during the B-Roll... Oo he uses Fists of Thunder, Lashing Tail Kick, Sweeping Winds, that giant Bell Thing (what is that?oO) and some yellow light (hes using it before the Bell thing).

In the video I can name(or at least guess the name of the skills) Fist of Thunder, Lashing Tail Kick(two different versions, so one of them is at least runed.), Sweeping Winds(a runed version one.), Wave of Light(the 'Bell Thing' and compared to the last time we seen it this is probably a runed version.), Exploding Palm(the heart symbol is blue so a runed version?), Dashing Strike(at least what seems to be it compared to Jay's description of it.), and Deadly Reach(at least what seems to be it compared to a site or two's description of it.), and Blinding Flash(it either has new graphics, or it might be a runed version.)

And then there is one more skill(The yellow light that causes the ground underneath the enemies to glow the same color.) that the Monk used that I can only assume to be a Mantra, which one I am not sure, but since it affecting the enemy I think we can safely discount Mantra of Healing(unless a rune version affects enemies.) and maybe Mantra of Evasion(unless the skill affects the enemies chance to hit instead of the Monk's chance to dodge.).

So it is either Mantra of Retribution or Mantra of Conviction. At least this is what I assume it is.

posted a message on Is increased run speed returning?
The Monk had a Trait in the 2010 Blizzcon build that increased the Monk's base movement speed(called Fleet). While in a few ninja photos showed that Amethyst increases movement speed while the gem is socketed into helms.

But with the recent change of the Traits to Passives that might not be a movement speed factor anymore, and Gem's stats are subject to change.

It is the player's own fault for dieing right before the boss, it usually means that they weren't prepare or were getting overconfident. I just don't see why they should reward you for failing to survive. Death should come with some penalties, and not receiving loot or exp(along with losing some durability.) seems like a good penalty.

    Quote from Zero(pS)
Now if you see the "latest beta footage", the 7 minute video released on Aug 1st, you'll see a time where the Demon Hunter kills like 5 enemies and get 3 health orbs (all at the same time =/) which makes me wonder whether they'll screw up with the "health orb" feature after announcing it such a long time ago.

That might just be random luck, or they might have the chance for them appear a bit too high right now. I remember them saying that balancing how often they drop will be a bit troublesome. Too often and the players will have almost no fear of dieing, too seldom and the players die a lot unless they play slowly and carefully. These videos only give us a glance of the system, but we won't truly know how well it was implemented until at least Beta is released.

So now I'm dead just in time to miss out on all the loot and experience. I will soooooo totally go postal when that happens. If it happens more than once I will probably not group much, especially for boss kills.

How does this differ from Diablo 2? Or even Diablo 1? Is there any ARPG where if you die right before the boss does you still receive loot?

This is like having a boss in a RPG kill your whole party and then die(or would have died) from a DoT right after. Should you still be rewarded with the boss dead and its loot(if it had any)?
