posted a message on The Soulstone plot, who's doing what
I always assumed that the Prime Evils couldn't manifest their powers without the soulstones though. Since it was a ploy by Izual after he was corrupted by Diablo they made the soulstones which were to contain them but in reality it help the Primes manifest in the world no problem(basically like a shortcut past the Worldstone which wouldn't let them in Sanctuary in the first place). Like how Baal went from tentacle monster Tal'Rasha to regular possessed humanoid Tal'Rasha after his soulstone was taken. But when he got it again he was able to become like his brothers, maybe I'm just ranting.

Well all this equates to a Diabaalphisto. So I hope before we fight Diabaalphisto, we get to fight Diablo in his original form full power before Diabaalphisto(doubt it though :S ). Maybe they will save Diabaalphisto for the expansion??? hopefully?? :d3d: DIABAALPHISTO!

posted a message on Speculation Over Azmodan's Second General
She is lust now, you're right. I think some people remember the 1000 pounder mini-boss from way back when at the announcement of D3. Under his name there was "Gluttony Incarnate" maybe a link or a monster spawned from the Gluttony General? Maybe just coincidence but either way it could be pretty exciting with all these new bosses.

posted a message on Is anyone else worried about the Diablo(him actually)?
So after watching The Black Soulstone cinematic; I started to wonder what the stone was for.

I soon speculated that maybe the Black Soulstone has all 3 Prime Evils inside of it as a result of the 3 other soulstones. Then I realized; if that's what Azmodan was after, that means he either a)wants it to shove it in his head and gain their powers combined or b)wants to destroy it so they can never come back(if they actually even can die).
What I'm getting at is the rumors of Diablo being feminine and people speculating that Leah might be the next host for him. So I'm thinking maybe Leah does what her father does and gets influenced by the Prime Evils to shove it in her head before Azmodan has a chance to.

I see it playing out as she does it before we kill Azmodan in Act 3. BAM! Up comes the combined girl-looking demon that is Leah with the Prime Evils combine(boniness and skinniness of Mephisto, tendrils and tentacles of Baal, red and horns of Diablo; as people have been speculating). Into act 4 she goes(Hell) we kill her and release the Prime Evils and they are in full power because there are no more soulstones. Roll in the expansion.

posted a message on Demon's Souls is Great
Dark Souls is the spiritual successor to Demon's Souls, but in many way different like an open world, better online, harder(YES), etc.-comes out Oct 3rd I cant wait. But yes, definitely pick up this game if your into a good'ol fashion hardcore game that is hard, but isn't cheap and teaches you as you play to be more smart and strategic.

You can kill the Red Dragon if you sit atop the first tower in 1-2 and pelt him with about 150ish arrows and he'll drop around 30,000 souls take awhile but is well worth it if you are patient.

Also, any monster you see should be reachable. The guy your thinking of you can get too him if you jump off the side at the bridge across the Red-eyed Knight where you fought the Blue-eyed Knight; it's little hard to see but there's a hole on the wall that lets you jump off the bridge(also get a crossbow!). As for the Red-eyed Knight if you want an easy way of killing him I got a trick that I learned from a friend; you can lure him down near the pit filled with floating white things near the beginning, and run around it till he charges and falls for a free 3,000 souls. Trying to take him down early in the game is really tough, so if you want a different measure try the pit. He's more of a You Shall Not Pass guy anyways.

posted a message on Hey, what if D3 sucks bad?
    Quote from SFJake

Its Blizzard. They made SC2 get good reviews, when it doesn't deserve half of it.

I think D3 has the chance to be a pretty good game. But their games just ain't special anymore. I just want D3 for the coop fun with my friends. Unlike lots of fanatics, I won't be putting 1000 hours on it in a few months. I'll just play it for a while and then move on.

I think it can live up to simple expectations. Its not even supposed to be anything extraordinary.

Well your entitled to your opinion, but I honestly think SC2 was one of the best games in the past year or so. Sure the campaign was lack-luster but you should expect that from and RTS. Ranked multiplayer is getting more balanced so there is competitive play and its really challenging when you get into the higher ranks. And of course the most underrated part of SC2 always gets overlooked the Custom Games, where you get so many different games you can play from TDs, DOTA, Arenas, they even got Shooter games, etc., etc.

Anyhow, if anyone has played the Blizzcon demos(like me) they would know the game was awesome so far and they are improving as they go on, at least thats my opinion and the majority of the Diablo community I think. I dont think it'll fail from my experience we'll see come beta. But if it does, which I highly doubt, I'll be playing Dark Souls, Skyrim, or something of the like.

posted a message on How Will Diablo's Final Form Look Like
    Quote from Astion

    Quote from Dauroth

Makes me wonder who it actually is then....

It's Diablo. Confirmed on numerous occasions. Besides, that's generic pose we see in those pics, we don't know his posture and how he moves and everything else.

I haven't seen any confirmations that that is actually Diablo. Everyone suggests it though. Might be wrong :P

Don't see why Blizzard would have anyone BUT Big D as their poster-boy for the Diablo franchise. Would they really show some random demon as the face of Diablo 3? Wouldn't make sense, and it's been confirmed by Jay Wilson that Diablo is in the game. So if he's in game then why would anyone else represent Diablo 3 other than him(Baal was an exception from LOD since Diablo was "dead")

Edit: For the OP, I think you should build on what they have as the render and add on to the art. Example: adding more spikes, putting some scales to beef Diablo's look up, make him stand in a pose similar to what he would look like in D2(1 hand on the ground ready to do his charge slash thingy or readying his lightning hose would be sick-looking with the new model)

posted a message on Melee Wizards are dead
    Quote from blizter

Because they can only use wands and orbs?

    That's close range spell casting.

Melee range is melee whats the difference other than it doesn't scale with weapon damage instead with gear/spell power whatever stat they call it. Same concept using different mechanics.

Edit: Also they never said Wizards can't use swords, think i saw a screenshot where a Wizard was holding a sword and an orb, don't remember from where. But, that's probably where Magic Weapon comes into play( from Diablowiki.net
Magic Weapon - A spell for the battle mage, this one imbues huge magical damage into the wizard's weapon).

Spectral Blade + Mirror Image + Magic Weapon + Diamond Skin with Storm Armor and Teleport = deadly combo? Maybe, melee still isn't out of the question for Wizards. Who knows come beta time.

posted a message on 3v3 Teams who will you roll with!
This is a hard topic considering the huge number of builds there could be. The builds really are in their own category but they can have endless mixes. Pure damagers, controllers, counterers(lol?), half-half hybrids, and so many others.

But my own would be the Monk, Wizard, Barb; 1-2-spell punch. For the builds, I'll leave to my friends to decide on their Monk and Wizard; Frenzy Barb for me woooo.

posted a message on The Three Prime Evils: We've Only Ever Killed Their Human Hosts
Maybe that could confirm that Duriel and Andariel could be permanently dead? Since they weren't in any human host that I knew of.

posted a message on Mephisto, Baal, and other lesser evils?
True, speaking of which there's a topic about that. We've never truly killed the Prime Evils because we've always killed their human hosts. Which could confirm that Duriel and Andariel could be technically dead.

Speaking of the Mistress of Pain, do you guys think other powerful demons may show up in the game like Lilith(wasn't killed canonically/lore wise or at least I think so) or other demons who may be related to the Prime Evils/Lesser Evils? Maybe other entities as powerful as them; Inarius breaks free anyone?

posted a message on Act 4 Corrupted Tyrael End Boss
My own act 4 is somewhat twisted. =]

I have Diablo as my final boss, with encounters(but not fights) with Baal and Mephisto throughout the act with them taunting you leading your smartself into a trap. During the act all of a sudden the appearance of hostile Angels who seem to not be from the High Heavens. With the final fight with Diablo, after his "defeat" Tyrael, Mephy, Baal jump in cinematically kicking your ass and leaving you to die right before you can finish off Big D, then they portal off to the High Heavens to attempt to destroy the Angrius Council(leading to the expansion of course).

posted a message on Mephisto, Baal, and other lesser evils?
No idea if there was a thread about this yet, if so my bad.

Not much has been mention of the Big 3 and lesser evils, outside of Jay Wilson confirming Azmodan and Belial having appearances in D3(the latter in Act 2), and the 99% chance that Diablo is the final boss of D3. With that being said I can only assume Azmodan would be in either Act 1 or 3; maybe in Act 2 as well?

1.Anyways, my question is where do you think they'll fit the unmentioned(Mephisto, Baal, Duriel, Etc.)?

2.With the addition of 1 expansion maybe even 2, who do you think will be missing in vanilla/regular and why?

3.Also most importantly with Diablo having his new dew, what do you think the other bosses will look like? Will Baal finally be a real crab? Mephisto's got sexy legs, lolwut? Andy went up a cup size?! Belial is actually a bug; Lord of Flies?

Here's my wacky idea: Act 1 would have Azmodan involved leading to a Duriel, heading to Act 2 where you would fight Andy first then Belial where he escapes using her as a distraction(Lord of Lies lol),Act 3 maybe Azmodan + Belial as a dual boss fight(that would be awesome), Big D at the end with his Brothers stepping in before his "defeat/death" leading to the expansion.
