posted a message on farming spot a1 5legs/hour in average
I think we did this in a group of 4 yesterday (Venaliter was with us), pretty much blowing past everything, for 40~ minutes... 0 legendaries for everyone... I think maybe one of us got one (iirc).

And then the day before I ran like 1+ hour of core runs with Donkington, clearing even elites in seconds, doing tons of runs, and we both got 0 legendaries, he left really frustrated... 5 minutes after he left I got 3 legendary drops and a set plan while farming Whites at the Act 1 Jail (in like 30 minutes)...

So yeah, as I usually say about these "routes" that wield amazing "averages"... R N G

So what, if I don't get the xpack, I will be screwed out of 2handed weapons forever ???
I don't know. But if yes, what is your point? That Blizzard should cater to your needs for an indefinite time just because you paid them 40$ almost 2 years ago? There is a point where simply you are required to either move on (buy the expansion) or simply drop the game.
That is the most stupid thing I have heard in a while. You think it's alright to force people to pay money to enjoy properly something they bought in the past ? What kind of dumbass logic is that, are you a corporate executive or something ?
Your statement is only fair if you think you didn't get enough value for your money from D3 vanilla. Even in its original state, I remember playing Diablo for over a hundred hours - even before all the amazing patches, each one better than the other, that they pushed forward in the next couple months.

So yeah, I too agree there's a time you either have to move on from complaining and pay for the new content.

But even then your complain doesn't apply here. TWO YEARS after release, they still released a shitload of new stuff for the original game. Improved difficulties, revamped bosses and unique-mobs, new affixes, ABSOLUTELY HUGE skill revamp with new graphics and balance, new legendaries with specific effects...

I can agree maybe they could have done it in a way that didn't "break" 2h legendaries, and they probably could still do something to fix it... but to be simply ignore all the good changes and new content, and simply focus on such a small problem, saying they must focus all their efforts to fix it, is flat out hypocrisy and entitlement.

posted a message on Clan Trading
Yeah that would be pretty cool for me too. I'm gonna miss some trading, even with all the benefits that come from having BoA in the game.

But I don't think the developers are going to change their minds now. They're pretty much set in stone for release. Maybe once RoS hits, people play it for a couple months and the majority of the feedback is that people want some sort of trading back, then they might change their minds. But until then... =/

I guess this isn't really about the video posted originally, nor about the discussion the poster tried to spark. Instead it became mostly about how much of a priority a problem should have. Time to close it.

Whats your suggestion for a fresh lvl 60 character (i can farm on torment 1) on HC?
keep farming T1 until you can farm T2. basically farm on a difficulty your gear can handle. I like to stack health, res, toughness before damage. most of my guys can handle T3 4 but it takes awhile to chop down elites.

always keep DC in the back of your head because it can happen and don't get your self over crowded with mobs.

And be carefull of pub games and taking banners. you can find yourself dead before you know it.
^ good tips. The hardcore forums have some interesting thoughts on this as well.

But let's try to stay on topic. This has gone way off-topic already, if the original subject is not going to be discussed the thread will be closed.

posted a message on Upcoming Auction House Shutdown: What should I Sell? What Should I Keep?
    Quote from Imedge666

The AH selling madness is absolutely crazy right now. I use to buy some stuff in the AH just to get some improvement but now that the price are skying high it's just plaine crazy.

Like the Flawless star Diamond at +60 million gold ? why buy that when you know in two weeks that you'll see marquise drop on the ground ? Why buying a legendary one-handed sword with 1300+ dm with socket for 500 billion gold when you're gonna get yellow 70's with 2500+ dm for killing a trash mob in two weeks ?

Even if you're not planning on buying the great RoS (in my opinion) when it come out. I don't know what's the point of all this price madness.
I think it's because lots of players are coming back to the game and have nothing, and they wanna get at least some legendaries before RoS comes out. So that when it is released they will have a working character able to do higher difficulties.

Also, think of all the gold accumulated by botters and RMAH users throughout 2 years of the game being live, all that gold is being thrown back into the economy now (from what we know it's pointless to have 50 billion gold in RoS) for the higher end vanilla items, which don't drop anymore and are still fairly powerful DPS items (like a trifecta Zuni's Ring).

posted a message on Quality of Life Improvement - Auto pickup/run over crafting mats and gems
    Quote from Bagstone

I'm in general not in favor of any auto-pickup. Yeah, it's nice that we automatically pick up gold and potions now, but I honestly think that "pick that damn stuff up yourself" should be part of the game. It's just my opinion. It's nice and convenient, but from an RPG point of view it somehow feels wrong.
I kinda feel the same way. Some automation is ok, but I don't want to see it take over too much of the game.

posted a message on Life Regeneration Mechanic
From my experience in the beta, stacking a little bit of everything seemed to work pretty well. Having 5-10k Life/second, 2-3k Life on Hit, and then some bonus to Health Globe/Potions made surviving on T3-4 possible, along with some skills that boost sustain and smart positioning (to greatly reduce damage taken).

I just needed to mind when to have each type of regen kick in and do its thing (when to make the most out of LoH, when to retreat and let it regen naturally, when to pickup a globe).

I remember seeing some players stacking just LoH or Life-regen and it probably worked as well, but I think it's less versatile overall. It's something we will have to wait and see, either way.

posted a message on Why Legendary Items Are (Mostly) Useless Before RoS (Video)
I wish the diablo playerbase learned the difference between the concepts of "useless" and "not being the absolute best in every situation".

Specially some of the higher end players, who don't realize that kind of toxic attitude and statment is responsible for misleading most of the less fortunate playerbase into hating the game without even knowing why (or without even having reason to do so, because they never reach that point in the game about which they hear so much crap).

    It's really a shame =/

    Awesome video! ^_^

I've found like 3 Blackthorne's Boots and 2 Chests, but not a single piece of the "class" sets :( I'm jealous of you guys!

And Lifesteal is definitely still hugely viable. It's probably still the easiest way of healing yourself. And probably will still be quite strong until we hit 70 in a couple weeks. Until then, I'm also sticking to LS with my Wiz.
