Most memorable is the butchers quest and Halls of The Blind - omg, that poem is super sweet (and super scary), i always remember it and i just love killing Illusion Weavers - they just die so sweetly (SFX was awesome!).

Well i only played SP. and a good use for them, similar to what you said, is to use against Act Bosses. I used Ghosts against the barbs and they took a lot of punishment and didn't die.

I do hope that with 1.13 they make the revives just reappear if they got left behind or stuck.

Also, if we speak about golems, i had it many times that my Iron Golem disappeared, a bit annoying if you make him from HQ item.

You guys (non US, Canada) that the chance of winning is very very very small right?

Also, whats up with all the WoW prizes? mofos. If it wasn't for WoW chances would be much higher to win :)

That Canadian law made me giggle.

I never really noticed the loading screens in Diablo 2 except when you first start a game but the Diablo ones admittedly got very annoying after the first viewings. This is good news.

The loading screen between acts (which last 1-4 sec) is hardly a bother.

I think they should charge similar prices as WOW because then it will force them to make it better all the time. the Online pvp and such has to be great so I think they should charge

Diablo is not an MMO! The main focus is PVM! Diablo is more about Single Player.

Revives are crap for 2 reasons: their damage is usually very weak and they always lag and disappear (annoying!). They are good tanks though, lots of life.

lol whenever I hear the word epic warcraft & stupid colours and music immediately jumps into my mind. I hate the word epic lol and bashiok said it several times just then. :| mmm idk what to think haha. In my opinion being subtle has a far greater impact in creating a scary mood than being epic e.g. for me a dungeon that is dark coloured with dark ambient music playing and the sounds of water dripping and wind blowing is far better than some dungeon with purple lights and a full blown orchestra playing.

    Exactly!

Diablo had a horror element to it. When you first get into the cathedral there is this eerie sounds and everything is sort of quite, and its scary! (and i don't mean scary like some FPS games can be, that you'll never achieve with isometric game. but the atmosphere was spooky nonetheless).

In Diablo 3 (i don't know if they used that Russel Brower theme only for demo purposes), but the atmosphere is much less scary.

no matter, as long as its EPIC!@@#!1111

To learn about this for yourself, visit your local prison and speak to a child molester. Ask him if his victim's bed was covered with a gray comforter or maybe something with ponies and bright colors.

When i'll want to play a Child Molster game i would definitly want ponies and candies scattered all over the place!

I think it would kill the fun of the game entirely. Maybe I'm just cheap but I agree with some of the other forum members who ask what happened to the days of gaming when you paid for the game and that was the only investment you needed. To me, it just seems to ruin the experience when I know in the back of my mind that playing a game like WOW is costing me money. Plus, it kind of screws the, and pardon my oxymoron, casual-hardcore gamers. The ones who may only play for a few days a week or even a month but when they do, they play for 10 hours at a time.

As for paying for cosmetic features, again I might just be a cheapskate, but when I see another sweet looking character and I say to myself "holy cow how do I look like that?!" and then find out I have to pay to do it, it creates a sense of inferiority because I can only look like that or have that skill, or sound like that if I shell out the money, which again ruins the experience for me. and I don't know about the rest of you, but when I pay for a cosmetic feature, or a skill, or item, or whatever, it loses its renown or its significance because there was no work put into the game to get it, it was just some spoiled kid's parent's fueling the child's ego by giving him the insignificant right to brag about something he didn't even earn.

100% agree. The reason i wrote, before, that i can only consider (as if its my choice lol) cosmetic upgrades is that it seems they will squeeze more money out of consumers one way or the other and i rather them not have any gameplay changes.

posted a message on Extremely Rare Items in Diablo III
They should make SP less rare and B.net more rare. (drop rate percentage that is).

I've been only playing SP Diablo 2 (after i finish Hell, i normally maybe go for a couple of runs and end my misery of this addiction), i've never found anything more rare than Ist rune - this is annoying! (I finished with 3-4 characters).

So i really wish that for Single Player they will make items easier to find, especially since there isn't any competition of who has the best in SP.

posted a message on New item type, no sets
    Quote from "SFJake" »
    This is old news.

Anyway. There have been much discussion about this already, maybe not in this forum though. I doubt sets are coming back. Especially for single player, sets are an absolutely horrible idea, at least in their implementations in D2. Maybe if there was obvious and more guaranteed ways to gain a set. But at the same time, this is Diablo, we want some randomness. So this is a tricky thing.

The thought of having special kind of items, a new type that is much more customizable, is not a bad one. I have no idea what they really will be coming up with, though.

I really hope Set Items will return in D3. But like you said, to gain a set (especially lower level), was just a pain and not probable.

They should have made more drops chance for set, or as soon as you would fine something, then the rest of the set would have much higher chance of drop. Or maybe one of the vendors to actually sell set items (at least it would make Trade something you actually use for buying!).

I'm almost sure sets will return, as we saw in gameplay when they equip Barb with "set" type of items.

what really tripped me out playing d2 was that rare items "yellow" and unique items "gold" imo had there names backwards, everytime you found a "rare" item, it almost always had attirbutes that you would never find in that particular order on any other item in the game... imo making it unique. and whats not unique about "unique items" is that every one found them and often they only had slight differences in their attributes, making them rare.

Well it depends on how you look at it.

Also the name implies on some kind of unique quality you won't find in any other item.

Dream is a runeword that can fit into polearms. This is one of the best weps for an A2 merc. Yes, it does answer your question from one standpoint.

I know its a runeword, i just saw you can only fit it in Shields and Helms (i play SP btw). ?

btw, I don't have any good runes, what is a good place to get rune drops?
