posted a message on New Bounties can't be completed due to not being able to click on survivors

Thanks for letting us know but generally speaking, there's a dedicated ptr bug report forum section for these kind of things on the official D3 forums:

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/14579126/

And with a quick search, it looks like this bug has already been reported: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/16542804988#8

posted a message on Roland's set viable at last?
    Quote from mannercookie»

    Hi Guys,

From my testing of PTR Rolands set outperforms everything (possibly may be best overall all classes)

I currently have the fastest clear for both barb and crus on PTR and I feel that Rolands will outperform my Barb atm

    Here's a video of my 2nd attempt at 53.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6KFoA5sNpM

Most exciting part is that Rolands is def Hardcore viable :o

Sweet, thanks for sharing that. I missed that stream ^^

Would be nice if we could see the build you were running and possibly a few comments about your gear - That's the fire rune on sb? are you using cindercoat? Does that mean you can give up on the Piro shield? Would you go for final witness if so?

On a second note, in a group setup with a wd, you will probably be able to go for full dps. Would you go for the pound rune then? I think it's safe to say that in the current 2.2 iteration, you can get to 20b dps quite easily with pound, is that wrong?

Was thinking something like Electrocute build with TF, Ball of Hate, Thundergod's, Stone Gauntlets, Wyrdward, Velvet Camral or the % to blind helmet.

Could use the % Primary skill damage gem and Lightning Wreath. Just create as many lightning damage sources as possible and push IAS, plus some other potential CCs on hit like blind.

I guess if you add the Blind faith helm and a Cord of sherma, along with the previously mentioned stun proc items / skills, you can get to a pretty high uptime of disable. Again, i'm pretty sure no matter how many stuns you stack, you won't be able to stunlock elites or rg's due to dminishing returns of cc effects on elite mobs. The WD's fear with tikilandian apparently ticks every second for 8 seconds and that's what makes it so OP.

@OP: The pros of having the WD disable evetyhing is that the WD provides awesome damage buffs / debuffs to the group. The Wizard has cold blooded and conflagration? Plus frost nova with bone chill and slow time... It's simply not comparable to the WD's buffs especially if the WD is running SMK.

The stun from the Paralysis passive, Wyrdward ring, Zei's stone and possibly Stone gauntlets could be nice but it will never lockdown elites like the WD's fear (With tikilandian) does.

    Quote from RiffSphere»

If they want to keep them in grifts as they are, they should give them difficulty levels and mix it, with only 1 of the hard difficulty. No more use to remake (there will always be bad mobs) while not having only bad mobs in there.

Pretty much this. There are some rifts where you get 5 different types of ranged monsters... like what the f***? There has to be a limit on how many monsters can spawn of the same class type. So only 1 or 2 types of ranged mobs like archers + warlocks for an example. Then 1 or 2 types of "big mobs" like unburied or whatever, and fill the rest with trash mobs like skeletons / zombies / etc... When you get archers + dune stingers + skeletal mages + warlocks + impalers... you just get destroyed and its not fun nor challenging, simply impossible.

Lacuni's and winged assassins are bullshit. Seriously.

Anarchs are bugged, if you stop their charge somehow with a disable, they will still cast the molten trail and that can kill you if you step on it.

I don't want everything to be just zombies but some mobs are seriously retarded and are unavoidable... When a monster charges / jumps you from outside of your screen, how the hell are you supposed to react? Just procs your second life and you are screwed.

In general, good groups or solo runs, when opening the rift, if you see exarchs and winged assassins, just leave the game and open a new one. Most of the times it's not even worth the effort imo.

posted a message on Shield Glare immunity?

Not sure what you mean... iirc there are no mobs that are immune to shield glare blind, just rift guardians have a very short period in which they are blinded. In general, all crowd control effects are reduced by a significant margin when applied to elites and even more so, when applied to bosses and rift guardians.

there are RG's that you can cancel their attack using the shield glare like Perendi for an example. There are other RG's that you can't really cancel their attacks like Orlash i guess - If he starts teleporting, you can't blind him to cancel it.

posted a message on Rift Guardian Fight in GR improvement? and Ancient Items

Agreed with his view on ancient weapons. I also agree with his points on GR RG fights. I think the "Boss room" idea is quite good. Increasing all damage of non ancient weapons by ~20% could be a solution but i'm not sure.

    posted a message on Torment 7 & 8

I think there's no harm in adding a few torment difficulties above T6. They just need to make sure that the bonuses you get from raising he difficulty will be minimal so it would really just be for people who are looking for extra challenge and that small bonus to xp / mf.

I agree that T6 is too easy once you are high plvl and geared out, but you can always go for GR's for harder content. I know that it's not the same and that's why people complain, but imagine if they keep the current increment (when looking at t1-6) and just add 7-10, the value of magic find and experience bonus will be so damn high. If they want to add more Torment, i think it's inevitable for them to nerf the lower torments and that would make some people rage...

Personally, i would like to see T7-10 just because 1-10 is a round number. Then they can re-balance T1-6 in accordance with the new scaling.

posted a message on PSA: No perma immunity anymore in 2.2

If they remove the WD disable from the game then high GR's will turn into one big cluster fuck. People will flip rifts 10 times more than what they are doing now.

They have to either reduce the ammount of affixes on elite packs or make elites attack slow, place fewer affixes on the ground, cast fewer and slower abilities... All this to make the incoming damage avoidable.

As long as there is 100% unavoidable damage in the game, people will outrange, zerg and go full glass cannon because if you get a good rift without elites as a solo dh, you will clear it in no time and possibly be ahead on the leaderboards because presumably everyone else will be trying to strike a balance between dps and toughness which obviously lowers their dps drastically.

Maybe items like the broken promises in 2.2 can help with the itemization because you will be able to skip crit chance on gear for an example. We have to wait and see i guess.

In general this change seems ok. The only really big nerf here is to monks i guess. The change might also mean that you won't have perma spirirt walk with a channeling pylon on, but that's not a big nerf compared to the monk tbh.

Oh yeah that's probably true for people running without a 0dog. But still, i think the WD can run rain of toads with Solanium and then you can still go for critical law. Not really sure though because i mainly run with a 0dog in group...

On 58 you just need to make less mistakes and as much toughness as possible. Sometimes you jsut "abuse" your indestructable proc just so you can pull a fire chains pack together for an example.

The toxin gem increases the damage taken by mobs by 10% so it's not for your dps it's for the groups'. Bott slows enemies down for others to gain the % damage bonus from their bott so again, it's not for your dps. And obviously wreath of lightning is purely for movement speed.

Scouting ahead is good but you must not be always away. You need to be close to the dh so they can get the law buff so it's always scouting and pulling but coming back to the group and staying there in important fights. Also, when scouting you need to be careful because if you encounter an arcane pack they will summon everything and then the wd won't have a place to stand...

I'm doing great dude, hope everything is well with you

Usually the dh's go for spitfire turrets to maximize damage - Polar station might simply be a "waste". You go bott to apply the slow on mobs around you (that 15 yard radius is quite big). Technically if the WD goes bott then you probably don't need to, even though it would be better because it's just higher area coverage. Some people might say that this is bullshit and that you wanna go for toxin, wreath and gogok but i don't think that i agree with this.

I think i learned the hard way that nemesis are bad. We wiped on so many attempts because of messing around with those bracers. We usually tried to pull off double or triple packs with the pylon because single elites just slow you down anyway, but adding a shielding reflect electrified arcane whatever pack can just fuck you up. In an ideal rift you barely have any packs, it's all just filled with white mobs. The 30% from SA is hard to give up on even though the debuff does not always apply for odd, unknown reasons...

posted a message on Other class sets

At this point the only new sets are the Wrath of the wastes (Barbarian), Delsere's Magnum Opus (Wizard), and Unhallowed Essence (Demon hunter). Some of the classic sets like Immortal king, Tal Rasha and Natalya's are also getting a revamp or an overhaul.

These are the most recently updated ptr patch notes: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/18061643/patch-220-ptr-patch-notes-2-25-2015

No one knows anything more than what has been disclosed in that post, plus the hotfixes applied recently and of course, hands-on experience on the ptr realm where players discovered some undocumented changes that were not covered in the patch notes.
