Actually the math was already done correctly. They said 1.9% of characters unlocked Inferno not accounts. People on the forums assumed that cause the average user made 3 characters that it automatically meant that the 1.9% of those who unlocked Inferno on 1 character also did so on their "assumed" 2 other alts. Which, in itself, is a big shot in the water; EVEN THOUGH Blizzard clearly stated that 1.9% of CHARACTERS unlocked Inferno not ACCOUNTS.

As for how they treat the customer fanbase, I think there is merit on how they have to treat some people. especially trolls and the like. But, however I think they can do better and not assume every other post is a troll attempt.

Yawn. They're using a bunch of wordy responses in hopes to confuse the reader's actual issues with the game. Straw man, deflection, camouflaging. Whatever. The game is flawed, it's lazy, and it's cheap. I don't die because I'm bad, I die because the game mechanics are cheap. There's no skill, there's no intense moments where I have to use a correct sequence to survive a given situation (unless you consider trap, kite, run, shoot "skill"). And now I'm just about out of hell and feel like I accomplished nothing. Why? Because when I died I just went back to the mobs and unloaded and died again and repeat. There were no tactics, nothing other than kiting and shooting and dying. Obviously you want this to be a gear check.. great. Guess what? I didn't get a single rare item in Hell for my class. I didn't get a single upgrade in hell. The harder the game got, the worse the drops got. This is a fact. Sure, involve luck, but should lucky keep me completely out of balancing my character when I'm putting more time and effort into the game? This makes no sense. But hey, I got a bunch of other classes upgrades and rares. What a coincidence, I can now use the auction house to sell these items and buy item that anther class got that would have benefited me. Why is this not shocking? Why, it's the RMAH. Obviously it hasn't been released, but that completely irrelevant considering it was meant to be released shortly after launch.

So now I've purchased my gear in the AH. Fantastic. Wait, no it isn't. It completely contradicts the ARPG genre. Instead of being rewarded for my time and effort into killing those shiny yellow and bold blue mobs with an upgrade, I receive a golden ticket to log out of the game and reward myself with a hefty burden of browsing the auction house. Oh fun. Now that I've put the effort into killing these mobs I get to put even more time into rummaging through this annoying storefront. Just fantastic.

You want tactics please play Hardcore, see how that changes wither or not you care about dying. Blacksmithing was suppose to fill in for low drop rates thru Nightmare and Hell. People seem to think it's useless, therefore it's their fault for "not wanting to waste gold" to upgrade the Blacksmith, not Blizzard's.

posted a message on Fear or being melee :(
Melee characters have a 30% base damage reduction. This was patched awhile ago, I'd have too look it up. Anywho JW just stated that all classes should have at least 2 defensive abilities going into Inferno. So I wouldn't count out melee cause ranged also have it just as bad too: grenadiers, teleporters, and so on and so forth.

Don't force people to be efficient if they don't want to be.
The point of the game is efficiency... Killing monsters as quickly as possible to maximize your time to find the drops you want. That is the game. I think you should do whatever you think is fun, absolutely, but if you want to go at a slower pace, not really worry much about maximizing efficiency, and just kind of take it at your own speed you're going to have a pretty rough time in Nightmare let alone Inferno. Hopefully as the game progresses and difficulty ramps up you're naturally being encouraged to tighten up your build and scrutinize your gear more and more.
So here all the promises about the fun of customization and playing the way you want go out of the window. Say goodbye to fun, say hello to gear grinding.

Jay Wilson states otherwise, viable builds will be able to run into Inferno and clear it. Wither it clears it faster than an optimal build or not doesn't matter, it still means you can clear Inferno with viable builds. If you want to clear it as fast as possible then fine, that's the way you want to play. For me I want to get through Inferno with my thorns Barb and that's fine for me I could care less if I take twice as long as anyone else, it's my way of playing. No one is forcing you to play with a genaric cookie cutter build; unlike Diablo 2 which had very little builds that can go through hell, ubertristram, etc.

well i didnt expect that kind of enrage timers...
sad news then. i was expecting diablo 3 to give more freedom in gameplay. by presenting those enrage timers they are totally lowering the fun and diversity in fights. so again we are back to old diablo 2 mechanics where the one build even doing 10% dmg more then other will be superior.
also the boss fights will be looking the same all the time because if you will make a mistake you will die, no chances to make up for that ...
    really disappointed...

Enrage timers are only in Inferno, how does adding a mechanic on endgame content make it less diverse? The example Bash gave was in Inferno after awhile SK spawn more skeletons faster. So how does that make any build not viable it only make you pay more attention to killing the extra mobs and not get caught by a SK teleport hit / whirlwind. All it goes is making Inferno harder and less cheesable. Alot of people wanted difficult, so they gave it to you. And now, before people even play the game they are already complaining about it. I think we should just wait and see if it gets too hard than maybe they might nerf it. They did say that Inferno is, I quote "not for everyone, we want it for only the hardest of hardcore players". So if you can't handle it than they are right and it's meant for people who want a challenge.

TV series would be much better, something like Game of Thrones. There's so much lore and so much epicness that could be fleshed out I don't think a 2 hour movie could do it.

so did the video melt your brains away?

This is behind the scenes, 100% unlock will be the entire animation. Watch it be a 30minute movie, I'd die before it starts. The CGI is saved for the in-game cinematics why waste it on something alot of people may not see. This is just a bonus for us fans and I thank Blizzard for this!

Still looks like they are turning towards a third party than fighting each other, imo.
This is my theory as well.

Diablo's head turns a full 90 degrees unless he's turning so fast his body gets pushed back too, I'm not seein it. Plus Imperius, after his spear swing, is facing basically the opposite direction from Diablo. I see fighting not turning, you don't swing a spear at someones face while turning to face another person.

Here's a somewhat extended version of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=-o55cLN1AZg#t=18s
Clearly Diablo gets knocked back and Imperius is swinging his spear, he is rotating in a swinging motion.

posted a message on Tyrael and the Fallen Star(SPOILERS)
Alright well, I was just rereading the Book of Cain recently and I just came over a line that I missed the first time.

In the book it says that when Tyrael destroyed the Worldstone Baal's body is destroyed by the explosion, after he hurls his sword into it. However, it also said, "Whatever happened to Tyrael after this is unknown, but it is clear that his physical form was destroyed like Baal's"

So where am I going with this? Well it points to two things:
    1) Tyrael's body was destroy yet clearly he's in Diablo 3 physically.
    2) Does it mean that when he blow up the Worldstone that something may have happened to him?
    3) Is it possible that Baal isn't dead either or his body can be retreived?

So to point #1. Tyrael is either going to show up in D3 as himself or somewhere along the lines he'll get his body back / get a new one. If this is true, that means that angels possibly can possess humans / nephelum and use it as a host. More or less similar to how the Prime Evils have been doing.

Going to point #2. Chris Metzen mentioned the fact that the Worldstone physically was in the world of Sanctuary but, spiritually it was still in the Pandemonium Fortress(PF). So being that the case, when Tyrael blow up the Worldstone. Was it possible that his spirit was somehow warped from Sanctuary to the PF. It could possibly be the reason that he was able to go back to the High Heavens(as PF is the one place that connects Heaven and Hell).

Point #3. Also in the lore panel someone asked what happened to Andariel and Duriel's bodies. Metzen answered, "I wouldn't leave them laying around". And with the whole theory that Diablo is grabbin bodies and merging with them using the Black Soulstone, I could see an expansion coming with alot of interesting things to come.(Mephisto combined with Baal final boss of the next expansion, ohwut? fuse Imperius and Diablo and you get one BAMF, ohsht!)

And last, but definitely not least, there was a note that Cain wrote after explaining what happened to Tyrael. Summerizing it up it stated earlier that Tyrael's body was destroyed but, "recent events surrounding the fallen star have caused me to begin formulating theories which I dare not express here." So it implies 2 things: 1) Cain possibly thinks theres something fishy going on with Tyrael or
    2) He thinks that its possible that Baal and maybe other evils can come back just like Tyrael.

Sorry of the wall of text but with D3 coming soon, my mind is just wondering. I can't wait to see the lore unfold before my eyes :QQ:

I hate her voice as well, but that's a matter of opinion. If you don't like it justplay the male Wizard. His voice is fine to me, it still has the arrogant/confident tone just less squeaky compared to the female.
