    I only really have a top 2:

    #1) Kate Beckinsale - Vampire movies + Accent + body = HOT

#2) Olivia Munn - Just have to like the geekyness, even if it is a bit staged.

I just read the slide that says how the community will be split into several different leagues, and ranked within each league. My initial reaction was "Holy shit, they got it right!" I honestly think this is the best idea i've seen seen for ranking competitive play online in a long, long time.

It perfectly mirrors how it would be outside of a game: you really don't like facing people a whole let better than you in competitions, but you also want a rank amung the people of similar skill & time investment levels. So you form leagues with similar skilled people. I love the idea of using this for a RTS ranking system, I hope they get this just right because it surely has the potential to be a great ranking system. Much better than the murdered ELO system they tried to do with WoW arena.

posted a message on Am I the only one who thinks there are too much effects ?
Yea, I think what we've been shown so far of the game seems a bit too heavy on the explosions and large graphical effects. Sometimes simple is better; obviously you want a few skills that generate massive effects that are eye grabbing, but when every skill does it, it gets a bit repetitive. Hopefully we'll have the option to turn down select effects just a notch or two.

    Quote from "Bannik" »

each class offers a unique and original game play style that suits what ever game-play style you like

and when they made the necromancer they succeeded in making another class the pet class that was unique in game play etc

but how is this monk unique in game-play? with the money blizzard has and the the new engine they use i assumed the monk would have a radically different game play style but he doesn't.

the uniqueness i am talking about is the same they did with a necromancer they made game play style so perfect there was no way of making it better.

Not sure if you've seen the panel discussion, if you haven't go check it on youtube before it gets taken down. What they reveal about the monk class makes it seem pretty darn awesome. Something doesn't have to be "unique" to be a solid class thats fun to play.

I'm not sure why some people have an obsession with "unique" but you can't reinvent the wheel every day and expect to not end up with something round at the end of most days. The monk has just enough individuality from what I've seen to really set it apart. In the panel they talk about several moves that have 3 stages, but you can mix & match the stages from different skills. That is something straight out of sidescreen fighting games, but it is thrown into a rpg/action game and I think its a terrific idea. Don't like the style? Play a different class.

Maybe blizz will break the mold with the fifth class, who knows. Every class doesn't have to groundbreaking, they just have to be fun to play, cool to look at and are distinguisable from other classes within that game.

I'm actually interested in this. Some of the changes just posted on MMO-C from the panel are interesting.

I might play cataclysm just as something to do while I wait for D3. I've been waiting for rated battlegrounds since 2006, it'll be interesting to see if they find a way to do it well. Hopefully they will have learned from all their horrible arena rating systems how to do one well.

I'm looking at Borderlands myself... what do you think of it so far?

It looks decent, reminds me a bit of TF2, but taking itself a bit more seriously.

I'm looking forward to CoD:MW2 but i'll have to build a new pc before I can play it, which probably won't be for a few months after it comes out.

No, it says in the FAQ that only games including WoW and newer will work with the new Battle.net "2.0" system.

Ahh, ok. I meant more along the lines of (How or if) it would impact it. I also haven't read the FaQ - The live chat on the homepage crashed the browser on my iPhone and I've been out of the loop for a few hours :(

I will admit, I'm a little bummed for the fact that I can't wait for this game, but at the same time I will know they will take their time to make Diablo 3 what it needs to be.

The real issue is finding something to play in the meantime :) D2 can only hold my attention for a few months at a time, every few years. I anticipate playing SC2 pretty heavily for a while but I can only play RTS games for so long, I'm good a Microing and have a high APS rate but it just gets tedious to play them competitively for a long time.

WTB fallout-3 like game to be released summer 2010 that can hold me until D3.

Cool to have it officially announced, but it was kind of assumed. Data storage has gotten remarkably inexpensive, so it makes sense to store our shit for longer than 90 days :)

I actually had a run in with this in the current season, I left d2 for a while, and logged on with like 2-3 days left on my Main MF character. Was nice to not have to start from scratch.

I wonder how the b.net 2.0 revamp is going to affect SC1 and D2 play.

Well, yeah, I'm excited. I'm just bummed that it got leaked before the event started. If we were told later, I would be even more excited. I want to know more about lore and game dynamics anyway.

Yea, I'm a bit bummed. I was going to go do stuff until the D3 panel started, but now I'm F5 spamming every Blizz news site :(

posted a message on Top 5 Songs List
    Genres are a bit random:

    1)Korn - Blind
    2)Metalica - Four Horsemen
3)Rammstein - Stein umm Stein (Get a lyric translation, its fucking awesome)
    4)Soil - unReal
5)Godsmack - Voodoo (I flipped a coin between this and ALC - Rooster)

Picking 5 songs freaking sucks. Went with one from each fav band, but in reality its a close tie for 5-6 songs from each band.

    Quote from "anteza" »
no, it won't be released this year. its pretty much a fact.

it most likely is a guessed release date, and they'l keep moving it up each time the date is expired.

Don't believe any release date untill a official announcement

Yup. There likely was a field for release date that the guy who put up the pic felt obligated to put something in. 9/30/2010 is a possibility, but even that is looking too soon at this point.

posted a message on fun builds that can solo hell
    Quote from name="Lt Venom" »
I'm looking for a build that can kill everything without a problem, doesn't need to be a fast killer or fast mover (I like challenges), and easy to obtain gear. It can be a build for a Necromancer, Sorceress (No Lightening), or Amazon (Bowazon).

Wind druid works fairly well for that. It is a bit slow but with dual elements and bear + mercenary you can do OK. Blizzard sorceress can do very well, but you get the shaft on cold immunes.

If you want something that really can kill just about everything, go with a barbarian. Dump a couple of points into berserk, and you can kill every monster in the game except a few zombies in A2 and some beasts in A3. Nice and challanging without good gear too :P

You can also do a hammerdin, but they are actually pretty boring IMHO because of how powerful they are. Their attacks bypass magic resistance for demons & undead, leaving only the least popular monster type, animals to resist their damage.

FINALLY! All monster pages are as of this moment done!

...Except for Super Unique pages. And there are still some act 5 monsters (the ones that come from other acts originally) that need to be added. But other than that, it's all done

I think Hell Bovines are missing as well ;)

posted a message on What was your least favorite thing about D2?
    Quote from "Seth" »
Immunities annoyed me the most- they greatly limited the amount of choices you had in your builds and affected some character's more unfairly than others.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. On one hand they sort of make you diversify your character, but on the other hand some characters simply cannot function like that.

When you actually have the ability to deal with immunities (Barbarian + Berserk) it makes it a fun challenge, but when you don't (Single element sorcs) it is just annoying.
