Jun 1, 2014Well, I had an eventful morning today. I painfully learned that Walleye have teeth. And don't, for whatever reason, let a rather large crayfish get a hold of that bit of skin between the ring and pinkie fingers. I tried to use it for bait, but since nothing wanted to take the sacrificial offering in return for a couple photos, I released the crayfish into the wild with a hole ready for a tail piercing.Posted in: Off-Topic
One bad ass crayfish if I say so myself. I'll probably see it again next time I go to Blue Marsh Lake, only next time it will have its tail pierced and tattoos on its claws.

I hate having the money to acquire a lot of dreams. Doesn't money for dreams kind of defeat the purpose of dreaming since everything you want you can get. You have no dreams then.
And if we consider having dreams as a requisite for being happy, then not fulfilling all your dreams is needed in order to be happy
Exactly! As you fulfill a dream you will become happy with the fact that you've just made a Dream Come True. Fulfilling all your dreams will make you very happy for a while, but eventually, everything just goes downhill because you have no more dreams to aspire too and you get bored with what you have done and what you have accumulated. You can dream of new things continuously and have a very fulfilling life. It's about making the right choices in life and if you screw something up, you become sad and depressed.
Here's an example of a dream I had.
When I was 15, it was a dream of mine to have a laptop of my own, and I was raised to work for what I want. So I worked a full summer job just so I can purchase a laptop and to get some money saved for college. I obtained a Dell Inspiron B120 in September of 2005. I got bored with the laptop a few years later and wanted a new computer. I waited until I had a job and some money saved up before buying a new computer. Another dream of mine that I wanted to achieve was to build a custom machine, which I achieved February of 2012 after holding a steady decent paying job in my field of study for a full year (Started working on Jan. 4th of 2011) and I bought all the parts for the computer and built it. I am damn proud of the fact that I built a kick ass machine using my own money that I saved up for it. I have a current dream of improving the machine as I go. Another dream was to purchase a brand new car, well I bought my first car this past month and guess what? It is a brand new 2012 Red 2 dr. Toyota Yaris LE. All with my own damn money and no help from anybody else (Yes, I hoofed it for 3 years along with riding the public bus).
So continue achieving your dreams and dreaming up new goals to continuously be happy.

I'm Sol77 from dfans and I wanted to tell you that I don't have a youtube channel.
It would be nice, if you could send me money directly.
If you don't want to, feel free to post anything amusing, in text or image form
Sep 30, 2012I'll start posting here again, now that I'm actually playing D3.Posted in: Off-Topic
I don't know how anyone could use the RMAH to purchase anything significant... I tried, and had to throw away the stuff I bought. I felt like I was cheating. I'd rather have shitty gear that I worked my ass off for, than a perfectly rolled item I bought with a credit card.
Meh, nothing against it, but it's just not for me.
Sep 20, 2012Last Friday I came third out of thirty-eight people at the Magic: The Gathering tournament I attend every week. I was pretty happy about how well I did, especially considering I've only been playing for five weeks or so. I won six booster packs, which is like $24 Canadian. The entry fee for the night is only $5.Posted in: Off-Topic
Also, it's been a week and three days since my last cigarette.

Warning: Mild expletives with a bad one here and there for taste.
You gotta remember something though. The world is full of idiots that all will be wiped out within the first couple weeks with zombies or gremlins. There are over 8 billion people on this planet, which has a surface covered with 70% water. Either way we will be far outnumbered, with us changing sides if it's zombies. I better hope you have more bullets than there are zombies or gremlins, and you are in an impenetrable armor and never need to eat, sleep, piss/shit, or fuck (masturbate if you're truly alone) ever again. Once you do one of those things, there's an opening and the last thing I need is some zombie gnawing on my wang as I try to take a piss break or some gremlins kicking me in the nuts repeatedly after knocking my ass over as soon as I opened up the suit. I forgot to mention that people will not partner up with other people if there's even a mild disagreement. So basically, you better have a room with a never ending furnace of hell hall-type thing constantly going in the only way in or out. This way the heat incinerates anything and everything. The gremlins have one advantage over zombies, they can learn and adapt.
you underestimate the power of a common enemy, humanity would be a loving war machine if someone/something gets in the way of our wars, we're as jealous of our own conflicts as we're conflictive

Dear OP.. your post stinks of "look at me I have a relationship with an actual female, hurray for me".
You're really thanking your girlfriend on a d3 forum instead of through the use of flowers, letters, chocolates, kisses etc.?
Sorry for being a prick, but WTF is up with that?
Does she only frequent these forums since you are using them as a communication channel? Is your post a statement of never-ending love and if so, wouldn't you be better off facilitating it otherwise?
How does this at all fall under D3 discussion?
Tbh, I did this primarily not so that she could see it, I said it because I've been seeing such negative aims at girls in gaming, just wanted people to know that there are some girls out there that enjoy our games as much as the males do. I'm sorry if the post is perhaps too positive for you, simply being thankful for something.
If this post is in fact, in the wrong spot the I agree, would a mod please move it, my mistake. I've never made a topic on these forums before.

Not to be a prick but there's probably another guy. LDR never works. You're on your own against the Lord of Terror my friend. The warrior's path is a solitary one.
It isn't a long distance one, she went away for an internship, we've been living together for quite sometime now I shall face the lord of terror with hope and optimism! I think from the long distance we've worked it out quite nicely!
May 13, 2012Just wanted to make a post about my girlfriend. I started going out with her right around the time Diablo 3 was first announced, and that was something I told her I couldn't wait for that it was going to be the best game ever and that we totally had to play it. We've gone through a lot of different struggles and challenges in our relationship, dealing with distance, school and communication. She went from being a person who rarely played video games at all to being a total gamer like me that I can talk to about game content and play hardcore games with me like SC2.Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)
We've been living together for quite sometime, and she recently had to go away for an internship on the other side of the world in Hong Kong and I miss her greatly, what I'm more sad about is that she can't play Diablo with me when it releases. I know that we can play when she gets back, I've come to terms with that, but it's what she told me the other day.
She said that she really enjoys sharing the experiences with me, with going to the midnight launch, and opening up that collector's edition box, and looking through all the goodies. She said she really missed not being able to go with me to this midnight release because it has been something I've been following since the beginning of our relationship.
I think its weird how some people say women can't be gamers and how it's a male only thing. I know that my girl could give them a run for their money.
What I'm really trying to say though, is thanks, for being there for me, and not only learning about my hobby, but making it something you enjoy too, and understand its meaning to me.
Cheers to all the girls who take care of us gamer guys!
