To understand this thread, I'm going to backtrack to the release of the barb and WD

As I was reading some articles and forums that occurred when the gameplay vid was released, Jay Wilson commented that the WD was not like the necromancer. Similar in a few ways, but not meant to be a remake of a beloved class. I read a few polls, and most people predicted a MAGE class for the 3rd class release. the wizard, Wilson says, is not a "mage" character. she doesn't only have elemental skills (read the skill tree people. shes not a sorc). Of the 3 classes, only the barb is a copy (DUH!!!).

To the point - most people think that blizzard is following a strict class guideline from diablo 2. news flash - they're not. sure, they look like a necro and sorc from just a glance, but imo the wizard and WD are quite unique classes. so why should blizzard make a new amazon and paladin?

In your eyes, this may be completely false. but i'm just trying to make a point, blizzard is much more creative than you think.

Really nice info, but I would like to see some links.

Siay - I'd help you. But you really need to stop getting pillaged by these people. Maybe they're sending scouts after you to see what towns are protected and which ones aren't? If thats the case, then equalize it out so she will have to fight back harder. And build some Steam Giants.

Okay, I can you add me to the list? 37:18 on the .com version. My game name is deathMars and I have sulfer on my island.

In game, the spelling is Tyrael, but when you open the speech files (via mpq reader), it says Tyreal! Not sure why have they done that...
It must be one of those "little mistakes", but it's not such a big thing. Whether Tyrae/eal becomes evil or not isn't going to be decided how the "ea" should be arranged.

    deathMars,

nice creative boss idea. i like the way it goes through so many stages of buildup. too bad posting is an exercise in futility ;)

I just redead it and saw so many grammatical errors and words spelled wrong. It's kind of sucks.

But anyway, thanks. I always liked fighting giants, like Bongo Bongo and the Collossi from Shadow of the Collossus so that was naturally my boss.

All I want to say is NO CC, that means no knockdowns, no stuns, no snares, no nothing that takes me out of combat, I know WoW has these and I really don't want them in DIII.

As much as I agree with you, I am 100% positive that they will have that in Diablo 3. It just seems natural to keep a big factor they had in Diablo 1 and 2.

And I think a cave that is a deformed face coming out of the ground, and when you go into it it swallows you. So You can't get out. And once you're in there it's like being inside a living being, so if you hit the walls in the right place, blood squirts out all over everything. And to get out you have to kill it(many ways to, like taking out vital organs and each has it's own loot, while the heart has the best loot, but is guarded by some champions.). (I just noticed I probably got that idea from Death's signature.)

    Ahahaha! My signature is noticable.

But that is actually a good idea, but only if it happens rarely, since then it will become too annoying.

    My suggestion:

A place called the Blood Pit, a hole of destruction that can only be found by using very complex magic, as the entrance is hidden. The actual mouth of the hole is invisible. It is covered by 6 feet of floating quick sand that sucks in anything that walks on top of it. Around the actual mouth are 200 feet high cliffs. No person has ever gone down these cliffs without falling off the slippery, bloody, and easily breakable. Then the surrounding these cliffs are what most people call the Black Geysers, highly volcanic geysers that spawn Ash demons and Lava monsters. But if you somehow, get passed the Black Geyers, the Hell Cliffs, and the Sand of Doom, then you will find yoursle in a pit of madness, which has 5 levels.

Level 1, The Collossus Spiral: The highest level is actually a large twisting spiral that goes along pits sides. Bodies and blood are spilled around this path and is guarded by a huge collossus that stand on the middle of the pit from the bottom. He will try to kill you using his hands and mouth, and has claimed the deaths of many who have fallen off the cliffs, into the quicksand, and dropped on the spiral.

Level 2 , The Volcanic Center: As thw spiral comes to a close, you will find your self in the heart of the Pits volacnic activity, which is sewered by skeletons and skulls. The pit then spreads itself in spider-like paths, each leading into lava chambers that spawn the Ash Demons and Lava Monsters. To actually get passed the area, you need to shut off all the Lava Chambers to allow you to go down the tunnels that the Lava takes to get here.

Level 3, Magma Maze: This level involves taking the agonizingly hot and monster infested tunnels that colled off since you turned them off. Your main obstacle is trying to find a way to the actual core without bumping into the dead ends like still heated magma, blocked tunnels, and really magma falls (waterfalls but instead it's magma).

Level 4, The Core: The center and deepest part of this pit is the place called the core. It is a huge lake full of blood, which is a collection of all of the evil blood in this world. At that moment, it was as big as an ocean. This level is mainly guarded by blood zombies that rise form the lake and try to kill you. In the center of the lake, there is an island which takes you to the final part of this madness.

Level 5, The Collossus Den: This is the boss and owner of all of ths pit. It is the home to a huge monster that is known as the Blood Collossus. The one that guards the spiral was his son. This monster is disturbingly huge, and is extremely hard to kill. He has 8 arms: 2 carry shields, 2 carrly swords, and 4 have a bow and arrow. It's think skin has ridiculous amount of defense and it will throw enourmous rocks at you as well.

Well that's my suggestion. I hoped you liked it. Sorry for all misspelled words. I didn't want to recheck this thing.

We'll as Leonard Boyarsky pointed out during Blizzcon (I think it was him), we don't actually know that Diablo will return for sure. Although I agree it would feel pretty weird if he didn't.

Now that's a shocker if you think about it. It's going to feel weird if a demon is not resurrected from the dead? That just doesn't make any sense :P

Diablo without Diablo would be one of the biggest disapointments ever, in my opinion.

Ohhh, I like your Mind Bogglers idea. That'd be frustratingly fun. It reminds me of Changelings.

I actually got the idea from Call of Cthulhu, where everything starts to talk to you and you go crazy.

We have no idea. I assume there are many ways the Prime Evils could return, but because we really don't understand the nature of the outside realms or the Black Abyss or anything, its impossible for us to determine whether the Prime Evils would have needed outside help or not. Unfortunately its already too late to do anything about it anyway. Evil is upon us.

Evil will always be upon the Sanctuary, as well as Light will be there for us also. I just remembered about Tyreal as well. We completely forgot about him. What happened? Did he turn evil? Or has he gone mad as well? Like the wise Harvey Dent said, "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

Well we don't yet know how exactly Diablo will return, but you're right, usually great evils take centuries to come back. Maybe the Lesser Evils have something to do with it... or maybe this is still all part of the Three's plan. They mustn't need much time to return this time around.

And Leoric? We dunno how he returned either. Whatever evil it is that made its way to Tristram (maybe something to do with the comet) must have enough power to reawaken old evils too.

So something we can conclude is that it took some outside help for Diablo to reawaken, or the Prime Evils.

Here are a couple I would like to see:

Mind Bogglers: Monsters that will disguise themselves as your merc, an old woman, some corpse, turn invisible, and switch voices. They will be in hell and truly make you go crazy.

Hiddens: Bring these back from Diablo 1. These were the best and scared me the more.

Collossi (spelling?): Some really huge monster that take forever to kill, like small mini bosses.

Ghosts: More like transparent floating zombies, but act like like those thinks from Arcane Sanctuary in Diablo 2.

Hand Creatures: You all played Super Smash Brothers and know Master Hand. Well I was kind of thinking of that but instead it doesn't float and its a huge zombie hand, like the ones from Zelda OoT.

Isenhart's set is a good set for newbies, as it was my first complete set and the armor was the first armor I found that exceeded 100. But that's just me.

And stanima potions are actually used a lot more than people think. You know when you're level 6 and you all of a sudden stop and have to walk away from Rakanashu (or whatever his name was). Yeah, that sucked for sorceresses in those days where you would put nothing in vitality.

20 years is a relatively long time because everyone was expecting for Hell to spill forth right after the Worldstone was destroyed. The Worldstone was Sanctuary's defense, and without it we have pretty much nothing. In this sense, 20 years is a long time for Hell (or Heaven) to not take the opportunity.

    But what about reawakening Diablo?

Oh and I just thought of something, what happened to Leoric? Why is returning all of a sudden?
