yeah 60 barb in inferno gearing up, 400 ish all res and counting actually got a mob to hit me for 1500 low end so thats progress from 3k min still refuse to go in there without more res

I like your idea... cause that is where my thoughts are going.
My build

But, on your build I'd loose Revenge and pick up Warcry with the additional resistances. In D2 once you hit Nm and on, this will also free up the gear you can use as well. So that you dont have to seek out resistant gear, and acquire even more mf.

End game is best. Scalable items promote disregarding any new loot for X levels while it is scaling. Also having multiple items that can be interchanged with in a set (like multiple chest pieces) also has the issue about ignoring other "uniques" and keeping you in the same armor set. Crafting them can be a good idea but you would have to collect the patterns first and would be tough to complete a set early-mid game while it is still worth it.

I too am looking for potential people to run with for at least the first week, but alas I am still two short. Anyways~ gl to you and your guild

I disagree about Mf not being as prevalent. I believe that it was said there is a bigger risk using Mf over stat/damage gear...as in you'll be easier to kill and you'll have less killing power. Not many skills taunt an enemy into attacking (only one that I recall offhand). With the new AI targeting the weaker player, having one person gathering Mf means they will be a demon/undead magnet.

Granted, Blizzard wants to push Gold as the economic currency. The importance of Gold could be enhanced should we receive an auction house, but I believe Gems will be currency due to the fact 16000 level 5s nets you one perfect gem.

So we all know that it didn't make it in D2 even if it was planned. Do you think that it'll make it for launch, considering we do not know all of the "systems" just yet. We've also heard nothing on Mercs so far.

One thing I am interested in is, will higher leveled gems have additional effects, or change effects entirely (ie a gem that provided additional Xp would become useless once you are 60. For alts I know, but it would be nice that a gem doesn't become obsolete just because you hit 60) If a gem gives more Fcr are we really just going to have 14 levels of fcr increases? (Granted it is an awesome stat but, it would be nice to think that there will be a little variation with the collection of thousands of gems.

I'm just going to assume 2 of the same gems is all thats needed to upgrade to the next, and you would need 512 level 5 gems to get a level 14 gem.

That sounds a lot more believable than 19683 level 5 gems.

It was confirmed that it'll be 3 per upgrade for gems. At least it was when they answered my tweet on the subject.
I didn't hear about any additional items needed for upgrading gems. (such as runes)
