This doesn't stop D2JSP or other 3rd party sites from selling Hardcore items. All Blizzard did was cut half of their profits; I think Blizzard should still have an AH for HC. People will still use these 3rd parties if they want to buy their items with risk of losing items upon death or not. It will be like D2 HC then, everyone would want FG and trades would rarely happen. I think Blizzard is underestimating how many people do play HC and how many do buy items or trade of D2JSP despite any risk of death.
And yes, I still am 100% for the RMAH - it's about time it was done and if successful, I can see other gaming companies adding this to their games. Wait and see how much profit Blizzard makes from this, $$$ will be in all the developers eyes.

I am having a blast playing it though normal mode is what they intended it to be - way too easy - so that average gamers can get into the game and complete the difficulty with no problems.
The graphics are great, I love the random crumbling buildings, mobs coming out of wholes in the ground of out of caskets in the walls.
Shadows and fog add a lot to the feel of the game.
I love the artisan and being able to craft useful items - which so far are way better than any magic/rare I've found.
Combos for kills, items broken, and kills in one hit are nice
Going afk in your game doesn't dc you after several minutes; took my family to a birthday party - 5 hours later I come home to find my character still in game where I left him. - I like that.
Shared stash = win even if you have to buy extra storage slots.
Random events I really like - makes me want to run around and explore - you never know what elite mob you might run into or random event.
The music is good - fits the game
Books are back but so far are only for Lore - but it's nice to hear a small story while you game
I like the Teleport button, though it takes away the challenge of grinding out mobs incase you didn't keep track of how many portal scrolls you had on you (D2). So having an infinite way back to town is nice, just takes the challenge out of it.
I don't like the timer between swapping out skills but I understand why they did it.
So far some of the voices don't fit in to me, my wizard sounds russian while my companion sounds like he's irish. Still not sure how I feel about the small conversations the companion has with you as your fighting.
I find it funny during one of the missions (can't recall the name) where you take a guy to a basement to kill his wife. She stands there while all the humans turn into zombies - doesn't move. Later he talks to her as she's apologizing then she spews green and red puke all over the place - yet the husband just stands there getting spewed on lol - it doesn't phase him.
Overall I give my experience a 9/10 - I had so much fun in the short time I've played it that I cancelled my SWTOR sub (was going to cancel when D3 came out). Playing that game feels like a chore; I actually had fun playing D3 beta. I will be purchasing D3 for myself and my son since he's enjoying it as well. I am very thankful that I got a beta and I really think it's been worth the very long wait.
That's all I can think of right now (at work) - not sure why others are being critical, but so far I am having a blast and I look forward to the challenges the higher difficulties pose.
BTW - how old is Deckard Cain and how can this old man survive when countless others have died? Not that I mind seeing him in D3 - just makes me wonder what this guy is taking.

I laugh at people like you.
I barely post, mostly browse to see whats going on every now and then. And YES, I finally got my copy of Beta today and I will rub it in your face. Does it mean since I barely post that I haven't played since Diablo 1? I've been gaming over 25 years - if anyone is a noob - it is you. I've been there since day one with Diablo 1, Hellfire, Diablo 2, and LoD - does that make me any better than the OP? No. Grow up, take a walk outside and calm down and show people common courtesy.
Oh and BTW, I am Loving Diablo 3 beta so far - just wish I didn't have to work 14 hours today but glad I got some time in before the maint. Even more glad knowing that you are raging that other people who you feel don't deserve to test beta have it and you don't. I'll name my next character after your forum name.

The demonhunter is the char type I am least interested in, just isn't appealing to me for some reason.

While I am holding my breathe for a Q4 release of this year, I am not getting my hopes set because I know how this process goes. The company I work for, if a client is really pushing for something to be done, we have to work our tails off to get it done ASAP. Blizzard likes to take their time to get an absolute polished product out the door, so a delay is almost certainly plausible.
Lets hope a 2 month beta-phase has limited defects and Blizzard is happy with the finished product. I'd rather have a bug-free game than one ridden with them.

If you don't want to use the cash AH then don't; if you want an environment without the AH then play HC or don't play. Picking one decision out of 3 isn't a hard choice, you either play SC, HC, or don't play at all. Give it a chance, worst case is you play until you make your money back in the AH for what you paid for the game and quit. I'd rather see any extra revenue going back to Blizzard and the players rather than see njaguar, botters, and hackers make another cent off Blizzard personally.
Skill point customization doesn't affect me; hell all of us made cookie-cutter builds. This just eliminates setting everything up perfectly for the same result.
Not to offend anyone directly, but whining like this makes you seem very immature and reminds me of my kids. It's a game, you play it for fun. If it's not fun you quit; if it's not for you then don't buy the game. If you don't like change and progress then continue to play D2; in all I bet 95% of you complaining will still buy the game. D2 is an eleven year old game, you can't expect it's next installment over a decade later to be exactly the same with upgraded graphics. End of rant.
